What Do We Believe

Beliefs are the core of any church organization and the RCCG Kingdom Palace strives to give a balanced and wholesome biblical and spiritual diet.

THE BIBLE TEACHING
We believe that the entire Scripture, both Old and New Testament are written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit – II Tim. 3:16-17. All the Christian teachings and the Christian attitude of the Children of God are such as are established in the Holy Bible – II Tim. 3:10-15; II Peter 1:21; John 17:17; Ps. 119:105.

We believe that the Bible is the written and revealed Will of God. Man’s position to God, the way to obtain salvation, woe and destruction awaiting sinners that refuse to repent and everlasting joy that is kept for the born again souls. All the Bible teachings are holy, what the Bible reveals as the will of God are such that we should accept, and whatever God writes in the Bible and His Law are to remain unchangeable; for the Heavens and Earth may pass away but the Word of God stands forever. Deut. 4:22; Rev. 22:18, 19; Matt. 24:34-38.

ABOUT GOD
(Ps. 33:6-9)
As revealed unto us by the Bible, we believe that there is only one God, Who is the Creator of both visible and invisible creatures -Gen. 1:1; Ps. 86:9-10; Is. 43:10-11; John 1:1-3. Only God will be in existence forever. Ezk. 3:14; in God every creature receives life -John 5:26.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
We believe that He is the Son of God; Who took away our sins, and the Savior of the world. We also believe that Jesus is God and was born by Mary the Virgin. He is God revealed in the flesh. Through Him all things were created. John 1:1-14; John 14:9; Matt. 1:18-25, Is 9:6; Ish 53:5-6. We believe in His death on the Cross, and resurrection, by which He brought redemption – Ish. 53:4-10; I Pet. 2:24; John 10:11; Gal. 3:13, Matt. 20:28; I Cor. 15:3; Rom. 4:25; II Cor. 5:14; Heb 2:9; Heb 9:26.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is the third Person in the TRINITY. He has the same power, the same glory with God the Father and God the Son – John 14:16-17; John 15:26; Matt. 3:16; Acts 13:24. He is one with Father and the Son who is to be worshiped and served. Three Persons that become one are the source of blessings to all the living creatures in Heaven and on earth – Matt. 28:19; II Cor. 13:14; I John 1:5-7. The Holy Spirit has a great work to perform. He Teaches, He Speaks to men, and bears witness in us – Acts 16:6-7; He performs the work of regeneration for man- John 3:5-6; He also performs the work of Sanctification in the born again souls until they are fully sanctified – John 16:8; Eph 1:17-19; II Thess. 2:13; I Cor. 6:11. This same Holy Spirit endows believers with gifts they can use – I Cor 12:7; He empowers one in the Lord. Acts 1:8.

ABOUT TRINITY
The egg is comprised of three parts: The yellow yolk, the whitish part, and the shell. Despite these three (3) substances, the egg is not three but one. Likewise, we believe that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost are one God, but made of three persons – hence they are ONE IN TRINITY – Gen. 1:16-29; Matt. 3:16-17; Matt. 18:19.

ABOUT THE DEVIL
We believe that there is a devil, who seeks the down fall of every man. He brought sickness, sin and death into the world. Gen. 3:1-16. He seeks the destruction of those who exercise their faith in the Lord Jesus. Matt. 4:1-11; James 4:7; I Peter 5:8. The devil has several unclean spirits over whom he governs – Matt. 12:24. A time would soon come when he shall be thrown into the pit and chained for one thousand years- Rev. 20:7-9. After this, he will be put into the lake of fire where he will remain suffering together with his followers for ever and ever. Rev. 20:10

ABOUT MAN
Things He created. Gen. 1:26. God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul – Gen 2:7. Therefore man is of three parts, namely body, soul and spirit. Man is God’s ambassador on earth to take control over all other creatures on His behalf on earth. Gen. 1:26-28. God allows man to take part in His work and thereby reveal His love for mankind more than any other creatures – Gen. 2:15. This also shows how God elevates man more than the other creatures upon the earth.

REPENTANCE UNTO GOD
Repentance is the sorrow of a godly man for his sins with decision to abstain from them – Acts 3:19; 20:21; II Cor. 7:10; Mark 1:15; Is. 55:7; II Chron. 7:14; Ezek. 18:21.

JUSTIFICATION OR NEW BIRTH
This is God’s grace whereby we are cleansed from our sins by which we are able to stand before God as though we have never sinned. Acts 13:39; Rom. 3:25-26; Rom 5:1; I Cor. 6:11; Gal. 3:24; John 1:12-13; 3:3; II Cor. 5:9; Titus 3:5; I Peter 1:23; Acts 10:43; John 3:3,5.

SANTIFICATION (HOLINESS)
Sanctification is another grace of God by which our souls are progressively and completely cleansed. This is the second accomplishment of the grace which through our faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ is wrought after we have been justified and free from our sins or regenerated – John 17:15-17; I Thess. 4:3; Heb. 2:11; 12:14; 13:12; I John 1:7; Luke 1:74, 75; II Cor. 7:1; I Peter 1:16; Eph. 5:25-27; I Thess. 5:23-24; II Thess. 2:13.

WATER BAPTISM
A. The Kinds of Baptism
We believe in baptism by the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost – Matt. 28:19. The teaching is revealed in the New Testament and all Christians must obey this rule of the Lord – Acts 2:24; Acts 16:15; Acts 18:8; Acts 19:4-5. Every saved soul automatically qualifies for Water Baptism – Acts 8:29-39; 16:18-23.B. Baptism by Trinity
We believe that all members of this Church should receive immersion Water Baptism, in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, as believers who would not add to, or take out of the Word of God. Matt. 28:19. C. The Reason for Water Baptism Water Baptism stands for a sign and an example of two things.
1. It is an outward sign, an example of a true repentance of a sinner from his or her sins. Acts 2:38; Acts 22:6
2. Anybody who is baptized is joined with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection – Rom. 6:1 – 23; Col. 2:12. Therefore anybody baptized is dead to the world and the evils thereof – Gal. 6:14.

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
All born-again souls should ask for the Holy Spirit from above, as the Apostles were ordered to wait in Jerusalem until they were filled from above. It is the promise of the Father. It is God’s gift which He gives to those who obey Him – Luke 24:49; John 4:14-26; Acts 1:4-5; Acts 5:32; Acts 8:14-17. It is God’s promise unto those who are far and all whom the Lord shall call – Acts 2:38-39. Any Christian who receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit must speak in tongues – Acts 2:4; Acts 10:34-36; Acts 19:2-6.

ABOUT PRAYER
A Christian without condemnation of heart has a right to thank God and be in adoration and in prayer unto the Lord always – Zek. 12:10. His soul thirsts for God – Ps. 42:2. The Holy Spirit helps his infirmities in prayer – Rom. 8:26. We must pray only by the Name of JESUS – John 16:23; ; I Tim. 2:25. Without faith our prayer shall be powerless before God – James 1:6-8; Heb. 11:6. Those who are unable to pray annoy God – Is. 42:22; Is. 64:6-7. Much trouble and danger are encountered in the absence of prayer – Zeph 1:4; Dan 9:13-14; Hosea 8:13-14. We are commanded to pray and not to faint and to pray without ceasing – Col. 4:2; I Thess. 5:17; I Cor. 7:5; Luke 18:1. The Apostles put prayer first in their life and they spent much time in prayer – Acts 6:4; Rom. 6:4; Rom 1:9; Col. 1:9. It is God’s plan and order that we should pray to receive all the goods He has promised in His treasure for us – James 4:2; Dan. 9:3; Matt. 7:7-11; Matt. 9:24-29; Luke 11:13.

ABOUT RESTITUTION
Restitution is a sign of true repentance. This is payment for what is damaged – Ezk.. 22:3. Whatever cannot give us a clear conscience before man and God should be restituted without delay – Lev. 6:1-7; Luke 19:8; Prov. 28:13; Acts 24:16.

DIVINE HEALING (WITHOUT MEDICINE)
Healing without medicine is Biblical – Matt. 4:23; Ps. 103:3; Sickness is caused because of the fall of man. The force behind this is Satan – Job 2:1-9; Luke 13:15; Acts 10:38. But JESUS came to destroy the works of the devil – I John 3:8. Christ purchased our soul from the curse of sin. He bore our infirmities and carried our sorrow – Matt. 8:15-17. By His stripes we are healed. Ish 53:4-5; Gal. 3:13; I Peter 2:24. Healing without medicine is of the Gospel – Matt. 9:35; Mark 6:10-18. We read that the twelve Apostles and the seventy disciples combined healing with their Ministry of the Gospel – Luke 9:1-2; Luke 10:1-9. The Lord commanded us to go into the world, just to teach the nations alone, but that we should also heal the sick – Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 10:1, Mark 16:15-18.

We could obtain our healing in these four ways: 1. By individual prayer – John 14:13-14 2. By two people (or a group of people) who have agreed to pray by faith – Matt. 18:19-20. 3. By the laying of hands on the head – Mark 16:18; Acts 9:18; Acts 28:8. 4. By the Ministry of the Elders, anointing the sick with prayer of faith – James 5:14-15 Special Notice – Before we can work by healing without medicine, we would have sanctified our life to the doing of the Law – Rom. 6:13, 19; Rom. 12:1; Matt. 16:24; II Cor. 8:5, 15. Many miracles were performed by the Apostles – Acts 9:33-42; Acts 19:11-12; Acts 28:8-9.

PROPHECY IN THE CHURCH
The Bible teaches us to abstain from all appearance of evil – I Thess. 5:22. “But follow after righteousness, faith, love, purging ourselves from unclean things so that we may be vessels unto honor, sanctified, and prepared unto every good work” – II Tim. 2:21-22. Therefore we must not see our Church members in dancing halls, or cinema halls, reveling, for such things are works of the flesh. All people doing such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God – Gal 5:19-21; I Peter 4:3-4; Prov 31:4-5; Rev. 1:5-6; Gen 19:30-38.

Swearing and Cursing Forbidden All Christians should not swear or curse or blaspheme for we were not taught of Jesus in such a way. “Bless, and curse not” Rom. 12:14. Swear not at all, neither by Heaven, nor by the earth or any other swearing. But let your yes by yes, and No be No so that you do not run into condemnation – Matt. 5:34; James 5:12.

DUE REVERENCE TO PARENTS AND AUTHORITIES
All Christians are to obey the law of the country, obey the government and authority. They should honor their parents and elders. I Peter 2:13-14; Rom 13:1-5; Eph. 6:1-3.

REBELLION AGAINST CHURCH AUTHORITY FORBIDDEN
Rebellion against Church Ministers is against the Will of God. Those who rebelled against Moses did not escape unpunished – Num 12:1-10; Num. 16:1-4,32. The Bible teaches that we should obey our Spiritual leaders and submit to them – Heb 13:17; Joshua 1:16-18.

DEBTS FORBIDDEN
Any member of this Church must not willfully enter into any debt which he finds difficult to repay for the Bible teaches us “owe no man anything, but to love one another” – Rom. 13:7-8. About Debt: 1. Monetary Debt 2. Debt of promise or Vow – Ps. 105:8 3. Debt of time – Eccl. 3:1-8 4. Debt of not preaching the Gospel – I Cor. 16-17

OUR GARMENT
We believe that any born again soul is a child of God and is clothed with white garment which is the Righteousness of Christ. It is received freely, a gift unto them that lead a victorious life – Rev. 19:7-8. Furthermore, we are advised to put on charity, which is the bond perfectness – Col. 3:13-14. It is not our policy to have special robes. We believe that all members must be moderate in adornment. “Not with braided hair, or gold or pears, or costly array, but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price” I Tim. 2:8-9; I Peter 3:1-6; Gen. 35:1-4; Ex. 32:1-8

LAYING OF HANDS AND ANOINTING THE SICK
We believe in the laying on of hands and anointing the sick on the head in the Name of the Lord and that prayer of faith shall save the person – James 5:14-16; Mark 16:17-18. But we do not use any other methods which are not according to Bible teaching such as sanctification of water for the sick to drink, or to perform special washing for the sick in the flowing river, the use of robe or garment, or to carry a small stick in the form of a cross ones person or the use of candles and such things. They are not Biblical. The order of our Lord is that we should heal the sick free of charge – Matt 10:8. We do not receive money or charge money before we offer prayer for anybody. All those using the above materials for healing shall perish with them – Mark 16:18; James 5:14; Matt 10:7-8; Mark 6:13.SWEARING AND CURSING

Swearing and Cursing is forbidden. All Christians should not swear or curse or blaspheme for we were not taught of Jesus in such a way. “Bless, and curse not” Rom. 12:14. Swear not at all, neither by Heaven, nor by the earth or any other swearing. But let your yes by yes, and No be No so that you do not run into condemnation – Matt. 5:34; James 5:12

HOLY MATRIMONY
Marriage is honorable in all – Heb. 13:4. Therefore all members who wish to marry could do so in the church in accordance with biblical instructions. I John 2:15-17; Rom. 12:2.

PROPHECY IN THE CHURCH
We believe in all the prophecies in the Bible; likewise we believe that we can be given the gift of prophecy by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit – I Despise not prophesying – I Thess. 5:20. But any prophecy that is against the Bible is rejected.1 Cor. 14:29.

CHURCH DISCIPLINE
Above all, whatever is not Bible teaching should be ignored entirely by all members. If there be found any member disobeying these teachings he may be disciplined privately, but if any backslider would not admit discipline and restitute his way, he may be disciplined openly as it is written in Matt. 18:15-18, So that truth might be established by the witness of two or three according to the Word of God. Rebuke them that sinned before all that others also may fear – 1 Tim. 5:20; I Cor. 5:1-13; II Cor. 2:6-11; Heb. 12:5-12.

ONE HUSBAND, ONE WIFE, CORRECT DIVORCE AND RE-MARRIAGE
The Word of God teaches us that monogamy has been the order since the beginning of the Law of Christ. Divorce is permissible only when a life partner has committed adultery. Even then, neither of the two should be married to a new partner while both are yet alive – Matt. 5:31-32, 19:9; Mark 10:11-12; Luke 16:18; Rom. 7:2-3; Mal. 2:13-16; Gen. 2:18: Matt. 19:4-6.

REVIVAL FIRE

REVIVAL FIRE
Acts 2: 1-4
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance

There have been many revivals in history. I would talk about two. One was a global phenomenon and the other shook Africa.
The Azusa Street Revival was a historic series of revival meetings that took place in Los Angeles, California. It was led by William J. Seymour, an African-American
preacher. The revival began on April 9, 1906, and continued until roughly 1915.
On the night of April 9, 1906, Seymour and seven men were waiting on God on Bonnie Brae Street, “when suddenly, as though hit by a bolt of lightning, they were knocked from their chairs to the floor,“ and the other seven men began to speak in tongues and shout out loud praising God. The news quickly spread; the city was stirred; crowds gathered; services were moved outside to accommodate the crowds who came from all around; people fell down as they approached
The recorded miracles happened from April 1906 to Nov. 1909. The glory of God inhabited this former warehouse and stable in the early years of the twentieth century, releasing miracles of healing 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week, for 3 1/2 yrs. Missing limbs grew where there was none, eyeballs filled in empty sockets, cancerous growths fell off, and lives were restored as the Shekinah Glory filled the building.

Life magazine and the USA Today have listed the Azusa Street Revival as being one of the top 100 nation impacting events of the 20th century. The Azusa Street Revival unleashed Christianity’s “next wave” growing to over 500 million adherents world-wide
William J. Seymour was the son of slaves, blind in one eye, self-educated, and a black holiness preacher, how unlikely it was for someone like that to lead a church in 1906 America let alone become the leader of a global revival.
As the Lord said in 2 Chr 5: 13-14 “A cloud covered the mountain and the glory of the LORD settled on Mount Sinai; (Ex. 24:17).When Solomon’s Temple was being dedicated, the house of the LORD was filled with a cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God; (2nd Chron. 5:13-14).”
So was it at Azusa.

In 1930, in Oke-Ooye, Ilesa, Osun State, Nigeria there was another revival
The 1930 revival is renowned as the event that sparked the beginning of pentecostalism and the main apostolic move of God in Nigeria. As the popular Azusa Street Revival of 1909, was to the United States of America, with William J Seymour, as the man at the centre of it, and the Welsh revival of 1904, with Evan Roberts at the centre, so also was the revival of 1930 in Oke Ooye, Ilesa Osun State of Nigeria, with Apostle Ayo Babalola at the core of it.
There was an ongoing Ilesa Apostolic Council Conference meeting which was intended to resolve some conflicts bordering on doctrine and style. The venue turned to a revival meeting, and when the hall was no longer comfortable, the meeting shifted to an open field air crusade, where men and women from all walks of life assembled daily for Prayers, healing, deliverance, and blessings. One day administrative meeting was turned to weeks of revival-meetings, where God used a non-delegate member to the conference, Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola to heal and cure hundreds of lepers, blind people, and lame persons. God had never been a respecter of persons, and he takes delight in announcing His name (Jehovah) even through the least-expected persons. People traveled from neighboring cities and countries to receive healing at Ilesa.
Several people were healed through the power of prayer amid evidence of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The revival lasted about 60 days and it is regarded as the greatest revival ever in Nigeria. Faith Tabernacle of Nigeria later invited the Apostolic Church of England in 1931 to form an Association that lasted until 1939.
Revivals are channels for the strong demonstration of the power of God has can be seen in both instances in Azusa and Oke-Ooye.
But how can men stoke the fire of revival?

First, hunger!
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. (Isa 55:1)
David speaking in Ps 42: 1a says
As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
The fire of revival will always be the product of a deep inner thirst for God.

Second, pray for it.
In the text above, we see that the fire of the Pentecost only came down after the apostles gathered in the upper room praying for days. The fire of revival will never fall on a cold arena. Even the fire in Oke-Ooye came down where the saints were gathered in prayers. The Azusa revival likewise. The fire of revival is such a precious resource God does not dispense it wastefully.

Lastly, wait for it.
Even though we pant and desire revival, it is still the prerogative of God to give revival. He is a faithful God. He would always honor the genuine desire for revival but you must never be in a haste. You must not be like Demas
For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia (2 Tim 4;10)
Many Christians move on so quickly when they wait on God a bit. Don’t be like Demas.

It is my prayer for you that the fire of revival will visit you and your household in this season of prayers in Jesus name.
Happy New Month.

The Blood that Speaketh Better Things (Heb 12: 24)

The Blood that Speaketh Better Things (Heb 12: 24)
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel

Dear Reader,
The most expensive transactions of life is conducted in the spirit realm. In the realm of the spirit, voices speak for or on behalf of men and voices speak against men. For instance, when Job was to be tested, a voice of affirmation spoke in honor of the loyalty of Job to his king and Lord while a voice of condemnation spoke in opposition of that affirmation. When the body of Moses was being contended for by satan there was an argument between satan and Michael. Moses was by then just a log of wood because his earthly body is in a rotting state already. There was no way he could speak for himself and even if he could, that conversation was taking place in the spiritual realms. In his defense, Michael spoke a word of rebuke to the devil saying “the Lord rebuke thee”- Jude 1:9 .

Men and Brethren, who is speaking on your behalf? In rooms that you cannot enter who is speaking on your behalf? In the nights when you sleep as a log of wood who is advocating your case in the realms of the spirit? Who is actively conducting the spiritual transactions of the night and negotiating in your favour? In faculties and places where your matter is being discussed who is pleading your cause?

Secondly, who is speaking over your life as a shepherd and watchman? I remember the story shared by Nigeria’s Vice President Prof Yemi Oshinbajo when he had a plane crash. He had been called by his spiritual father that morning. Daddy Adeboye had shared with him what the Lord showed him of the evil that was to happen later in the day and then he spoke a word of prayer on his life. He reassured him the Lord had averted all evils. Later that evening on the campaign trail there was a plane crash that almost took his life. But, just as the Lord had spoken all evils were averted- nothing lost, nothing missing. Fathers are coverings. When the Lord gifts you a fatherly watch it is often another layer of cover.

Dear Reader, blood represents the very essence of life. The Bible speaking in Lev 17: 11 says the life of the flesh is in the blood. When medical practitioners want to examine diseases they take a sample of the blood. The gene types of a human being are defined by the blood. When a man loses a lot of blood, he dies. Blood represents the life of a man.

We need to understand the various effects that a blood can have in the spiritual dimension. There is a blood of vengeance. When a man, a people or a nation spill blood of innocent men the blood of such an innocent man may call for vengeance. This was the case with Abel. (Gen 4) His brother Cain had killed him out of jealousy. When Abel was killed and his blood spilled, his blood cried for revenge. Today, in a nation like Nigeria the blood of many innocent people is crying for vengeance. Many people have died extra-judicially and innocently and their blood is asking for vengeance. May God heal our country in Jesus’ name.

There is a blood of redemption and mercy. The bible taught of the principle of substitutionary sacrifice.

Apostle John speaking in (1 John 2:1-2) says “…If any man sin. We have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world.” The blood of men may speak vengeance and rebuke but please note dear reader that the blood of Jesus is always seeking mercy for us his children.

Whatever condemnation you may have from men, whatever charge is against you, don’t ever forget that Jesus paid it in full. He went to the cross because he intended to be your substitution. Don’t carry the burdens of your life all by yourself. Don’t carry the weight of your sin all by yourself. Your problem is not the biggest. Your sin is not the worst. He has given murderers and men who had hit the rock bottom a new beginning. He changed their lives. He can do same for you. Suicide can NEVER be the solution. It would lead you to hell. Self pity and native doctors can never be the solution. They would put you in a deeper hole. Jesus is the only solution. He is your very efficacious substitution. Come to him today if you do labour and are heavy laden and he would give you rest.

Happy new month

A New Beginning

A New Beginning
(Ex 12:1-2)
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
The value of a promise is a function of the speaker of the promise. In this world, there are men and there are men. When some men talk you can go to sleep because they will honor the word even if it is at the cost of their lives. But when some other men pronounce a promise they carry no weight at all. They can renege on a promise just because it rained heavily or it was a sunny day. Our God is not like that. Numbers 23:19 says “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

There are three things that make the word of our God of particular consequence.

First is the Ability of our God.
No one can give what he does not have. Recall the story of the exorcists who; trying to mirror the spiritual exploits of Paul in casting out demons said in Acts 19 to evil spirits “...We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.” Interestingly, the Bible calls them “Vagabond Jews”. By definition, vagabond means “impostor”, not born of the presumed father. In truth, that was who they were. They were claiming the brotherhood of the Kingdom when in fact they had no identity in Heaven. Our God is not like that. By proofs again and again; by proof documented in medieval times and now, our God has proven His capacity to do what men cannot do.
A few months ago, in the ancient city of Akure, working through the hands of a young believer our God raised a popular middle aged man who was reportedly lame from birth. The capacity of our God has not reduced with time. Just as he did of old, He is still doing today.

Secondly, the Integrity of God
It was Alan Kooi Simpson a United States Republican Senator representing Wyoming who served from 1979 to 1997 that said “If you have integrity nothing else matters. When you do not have integrity nothing else matters”. The integrity of God is unquestionable. Even the integrity of those who follow in his steps is solid.

And lastly, the love of God
God speaking through the mouth of Prophet Isaiah in Isa 49:15 says “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”
When I think about the love of God, it makes me shiver. God sent His only begotten son to the world to die for mankind in hope that mankind would take advantage of Calvary. And I ask, what if all men reject his offer? What if no one repents? His only begotten son would have died in vain. God took a pre-emptive risk. That’s a depth of love no one can explain.

These three reasons above makes it impossible for God to fail whenever he says a thing. Paul speaking to the Roman Church says in Rom 8:32 “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Dear friend, if there was anyone who knew God at close range Paul did.

As this new month unfolds I challenge you therefore to hold on strongly to what you have heard Him say to you. He is not a son of man. He cannot lie. He has said it emphatically- even though it is November God is making it your own January, the beginning of a new year. The implication of that just in case you do not know is restoration of time in all of its dimensions. Men say that time is the only resource in the world that once lost can never be regained- not with God.
Jesus came to the tomb of Lazarus three days late, in spite of that defining lateness, when he got there, he was still right on time. He did not just reverse the death of Lazarus, he restored time unto him (John 11:1-45)

It is my prayer for you today dear reader that God will fulfil the promise of Exodus 12:1-2 in your life. November shall be as January to you and you shall pursue and recover all.
Happy new month.

THE GOD OF ALL FLESH

THE GOD OF ALL FLESH
Text :Jer 32:27
Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth. The water rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than 20 feet. Every living thing that moved on the earth perished – birds, livestock, wild animals and all mankind. Everything on dry land that had breath of life in its nostrils died. Every living things on the face of the earth were wiped out; men, animals and birds of the air. BUT GOD REMEMBERED NOAH and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth, and the water receded. Genesis 7: 17-23; 8:1

As I read this scripture, I couldn’t help but reflect on the many storms that we often face in life: natural disasters, the storm of rejection, divorce, family problems, anger, doubt, unemployment, fear, hunger, shame, loneliness and unforgiving folks. To make matters worse, in the midst of those storms, there are the gale force winds of anxiety and the clouds of utter darkness.

There is a tendency to panic, feel frustrated, overwhelmed and abandoned. You probably ask where is God? Where is that light from the lighthouse? What is taking Him so long? Why doesn’t He rescue me? Can’t He see that the 20 foot wave is about to destroy me? Why did He wait until the sickness has lingered, the bill collector is knocking, or until the money is all gone?

I don’t know, but one thing is for sure, God has not forgotten you. He sees you and He cares deeply about you! Yes, He watches closely for each individual. His timing is always right and He will always do what is best. Through him we can all find rest despite the catastrophes that harass our world.

Isaiah 49: 15-16 states: “Can a mother forget the baby at Her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands”. It is so reassuring to know that everytime God looks at His hands He sees us. God knows us by name. He is indeed the God of all Flesh. We are also reminded in Matthew 10:30 that the very hairs on our head are numbered! Whenever we feel alone or rejected, whenever we feel pain, we can know that God has not forgotten us and He will help us find a way out of any situation no matter how bleak the circumstances may appear.

For as many as are going through real turbulent times in life I have come to encourage you. Cheer up for help is near. Your God, our God is the God of all flesh. Nothing is too hard for Him. He who got money from the mouth of the fish there is nothing that he cannot do. He who shut the mouth of the lion because of Daniel; He who stilled the sun for seven years, there is nothing that he cannot do.

Like God did in the days of Noah, He continues to do and is about to do today. He is sending His wind over your situation so the waters may recede. Welcome His presence and allow His anointing to saturate every crevice of your being; If you are not in His will, He is offering a new beginning to those of us who will return to him. Notice when God is at the helm how chaos quickly turns to calm.

Though you hear nothing, He is speaking. Though you see nothing, He is acting. Every incident in your life is intended to bring you closer to Him. God has already made a way. Enter into His presence with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise and allow him to show you the path to HIS WAY.

Let me close with my favorite scripture that I have used for many years to minister to myself. “So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and Help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”. Isaiah 41: 10(NIV).
Happy New Month.

Repositioning (Luk 15: 18-20)

Repositioning (Luk 15: 18-20)
Happy new year to you dear reader. I want to congratulate you for making it into this new year 2022. It is my prayer that this new year will be a year among years unto you in Jesus name. I pray that God will cause your feet to be deeply planted on the road to progress and you will never look backwards.

Our theme as we start this year is Repositioning. - RE-positioning.
What does it mean to reposition? First, you need to understand that positioning speaks about how you stand in relation or in contrast to other objects or other matters of reference. Positioning can also be explained as how you differentiate yourself from other similar concepts, principles or players in a domain.

As you begin this year dear reader please note yet again that the heart desire of God is that you succeed. The Bible speaking about the desires of our God for us in 3 John 1:2 says “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”. God desires your all-round progress and prosperity. But in spite that God desires progress for you it is easy for a man to hinder the good thoughts of God towards him in 2022 by the error of wrong positioning.

To be clear dear friend; the blessings of a man assigned to him by God is always planted in the place of his assignment. So, just to let you know, God’s blessings is everywhere but not everywhere for everyone. The Book of Genesis Chapter 12:1-4 Chronicles the beginning of the journey of Abraham with God.
“1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father′s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:”

Notice very closely, the wordings of Verse 2 and the order of the instructions- first go where I will show you and then I will bless you. You see how important your positioning is in determining the blessings of God over you? Until Abraham left his father’s house for the country of his assignment he did not receive the promise and fulfillment of the promise. There is an exact place where God wants you to function. There is a place of your own planting. Prayerfully ask God for it as you go into 2022 so that your effort more than ever will yield great reward.

Secondly, I want to have you know dear brethren that your positioning is also a function of the people and the environment even in the place of your calling. While it is important to go where God wants you to be, you must ensure by all means not to be around people that God does not want in your life. Sometimes we like a company of many but a company of fool shall always suffer destruction. Prov 13: 20 says “Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”
If your environment is not right for the word of God to find full expression, you might be frustrating Grace in 2022. It is a very important requirement in 2022 that you cultivate a kingdom environment all-around you throughout this year. Find the right companions as prayer partners. Get an apartment where you will not wake to the chant of Muslim prayers. Look for a job that allows you to serve God- be intentional.

Lastly, I want to have you know that your positioning is God-limiting if you are not very differentiated from unbelievers. 2022 is not the year to try to please men and blend-in. It is the year when all you do is please God and God alone. If you would be pleasing God you have got to stand in clear contrast to the ways of the world. Stop trying very hard to be accepted by the world. Jesus already said it in John 15:18-19. “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. Verse 19: If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you”
The Book of Luke shows us the life of the Prodigal Son. He had left the place of his planting to go to a country where God did not send him. The result was catastrophic. He was reduced to lesser than a pig.
He said to himself “I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, Verse 19: And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. Verse 20 :And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” (Luke 15-18-22).

Dear reader, even if you are very far from where God planted you or where God instructed you to go it is time to do like the prodigal son. This new year provides a great new opportunity. Make use of it.

I wish you a happy and prosperous new year 2022.

New Day (Ps 118:24)

New Day (Ps 118:24)
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Many men live in “yesterday”. Even while the world has moved on, they are tied to yesterday. The problem of many people is their attachment to the struggles of their yesterday. You see, many people are so used to the comfort of their past failures that they are unwilling to move into the promises in the future.

Dear Reader, if there is one thing you must know- it is that yesterday has no control over anything that happens to you from here.

It amazes me each time I read the passage of the Bible Ex 14: 10-12 which chronicles the regret of the Israelites and their anger against Moses in spite that God was just executing their freedom from 430 years of oppression.

10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.
11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.

… Isn’t that interesting? The Children of Israel actually said with their mouth that they would have preferred the harrowing torture of Egypt to the freedom that was just ahead. Many of us are like that- unwilling to embrace progress because of the unyielding attachment to the past. I pray for you today dear reader, in any way that you may currently be attached to the past, God Almighty will cause a definite separation today in Jesus’ name.
The breaking of dawn signifies the opening of new opportunities. When a new day breaks a new opportunity opens.

The bible speaking in Ps. 118: 24 says “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”. Please understand dear friend that every single day that God makes comes with mercy, rejoicing and gladness. It is never the desire of our Lord and Saviour that you partake in the troubles of a day. For you to enjoy the goodness in a day however, you need to lift up your expectations particularly if you have endured dryness, lack, affliction and rejection much of your life. You may be in that place right now where you have concluded that a new day is not for you. That is not correct. The specialty of our Lord and Saviour is giving a new beginning to men who had a terrible yesterday.

In Isa 43:19c God says “I will make rivers in the desert”. Please note, NOT “a river” BUT “rivers”. By definition a desert is a place where no plant can grow because there is never water in and around it. As a result of this, a desert is always lonely and deserted. Is there anyone reading this piece who is in that condition right now? Perhaps you have been avoided by men like a plague. It could be because of a malignant medical condition or a terrible financial situation. It is even possible that family and friends do not pick your calls anymore; maybe you have become so much a burden to them. Hear me dear reader, your glory will speak yet again. Very soon men will come to the glory of your rising. I have the assurance of God to say to you this day “You will not die in that terrible situation” God, even our God will show up for you. Behold, our God will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? He will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in our deserts.

As this year runs to an end, let me assure you yet again, that your morning is coming very soon. I assure you dear Reader, there is a rainbow on the other side. Very soon your sun is shining and very brightly too. Do not despair. Hold on to God in faith. Your own morning will soon break.

A New Wave Of Glory (2 cor 3:18)

A New Wave Of Glory (2 cor 3:18)
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Dear friend, it is now the eighth month of the year and very fast 2021 is rolling by. I would love to ask you a question: How much better is your life today than yesterday?
The song of many is the victories of yester years. They have no new victories. They have covered no new grounds.
Please hear me dear reader, any man who prides himself only of victories of yesterday is a man of yesterday. He has no relevance in the now. May you not be that kind of man in Jesus’ name.

May I have you know that God is only delighted in men who make conscious efforts to move ahead each day? He spoke in Exodus 14:15 ”And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.” Hebrew 10:38 says ”… but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” God is not interested in those who keep on a spot. God is not delighted in those who draw back. His only delight is progress-a new level, a new glory!
Our God is a dynamic God. Every new day He renews His glory. Every new day He does something greater. Many are so used to the ways of yesterday that they do not imagine new things. Many are locked in their expectations that they do not dream bigger dreams.
For as many people who are held back by the victories of yesterday God will give you a new ground to conquer in Jesus name.

Do you know dear friend that the problem of some people is the victory of old?
Isa 43:18-19 is significantly descriptive of what exactly the glory of God can do to a man. Let us examine the spiritual import of Isa 43:18-19 for a moment.
“…I will even make a way in the wilderness…”(Isa 3:19B) I do not know that man or woman who is reading this piece right now and all around you there is thick darkness; no light or any sign that there will soon be light. You have come to the limits of your wits and the end of your wisdom. But the word of God is coming to you today. God is making a way of escape for you. Dear reader, I like you to know that the delight of God is doing the impossible. Impossibility is the specialty of our God.

The book of Mark Chapter 4 recorded the event of the wild storm when Jesus was asleep right at the innermost part of the cabin. Everyone in that ship on that day was afraid. They believed they would die. But Jesus right in the middle of the storm was fast asleep; it took some time to even wake Him. They said to him “Carest not thou that we perish?” That day Jesus did one more new thing. Right in their presence he spoke the word “Peace be still” and the wind obeyed. They exclaimed “What manner of man is this? Even the wind and the storms obey him”.
Listen to me reader: that long-standing problem of your life that you believe would cost you a fortune or even your life savings will disappear at the word of the master.

In Isa 43:19C God says “I will make rivers in the desert”. Please note, NOT “a river” BUT “rivers”. By definition a desert is a place where no plant can grow because there is never water in and around it. As a result of this a desert is always lonely and deserted. Is there anyone reading this piece who is in that condition?
Perhaps you have been avoided by men like a plague. It could be because of a malignant medical condition or a terrible financial situation. It is even possible that family and friends do not pick your calls anymore; maybe you have become so much a burden to them. Hear me dear reader, your glory will speak yet again. Very soon men will come to the glory of your rising. I have the assurance of God to say to you this day “You will not die like this” God, even our God will show up for you. Behold, our God will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? He will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers our deserts.

2 Cor 3:18 says “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”
As the Lord Almighty Himself has spoken, the only course of our lives from now and henceforth shall be from glory unto higher realms of glory in Jesus name.

Happy new month of a new beginning.

Breaking Limits (Zech 1: 18-21)

Breaking Limits (Zech 1: 18-21)
18 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.
20 And the Lord shewed me four carpenters.
21 Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

What really causes embargoes? What really makes it impossible for men to attain unto the fullness of their destinies?
The easy answer would be: “devil and his agents”. While this is not false there is yet more powerful enemy and it is within. Apostle Paul while admonishing the Church in Corinth in 2 Cor 10: 5 talks about
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ”

Let me take a moment to talk about the power of our imaginations. You see, there’s nothing as powerful and as God-like as the imagination of a man. At the tower of Babel the men who gathered said “…Let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.” (Gen 11:4). This is imagination in action. At the beginning of creation, God the father said “…Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth (Gen 1:26). That is God imagining the beauty that order and creation would bring. This was the exact reason God said to Moses in Gen 13: 14-17 “…after Lot had gone, the LORD said to Abram, Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all this land, as far as you can see, to you and your descendants as a permanent possession. And I will give you so many descendants that, like the dust of the earth, they cannot be counted! Go and walk through the land in every direction, for I am giving it to you.”

The problem however is that imagination is neutral, you can either use it for good or evil intents and many people would rather deploy their imagination in pursuit of evil than good. They feed their imagination with wild thoughts that never edify but which are capable of utter destruction. These evil imaginations are the very things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. Evil imaginations stifle spiritual access and Godly interventions. More terrible are the dis-empowering beliefs that many a Christian fondly embrace.

Dear friend, if you will break limits the starting point is purging your mind of dis-empowering beliefs and unhealthy negative imaginations. Let me be clear to you: no one can win the battle of life who has lost the battle of the mind. The first limit you must break is the limit of your mind. You must believe for instance that becoming great is your right and that you are entitled to it by the grace that was made available at Calvary. That belief has got to be very strong; driving you in the direction of destiny each and every day. If for any reason you succumb to the pedestrian thinking that “destiny cannot be changed” and “whatever will be will be” it is difficult to amount to much in life.

After you have dealt with limiting imaginations the second step to breaking limits is dealing with unhealthy association. Look for a moment at Gen 13: 14 again “…after Lot had gone, the LORD said to Abram, “Look as far as you can see in every direction—north and south, east and west. I am giving all the land, as far as you can see, to you”. Did you see that?... after Lot had gone… Not before, not when he was about to go, after he had gone. For many a believer their very limit is the associations that they have vowed to always keep. Those associations carry so much weight of disgrace that they effectively neutralize the liberating impact of grace upon their lives. The Bible is emphatic “Do not be deceived, bad communication corrupts good manners”. You can’t stay in the wrong associations and expect the God of grace to waste His grace on you. Please and please dear friend. This is 2021. Review your associations and dis-engage from every unedifying “Lot-like” relationships.

Lastly, limits are broken in the place of action- prayer, fasting and work. In spite of the prophesy that had gone ahead of Judah it took the very action of the “carpenters of destiny” to remake the destiny of Judah. Evil horns have scattered Judah, Jerusalem and Israel that no one except strangers could lift their heads. Their heads were bowed in perpetuity, but thank God for raising the Carpenters to cause a restoration.

Dear Friend, it is time now for you to be the carpenter of your own very destiny. Get up. Don’t sleep. War against these strange horns that have kept your destiny down and I am sure that the God of heaven will give you irrevocable victory and restoration in Jesus name.
Happy new month.

Rule In The Midst Of Your Enemies (Ps 110: 1-2)

Rule In The Midst Of Your Enemies (Ps 110: 1-2)
“Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet” (Psalms 110:1 NIV). This is the most oft-quoted Old Testament verse in the New Testament. But as we consider now what right-hand-of-God power might look like practically in our lives, I want us to pay particular attention to the verse that immediately follows: “The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, ‘Rule in the midst of your enemies!’” (Psalm 110:2 NIV).

Notice, however, it’s not a promise that the Lord will get rid of our enemies. Instead, God wants us to rule in their midst. This is not a rose-garden promise to remove our enemies, but an invitation to rule in the midst of them. As David expressed it in Ps 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies”. Though we have enemies, we can rule in the midst of them and be “more than conquerors” through Christ (Romans 8:37). Having been raised up and seated with Christ “in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 2:6; Colosians 3:1), we are therefore at God’s right hand, enthroned with Christ in the place of authority. That means we are no longer in a defensive, but an offensive position in relation to our enemies. We are in the midst of them but also looking down on them from above. Knowing that should cause us to rise up in confidence, boldness, and authority.

Remember the story of David and Goliath? Goliath was insulted that the Israelites would send out such a pathetic, unworthy opponent as David to fight him. He was infuriated when he saw that the man who had been sent out to fight him was “only a youth.” “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” he taunted. “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and to the wild animals of the field” (1 Samuel 17:43–44).
Goliath, the nine-foot giant, armed from head to toe, was an experienced, bloodthirsty warrior. David, the shepherd boy with only a sling, was obviously no match for him.
Yet when Goliath advanced toward him, what did David do? Tremble? Shake in his boots? Start backpedaling as fast as he could? No. Scripture says: “When the Philistine drew nearer to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:48).
Amazing! David didn’t wait for the giant to initiate the combat. Instead he put his head down and charged toward Goliath. He didn’t fight defensively, using his quickness and smaller size to avoid Goliath’s attacks, hoping possibly to wear the giant down. No. David went on the offensive!
King Saul and David’s older brothers were probably shaking their heads in dismay. How foolish could David be? The lowly shepherd boy must be delusional! Yet we know that wasn’t the case. Why then was he so undaunted and courageous?

What David shouted to Goliath just before he charged toward him provides the answer: “You come to me with sword and spear and javelin; but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts” (1 Samuel 17:45). David’s boldness and confidence was in the name of the one in whom he had come: Yahweh. David had set his mind on things above, on the one above, who sits on heaven’s throne.
After he defeated Goliath, David went on to become a mighty warrior, no doubt the greatest in all Israel’s history. “Blessed be the Lord, my rock,” he would declare, “who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle” (Psalm 144:1; Psalm 18:34). Scripture describes his mighty exploits in significant detail.
But the reason David became a great warrior and subdued his enemies was because, first and foremost, he was a great worshiper. That was how he set his mind on things above. Before he learned to wield a sling or a sword, he first learned to play a harp. That’s what we remember him for most: his worship songs found in the Psalms. So many of the individual psalms are attributed to him that Charles Spurgeon aptly titled his great devotional commentary on the Psalms, The Treasury of David. The close connection between worship and warfare is hard to miss in many of them. Consider Psalm 27, for example. “Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war rise up against me, yet I will be confident” (Psalm 27:3). He sure sounds like a confident warrior here!

But notice the following verse: “One thing I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple” (Psalm 27:4). Often that verse is quoted to underscore the centrality and the priority of worship. It’s the “one thing” David desired.
And as a result of doing that “one thing,” he exulted, “Now my head is lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord” (Psalm 27:6).

David was a great warrior because he is a great worshiper! He was able to subdue his enemies because his head was lifted up above them. Because his eyes were focused on the Lord, while he was in the midst of his enemies he was looking down on them from above. As he said at the very beginning of this same psalm, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1).

Dear reader, if like David we want this kind of sweat-less victory over every enemy, a life of worship is simply the secret.

Happy new Year 2021.

Fresh Start

Fresh Start
(Isa 43: 18-19) Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Are you stuck in life and it seems there’s no way out? Are you desperately seeking a fresh start and a new beginning? Many of us have made many mistakes in our lives as Christians. We have experienced many setbacks and failures throughout our lives. Sometimes we allow these mistakes, these setbacks and failures to enslave us to the point that we never enjoy the full Christian life that God has given us to enjoy.

In John 10:10 Jesus said, “I am come that you might have life and have it more abundantly.” Then he goes on to tell us that there is an adversary, called the Devil, that seeks to steal, kill and destroy that life. The Devil will remind us of our past in order to keep us from enjoying the abundant life that God gave us to live. The Devil does not want you to have a fresh start at all. He wants your mistakes to define your existence forever.
The good news is, God says, “I want you to have a fresh start in life, I want you to have a new beginning, I want to do something new in your life.”

Today, the good news according to Isaiah 43:18 is this and these are the words of the Lord “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” God is saying don’t think about the past. It’s over. The book is closed and a new chapter is opening.

We need to understand that God is far more interested in our future than He is in our past. Some people think that God is stuck on their past. That all He wants to do is remind them of the things that they have done wrong. God is more interested in your future than He is with your past. That’s where you’re going to spend the rest of your life. Israel was being punished for their sins and rebellion against God. God wanted to give hope and encouragement to His people. He wanted them to know that even though they were being punished they were not being forsaken.

Maybe that miry clay is the spot where you are today! You probably feel you have made so much mistakes and God should now be done with you. Perhaps you have even failed God very terribly multiple times. I have come to tell you today “It is not over”
Permit me to share with you an interesting formula for starting again. It is themed S.T.A.R.T.
I hope you’ll remember this and pass it along to friends when they have failures as well. Regardless of the failure you’ve had in your life, here’s how you can start over.
  • S – Stop making excuses.
  • If I want a fresh start in life, I have to stop making excuses for my failures. I’ve got to stop blaming other people. I’ve got to stop seeing myself as the victim of my circumstances.
Other people can hurt us, other people can harm us, and other people can scar us. But the only person that can ruin your life is you. Nobody can ruin your life without your permission. You have a choice, that is you can choose how you’re going to respond to those hurts. The Bible says that the starting point is to just be honest and accept responsibility for your part of the problems.
Proverbs 28:13 says “He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whosoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.”
  • T - Take Inventory.
  • The second critical step in starting anew is taking inventory. It means evaluating all experiences. You need to look at what is now left of your life, what your position is. Galatians 3:4 admonishes us to review our past. There is a lot we can learn by reviewing your past and present state.
The Living Bible says, “You have suffered so much for the gospel. Now are you going to throw it all over board.” I can hardly believe it.
Learn from your mistakes. Failure can be your friend or your foe. You determine if failure will be your friend or foe by the way you react to it. You can choose to learn from it or choose to repeat it. If you learn from it then it can be your friend. However, if you don’t learn from it is your foe.
  • A - Act in faith
  • This is the third step in getting a fresh start: acting in faith. You have to launch out into new territory. The Bible says that the key to changing anything is faith. If you want to change your circumstance, it takes faith. If you want to change your personality, it takes faith. If you want to change anything in your life, you have to have some faith.
Jesus says this in Matthew 9. “According to your faith it will be done to you.” That is a very simple statement but it’s very powerful. “According to your faith it will be done to you.” That means we tend to get out of life what we expect. “According to your faith it will be done to you.“
  • R - Refocus
  • Now, it is time to refocus your thoughts if you want to change your life. Proverbs 4:23 says “Be careful how you think. Your life is shaped by your thoughts.“
The way you think, determines the way you feel. And the way you feel determines the way you act. If you want to change your actions, just change the way you think and it will inevitably change the way you act. If you are depressed, discouraged and distressed it may be because you’re thinking depressed, discouraged and distressing thoughts. That’s your choice. You don’t have to think those thoughts. If you’re acting in fearful, worried ways it’s because you’re thinking fearful, worried thoughts. Now it is time to refocus your view, look into a brighter future and start again anew.
  • T – Trust
  • At the end of it all, we must fully and completely trust on God. No man can amount to more than what God ascribes to him.

    Happy New Month.
