As a kid then, many times we dey come village come do Christmas (you get?), but around 2011, this time we pack finally to come settle for village due to some crises then (in the northern part of Nigeria).

Me then, i dey new to the environment wey i come, new people, new food, new language, i been no fit speak the lang. then sef, i still dey speak my English, other children dey see me as celebrity 😂 you get!

Something happen, when them enroll us for the popular village school, me & my siblings with the person wey dey stay with my grandma that time, na us dey go school together, come back home together...

As time go on, i con dey make small small friends, wey later, them con dey teach me the way of the village, as an ajebo then, nothing i sabi, na to just dey speak big big English, so the thing dey vex them. 😅

Now the real gist. So one time after school, some of my friends wan go climb mango tree nearby the school.
People wey get the mango tree don' wan children of the school before i come say make nobody climb am. Me i no know.

Na so i say i must follow them make i experience how to climb mango tree,
Hmm... My siblings dem warn me make i no go, say dem go tell grandma, this & that..... I no hear o, that one no concern me, but i fear shaa, so i tell them make them wait for me, make i follow them go come, before i go join them make we go house.

As me & my friends reach the place, we begin climb carefully make nobody hear us, the tree big with different branches, na so small time, we begin dey swing am because e dey sweet us.
Me i go sitdown for one better branch up dey swing! swing!

Hmmmmmmm....... My people Before you hear jack Robinson....!
My friends con dey shout
"the owner dey come oo!"
"the owner dey come oo!!"

Ahh.... Everybody rush come down and ran. Me with one other guy, we no fit rush come down, (as per newbie na) 😂

Omo na from up the owner, with the palmtree stick wey she hold, begin dey lash us shege & banza comot from our body 😂
Oboi, worst part, my leg con stuck....😭

I dey receive beating, i still dey figure out how i go come down run, na so i jump come down, break leg small, stand up begin dey leap-run 😂 😭

Chaii..... I can never forget that day!
First time as an ajebo then to see shege.

But look at me now! 😂
Nigeria is showing me the real shege, if there another word under ajekpako (na im be my category) 😂

May God Revive our Economy, in where the hands of men has failed, AMEN!

My story don land.

So, e get one family wedding wey i attend, e never too tay like that.
Hmm.... Omo! The drama no be here o 😳😂
The bride people and the groom people (families) just dey carry talk go left and right, front and back concerning the dowry o.

The bride' price list wey the bride people bring almost around 900k+, that's almost 1 Mili.... Apart from the clothes and some farmfood stuff wey the groom people dem bring.
Groom people say, e too high say them no fit pay am, say them don try, after all them don bring,
"ahn! ahn! Nawa ooh,"
"for this economy?"

Dem say wetin dem fit pay na About 500k+ ( because dem go through the list, commot wetin dey fit commot, mark the ones wey dem fit buy, subsidized the ones wey too much)

Hmm....bride people no gree oo, "say lai lai" them must do 90% of the list.

As dey come dey reach end of argument na, one of the bride uncle con bring list for the uncles & anunties of the bride.... Ahh!
Price list con almost dey pass the main bride price list. 😳
na so matter tie wrapper o (as for me, i just dey laugh, i no know why 😂)

Them con dey argue oo so tey, time con dey pass for other stuffs wey dem need to do.

Bride con dey cry, groom man sef con frustrate dyeee.... Because, the thing con be like say na im be the main topic of the wedding.
We don almost forget say na wedding sef 😂

Me now con dey wonder 🤔 "naija weddings these days, na really wedding abi na business?"
abi everybody dey look for who dem wan buy Benz on top their head... 😂

But anyways dem later settle matter sha, the papa of the bride vex talk say make them pay wetin dem get, say them go settle am among themselves.
So that, make wedding fit continue...

Naija we too like drama....😂
