Anyway, until INEC is permitted to hold local government elections, ruling parties and governors in the respective ways will continue to have their ways. The victory is never real and will nearly always amount to nothing when state and federal elections are held.

This is just like the Rivers case where Fubara used APP to win the elections last Saturday, without the presence of PDP and APC. Although he could not have proceeded with APP is PDP did not approve it. In the state elections, he will face the major battle if he does not focus on governance more that’s his battles with Mr. Wike.

Rivers LGA election has given us a glimpse of how 2027 presidential election will be . He doesn’t need to think about it because his IG of police, service chiefs and INEC will deliver the country to him. I even fear he may seek third term.

What surprises me most is that no political heavyweight is talking or condemning what is happening in rivers state. It shows how low our democracy have sank.

Polling units close to the council areas are the ones that voting took place.
Other polling units, had the votes cast by proxy.
It's Produced and directed by APGA.
It's manual voting after all.
No other political parties are interested, except few YPP guys.
Until Federal INEC starts conducting Council Elections like they do with Governors /NASS and presidential.
