I think the military is just going about killing innocent civilians and tagging them IPOB but when they see a real challenge of people ready to slaughter them like the bandits, herdsmen, Bokoharam, Niger soldiers etc you see them removing their camps and running away.

I'm surprised that the Lagos State Government is just waking up to this because this place has always been like this many many years back. I hope after the removal they will ensure that they don't creep back in again as lack of enforcement is one of the cause of such. The agberos and baba alayes that gave them those spaces in exchange for rental payment are the root cause and If the Government fail to tackle it, they will return there again.

From my understanding of this news, this construction is alleged to be awarded to Hi-Tech, a company owned by the notorious Lebanese "Chaugoury Brothers" who helped the late Sanni Abacha to laundered Nigerian money. Meanwhile, this same Chaugoury is a long time political ally of Bola Tinubu. So the well discerning Nigerian can see the connection. As for Dave Umahi, he will only end up being the fall guy.
