A BUSINESSMAN, who has been blessed with 16 children from his four wives, says he wants to have 24 more kids to ensure that he reaches his target of having 40 children.
The 68-year-old, Samuel Chikonzo, is a businessman at in Mhondoro-Mubaiwa.
He says polygamy is in his family’s bloodline.
His youngest wife is 28 and she says she is happy and very much in love.
He has no concerns about his age because he believes he still has, at least, 37 more years to live.
His claims, on average, members of his family live up to around 105 years.
He believes he will still be alive by the time the year 2060 comes along.
He says some of his siblings are now aged between 90 and 105 years. Chikonzo’s family threw him a party to celebrate his 68th birthday recently.
He spoke to our sister newspaper, Kwayedza, during the birthday celebrations.
The businessman stays with all his four wives and feels he has been blessed to have such a big and beautiful family.
“Kuchembera idambe. Kuchembera uku ka, ndambonzwa umwe mwana wangu akanditi mhoro mudhara, ndikati zvabva papi, but anenge achiona age yandinayo.
“I have 16 children and I want to add more, ndikuda kuita 40 vana, by 2060 ndinenge ndiripo.
“If I am talking like this, I hear you gossiping about me, but magariro akaita Chegutu yese iyi ndini.
“The Government is protecting us, we have peace, umwe anobva nekuku achifamba husiku asi anomuka asina mavanga,” said Chikonzo.
He thanked his peaceful neighbours and family members.
“I want to thank my family and their children for coming here. My stomach is small today nekuti handina kumwa masese.
“I am not able to explain about my life but what I like is to stay with my neighbours peacefully, without any problems.
“I love my family and, by 2060, I will be still alive.
“My own brothers are around 105, 90 something years while my sisters are around 104 years.
“Ranga ringori barika, ndiri mambo mumusha, saka ndezvedzinza.
“Zvebarika izvi tinazvo murudzi rwedu. Inini pachezvangu ndine nhaka.”
His youngest wife Anna, who is 28, hailed her husband.
“We stay peacefully with my husband. Staying with our family..
