This should be a good thing..
But I thought the mannequin himself (buhari) "kitted" the Nigerian military to be the best in the region? Audio phantom fight against terrorism, is what Nigeria has been engaged in. Meanwhile, opportunistic, "highly motivated" (by money of course!) Military brass and their goons, siphon funds meant for logistics, welfare and tactical equipment to splurge on lavish mansions, fine food, wines and such. Business is booming.
The government of the day needs to as a matter of urgency, structurally overhaul the military establishments to forestall such senseless gaps between military strength on paper and military strength and capabilities on ground. If not, these people are willing to sell us out to Hamas terrorists next.

A big lie...
They did no such thing. The family paid the full ransom and the military escorted them to retrieve the kidnapped girls, after the kidnappers called them (family) and left.
Meanwhile, the police went to town, to claim a rescue they could not carry out in the next ten years. A shame.

A post colonial outfit, dressed in colonial attitudes.
In other words, they are trained to oppress the people who feed and clothe them.
In actuality, all military and paramilitary branches in Nigeria, are not truly reformed. they are yet to discard the garbs foisted on them by their former masters. This attitude is also an enabler of the "divide and conquer" policies being practiced by the current occupants of the house of power.
Attitudes, not much different from those of the infamous imperial Japanese army unit 731.
