Have you also had to wonder why Nigeria do not experience winter like most European, American and Asian countries?
If you have, then I guess we are on the same pedestal. However, we do have quite similar climate condition... When it's winter in those countries then we have Harmattan season in Nigeria. The difference is that while winter is cold, wet freezing air that causes snow, harmattan on the other hand is a dry cold North East trade wind that sweeps across some African countries, and the similarities here is that both climates are quite extremely cold that one has to cover up with thick clothes.
Same way the harsh winter season tell on foreigners who are not used to it, the harmattan season equally does same to the "whites" around Nigeria.
