Soyinka's justification is because of how he was bullied on social media by the "Obidients." If that's the case, then Soyinka’s opinion is borne out of emotional sentiments and not on a valid or justifiable ground of Obi really being incompetent.

It looks like some nations and organisations have lost their sense of reason. In as much as I would like Israel to abide to a reasonable extent by the laws of war, I still don't support any call for ceasefire until Hamas is dismantled and crushed to avoid further existential threat to the nation of Isreal. Israel is within its legitimate right to self defence.

Oh is one year, I thought is five years because in the space of one year we experienced the most difficult year of our life. Subsidy removal, skyrocket price of food items in the markets, naira devaluation, kidnapping by bandits and increase in taxation.

Is like we are in famine because the food we eat is not food again. The price of Garri and rice are high but the quality of the Garri and rice is not worth paying for. You will see Garri with a very bad odour and the face is not pleasant at all but the price is not pocket friendly at all.

Now we eat what we see not the quality and taste we need. Because of high cost of things in the market some people sells poison. Some will store Garri when they see that the food is not good again for consumption that is when they will start selling the food items at a very high price.

    Nigeria's inflation rate is now at 33.69% - April 2024. The highest in 28yrs (since Mar 1996). Since the turn of the new year, the naira, which was floated almost a year ago has witnessed a dramatic depreciation, leaving a devastating mark on organised businesses across the board.

    The prices of staple foods like beans and maize have increased by 300 to 400 per cent over the past year following the removal of the fuel subsidy and the depreciation of the naira. Inflation is outpacing the ability of families to cope, making essential food items unaffordable.
