It's not entirely on nature, floods can be controlled to an extent, build drainage systems, well channelled and we won't hear of floods so often.

Giving to the global warming an effect of climate change, this is just the beginning of pain; I'm not sounding insensitive. My heart of course goes out to those who incured loss or losses as a result of the chaos, however this is a natural disaster and more rain will come not only this year but in coming years. Research shows that Lagos may be submerged by 2050 if nothing is done to limit climate change, not only Lagos but many coastal areas.

Lagos state with flood cases every year. Look at the level of damage the flood has caused to live and properties. Lagos government should find a lasting solution to this flooding matter

Addressing sand mining and coastal erosion uncontrolled sand mining along Lagos coastlines is damaging protective coastal ecosystems and exacerbating flood risks. Reducing sand mining and restoring mangroves and wetlands can help mitigate flooding.

People are quoting OBJ wrong, nothing is amiss if he actually discussed that with South Eastern Governors; however what he's saying is that it wasn't part of the discourse upon which he and persons like Emeka Anyoku were invited. Probably that was discussed after he left.
