I'm happy with Tinubu's reelection, this is done by the heads of state to give him more time to see if he can persuade the pull-out countries to reconsider rejoining the bloc. I wish BAT well as he stir the affairs of the blody within the next 12 months.

Personally I don't think this should be in form of loan because students that takes loans, how do you expect them to pay back, even if they start up businesses with it, they won't get back that money except during a long period of time

I doubt Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger will return to the ECOWAS. ECOWAS was too hasty to impose sanctions on them without looking at the institutional problems in each of it members states. Tinubu even threatened war on Niger.
With the emergence of the Sahel Alliance another regional bloc that will actively compete with the ECOWAS, it might be difficult to secure their return. I hope the bloc doesn't loose more member states to the Sahel Alliance.

Student Loan is a fraud, it shows how wicked the government is. The government should give students grants and not loans. About 90b naira was pumped into 2024 Hajj a religious exercise that has no economic benefit to the nation and we can't give our students grant to pursue education which has a positive impact in the economy. We need to do better, we shouldn't tie the young ones in bandage of debt.
