Well, what I feel is that CBN put 31st as the initial deadline to scare Nigerians and make them serious about doing away with the old notes so that the new notes will circulate

Ideally, there wouldn’t have been any need for the extension of the deadline of the old currency beyond January 31, if not for the lackadaisical attitude of the CBN in the implementation of the change, since October 2022.
