Obasanjo's submission on the issue of senate fixing their salaries is correct. It's certainly immoral to fix your salary. Although, himself was a president for eight years and didn't make an attempt in the right direction to stop it. In the interest of the country there should be an independent body responsible for fixing the allowances and salaries of this legislators. And their salaries and allowances should be in line with the national minimum wage, they should not be entitled to pensions.

Why are they shocked. It's just the truth. The salaries senate members are collecting is way too much for a country that have so much impoverished citizens. Wealth of this country revolves around very few and I'm afraid to say that our senates are among the few.

If Dangote refinery is brought to the mud because of their selfish interests. God will not forget our leaders. They don't want any indigenous refinery to function so that they will have what to pocket.
