The act or power of anticipating that which will or may come to be is DREAM. A cherished ambition or ideal is your dream. It’s good to dream, when you dream like Joseph, it’s very important to guide and work towards it.

It is your dream that will be a guide to your future, the realization of your goal is fulfilment of your dream. “When you saw yourself attending to patients in the hospital and at the end your goal is achieved, it means your dream comes true.

It is very important to for us to have a good plan if truly we want our dream to come to pass.

What are your plans to making your dream come to pass? Is it pressing the button of your phones every minute or watching that rated films that you ought not to watch? Is it visiting friends or you have this talent of sleeping? It’s time to wake up to reality and work hard on our studies to make our dream come true.

Joseph denied himself of so many things before its dream became a reality. Remember the only person that can help you after you helped yourself is God.

Wisdom of God is the unfolding of the way out and the way up. Wisdom is the discovering the way out of every situation. At this time, you need the wisdom of God to see you through. Many things are happening fast around, the only thing we need is God′s wisdom.

Hello Teens!
Many of our teenagers today aspire to be “SUPERSTARS”, we want to be famous. Ask a teenage boy what is his aspiration in life, he will tell you I want to be an artist like whiz kid or lil Wayne, a dancer or to appear on a reality show and be the winner. While a teenage girl will tell you that she wants to be a dancer, make-up artist, beauty pageant e.t.c.

This is what is happening in our world today, “every youth wants to feel among”. Aiming at fame for ourselves and the world, showcasing our talent to the world, using our potentials to exalt the world.

We, as teenagers for God, have we ever considered ourselves not to be like them, we can’t use our God given talent like them. We can’t dance, walk or do things like them; rather we use our fame for the edification of God’s name and expanding His kingdom by using what we have to draw our friends to Christ.

Let’s invest in Jesus project fame, let’s bring our friends inside the fold of God and let us use our fame for Christ. Till I come your way next month, remain in His vineyard.

One of the greatest and most beautiful gifts you can give to your child is friendship with Jesus Christ.

The easiest way to do this is to introduce them to Christ by:

Talking about Jesus often. You need to be able to explain who Jesus is, what He has done for you.

Lovingly and patiently persuading them to love Jesus Christ. Bear this in mind; their relationship with Jesus Christ can only be worked out by the power of Holy Ghost.

Live out the Christ like life; more than just talking to them about Jesus Christ, live the Christ like life before them.

Take them to church. Don’t leave your children behind when you go to church. Take them with you and allow them to stay in their Sunday school classes where they can be taught the word of God at their level.

Pray for them. Praying for your children is like ploughing the soil before planting the seed.

Making friends for Jesus is a practical exercise. It is the act of sharing the good news of salvation with other people with the intent to get them saved. The Lord commanded His friend to get busy with this task while expecting His return (Mark 16:15). This assignment is not limited to Adults. Children who are true friends of Jesus can be part of the team; they can help make more friends for Jesus.

To get them involved:

Take them along with you when you are out to preach the gospel.

Encourage them to pray for their siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends that are yet to be friends with Jesus. (I Timothy 2:1)

Teach and encourage them to study the Scripture. (2 Timothy 2:15)

Give them opportunity to also preach to children of their age group while on the field.

Encourage them to persevere even when it appears there is no result yet.

Teach them to be bold and gentle.

Teach them Christian love and hospitality.

Make them understand that there are present and eternal rewards for those who make friends with Jesus.

Faith in God is essential in our walk with Him. In fact, it is the basis of our relationship with God because without faith in Christ’s finished work of redemption, no one can be saved. Even after our salvation experience, we cannot please God without faith.

Faith is the key that grants us access to the divine treasury in times of trouble. With faith, Christian can go through life’s challenges triumphantly. Faith is absolute trust and total dependence on God in all aspects and situation of life.
Therefore, as Christian Parents, it is your responsibility and duty to build your children’s faith in God. This is the way to build their confidence in God and prepare them to face life’s challenges with courage.

As Parents, you need to help your children have a personal relationship with God. Make them understand that we are saved by grace through faith. (Eph. 2:8). Let them know that the same faith in God by which they were saved is what they need to overcome any challenges in their lives.

Teach them to pray always, depending totally on God’s promises at all times instead of seeking help from ungodly sources or resorting to self help. Tell them about bible characters who trusted God in difficult situations and how He delivered them. Show them how to study and listen to the word of God and teach them to obey it because it is the source of faith.

Above all, reinforce your teaching with your exemplary life. Let your children see that you put your trust in God. Practically demonstrate total dependence on God when you are faced with unpleasant circumstances. This will enable them to demonstrate unwavering faith in God and receive divine help in all circumstances.

The home is your Children first classroom and you are their first teacher. Although, they may not utter any meaningful word yet, their little eyes see quite a lot. Be sure they are storing in their brains the things they see you do. Set good examples for them because they carefully watch and unconsciously mimic you. They will replicate your behavior and way of life.

An undeniable fact is that your child will not always remain a child. As they grows older, your influence becomes more significant. They match your precepts with your practices, to see if they agree. If they do, they follow with ease, but if they conflicts, they get confused and rebel against you and your ideas. Children spot hypocrisy and double standard more quickly than your mind can fathom. Therefore, to have a positive influence on your child, define your values, moral and human values, and follow through on them faithfully.

It is no news that some children nurse the desire to be like their Parents when they grow older, and the reason for that is not farfetched. Their Parents′ lives are worthy of emulation. They see in those Parents who they want to become in future. Are you what your child wants to become? What kind of model are you to your child.

Remember, they are watching whatever you do in their presence, good or evil, right or wrong.
Live right if you want them to grow upright.

As Parents, you should help your child to develop his/her God′s given gifts right from cradle, so that he/she can live his/her full and true potential in life.

The guidelines below will assist you;

Spend time with your child: you’ll need to come down to his/her level, spend time with him/her and show interest in what he/she is interested in.

Appreciate your child′s ability: Be on the lookout for things to praise in him/her for.

Encourage a wide range of interest: by all means, encourage your child to develop interest in different aspect, also, encourage his/her creativity by doing creative activities with him/her and by sharing ideas.

Never ridicule your child: you should never make fun of him/her just because he/she is different to others, either in his/her behavior or interest.

Acknowledge your child′s ability: This will help your child to grow in confidence and be more prepared to tackle other things that he/she might not be good at.

Encourage your child to set target for himself: This will help him to develop an “aim higher” attitude to life.

Make learning fun.

When God created mothers, He made two loving arms to cradle and shelter us from world harm.

When God created mothers, He made two pairs of hands to care for us and guide us through our choices and divine plans.

*When God created mothers, He made the warmest heart to understand and give our lives happy and loving start.

Why God created mothers is not mystery...
He meant to share His love with us, and He did perfectly.

Sadly, Mothers are fast losing their roles, values and virtues in our modern world. In the rat race for success and position, they now pursue their personal goals to the detriments of their children. Instead of the usual maternal influence, the TV and the Computer now babysit children.

Parents, don’t neglect these God’s gifts, let them feel safe and fulfilled in life. Don’t neglect your duties and responsibilities towards them.

Remember, your children need your presence more than your present.

Successful parenting attracts great dividends: nothing on earth gives greater delight than the sight of balanced and properly trained child living out God’s purpose for his life. Child training is an investment that pays far greater dividends than any other investment and it is the most fulfilling job which God himself rewards. Great men and women of worth in all ages have attributed their success in life to good parenting. If we spend quality time and resources to train our children now, they will ever live to appreciate us, just like the children in Proverb 31 did.

We can be rest assured that anywhere our children find themselves they will stand for God and make us proud as Parents. If we raise our children in God’s way, they will become assets to the family, to the church and to the nation.

Finally, they will make it to heaven if they continue in the Godly way we have shown them. For Parents who felt they have missed it in this area, it is not too late to start again. God is ever ready to help you. God’s instruction to us is to train our children in the way of the Lord so that when they are old, they will not depart from it. May God help us not to fail in this task and help us to escape the consequences of ineffective parenting in our old age in Jesus name.

I want to invite you to the world of the best and to remind you that there is a seed of greatness laid inside of you. You must rise and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you (Is. 60:1). Let’s take a look at the life of some children in the bible, and see how they excelled as the best amongst their peers.

The bible records in I Sam. 17:14. David was the youngest of his father Jesse. We remember the story of how David defeated Goliath the giant Philistine who defies the army of Israel. David was courageous and he confronted the giant. Those who know their God will be strong and do exploit.

So, Children, in this New Year, let′s strive to be the best among our peers.
