JESUS PROJECT FAME

JESUS PROJECT FAME
Hello Teens!
Many of our teenagers today aspire to be “SUPERSTARS”, we want to be famous. Ask a teenage boy what is his aspiration in life, he will tell you I want to be an artist like whiz kid or lil Wayne, a dancer or to appear on a reality show and be the winner. While a teenage girl will tell you that she wants to be a dancer, make-up artist, beauty pageant e.t.c.

This is what is happening in our world today, “every youth wants to feel among”. Aiming at fame for ourselves and the world, showcasing our talent to the world, using our potentials to exalt the world.

We, as teenagers for God, have we ever considered ourselves not to be like them, we can’t use our God given talent like them. We can’t dance, walk or do things like them; rather we use our fame for the edification of God’s name and expanding His kingdom by using what we have to draw our friends to Christ.

Let’s invest in Jesus project fame, let’s bring our friends inside the fold of God and let us use our fame for Christ. Till I come your way next month, remain in His vineyard.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE EYES

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE EYES
Diet and regular upkeep are two important factors in taking care of your eyes. Eye exercises can restore your eye sight.
Your eyes are the window to the world so its important that you take care of them.

STEP TO TAKE CARE OF OUR EYES
  • Eat lots of fruit
  • Avoid wearing contact lenses for more than 19hrs
  • Wear protective sunglasses
  • Try not to spend so much time looking at your computer screen.
  • Wear goggles when appropriate
  • Do not read in dim light
  • Do not look at a bright light directly
  • Don’t just use eye drops, be sure that they are right for you. While eye drops can make your eyes feel better, their medical benefits have not been entirely proven.

    Season of Wonders (Ps 71:7-8)

    Season of Wonders (Ps 71:7-8)
7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day

There is a wonderful story once told in the Bible of one friend of Jesus. He had fallen ill just at the time when Jesus was out of town and had died as a result. He was too close to Jesus to die young; his sisters had thought. Martha and Mary sent an urgent message to Jesus: “Your friend took ill ; so please come quickly and make him whole again”. As if unmoved by the sickness of his friend who is about to die, Jesus did not arrive until four whole days after the death of Lazarus. (John 11:38-44)

I do not know what seems to be dying right now in your life and it is looking like it would not live again; I want to assure you today dear reader; Jesus is coming for it.
So, Jesus got back to Bethany, Lazarus was stone dead. He was cold. He had already gathered substantial rot. The stench from his tomb was more than repelling. When Martha saw Jesus, they rued their loss “Jesus, why did you come so late. If only you had been here just a few hours after he died he would surely have lived again. But you are now four days too late. Your friend is there, buried in the tomb with the dead”. Here’s one of the mysteries of the World’s greatest wonder- Jesus. Except it becomes necessary he does not reveal himself. I remember that he went to the wedding in Cana of Galilee entirely as a guest and would never have revealed himself were it not for his mother who begged vigorously for him to cover the shame of the celebrants. (John 2:1-12)
At the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus lifted his hands and said
“Father, I thank you that you have heard me. And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people who stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth” John 11:41-43”

This is one of the biggest wonders of all time- that a man that was confirmed dead and who was getting rotten already- can come alive again and live a whole life. Wonder is what happens when the laws of nature and life are suspended. I want to let you know dear friend; whatever the circumstances of your life may be: Jesus never ever comes late; even on the day when he came four days after his friend had been buried he still was not late. Can you imagine that? How exactly did that come about?- Jesus controls time and seasons and so it is impossible to define his actions and inactions in the limit of time. If you would recall; Moses was already eighty years old almost heading for the grave when he unleashed his destiny. Abraham was a hundred years old when God commissioned him a father to generations. All of the time, God defines times. Time never defines him. That is another wonder of his existence.

As you get started this month, I want you to be ready and desirous of the unfathomable wonders in the name of Jesus. I assure you dear reader that this month of February, you will see the wonders of God and it will make a difference in your life for good.

    Happy new month.

The King is Coming Back (Acts 1: 8-11)

The King is Coming Back (Acts 1: 8-11)
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
    10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Men and brethren, my question to you as you read this is “Are you prepared for His coming?”
Many have said he is not coming again. Many have said he probably didn’t come any time before. Many are now derisively discounting the second coming of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ spewing doubts to the hearts of men. But let me assure you without a doubt- Jesus is coming back! The King is coming soon.
See, dear reader, the heaven and the earth may pass away, but a single jot in the written words of our Lord will not pass away.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. (Matt 24: 40-42)

At the end of it all dear friend, there is here and there is a here-after. There is life and there is an after-life. After all of the race, the hustle, the bustle and the marathons, the winnings and the losses, after the billions and houses and cars, there will be an end. After it all, there will be death or the coming of Jesus- whichever comes first. Are you prepared to meet your Lord? Is He even your Lord at all? Or will He be excited to meet with you?

Life is given as a ransome for the purchase of the after-life. The moment is given as a seed for the planting and harvest of the here-after. Today is a down-payment for the purchase of the future. How are you using your own down payment?

As Paul says in his letter to the Church in Corinth:
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Cor 15;51-52)

It shall be a momentous day. As the trumpet goes off, the dead in Christ shall first be raised. They will be changed from their earthly corruptible cloak and put off the flesh which is a product of the dust. They will then be clothed in an image that the Bible describes as incorruptible.
The Bible speaking of this transfiguration says  “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” ( 1 John 3:2)
In Mark Chapter 9; Peter James and John were taken up the mountain to a far seclusion for a glimpse of that glory. In a moment the three saw Elias and Moses even as the glory descended on Jesus. Peter exclaimed- Let us make tents in this place- one for Elias, one for you and one for Moses so we can continue to reside in this glory. How amazing! Even without a home Peter was ready to stay in that glory. Peter touched the glory of the heavenly realms and he did not desire to return to the earthly anymore. Such is the indescribable glory of what is to come.

As I close let me encourage you dear reader: do not miss heaven for anything- nothing at all! Nothing is worth missing heaven for. The end shall come. All men will go the way of all mortals. At the other side of eternity we shall give account of our lives. Do not be caught off guards. Do not appear before your maker to begin to explain because at that time, it would be too late.

As you get started in 2023, add one more possibility to your preparations. Add the possibility of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Say it to yourself- if he appears today shall he meet me in glory?

Happy new year to every reader of this bulletin and I wish you a most prosperous 2023 ahead.

Behold the New Year 2023 (Ex.12:2)

Behold the New Year 2023 (Ex.12:2)
As we enter into the new year, our attitude is very critical... And gratitude is therefore a required attitude that would be a requirement in this season to take us into his divine plan for us in this new year.

Our reaction in any given situation in the new year can determine the result of whatever we go through - positive or negative - the children of Israel always are easy to point out as our reference and indeed we can take a cue from their experience.

Spending 40 years on a journey that should have taken just 11days - Deut 1:2, just because of a wrong/bad attitude! Deut 1:34.This could be what some of us are going through right now in the circumstances we face or go through. Let′s reflect on the past year(s) and see where we need to make adjustments and repent right away.

We can start by looking inward - what′s our attitude while we wait on God for that which we are waiting on Him for (that which we have asked of Him and look to Him for in the past year(s).
Wrong attitude can make our journey longer - Abraham and Sarah tried to help God and they got a Prince of War (Ishmael) instead of Laughter (Isaac) - which they eventually got.

Furthermore, rather than just “putting“ our trust in God with the right attitude, we tend to do otherwise trusting in the arm of flesh which fails.

Let our prayer always be - Lord, may our trust be in you and in you only and our attitude shall always be right at all times so as not to ever miss you and your will; so as to get it right always in Jesus′ name.

But let all rejoice who put their trust in you; Let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them; Let those also who love your name be joyful in you.Psalms 5:11

In the Lord I put my trust...Psalms 11:1
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.Psalms 20:7

But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men,John 2:24 (you can′t afford to put your trust in man! Rather put your trust in God.

And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. Deut 8:2

Jesus Christ must be the focus of our lives in this new year. As long as you are a Christian and you are for him.- Your life is no longer yours (You are now a new creation
( 2 Cor 5:17)...and we owe ALL to Him,

For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’Acts 17:28

So “do life with God“ for life outside God is meaningless and pointless. Going nowhere!

Life is a journey and we must arrive at our destination with God. Our joy is to make it with Him. The Holy Spirit is to be our Guide day by day to take us to our destiny Psalm 32:8 is therefore very apt ... The Holy Spirit being our eyes to guide us as we journey on in this new year and generally in life ..
Remember, we′ve never pass this new year before!

Now the just shall live by faith; ....Heb 10:38a
Let′s joyfully “go on“ & let′s enjoy our “trip“ in Year 2023. As we embark on this journey with great expectation. God is with us! Yes, our Emmanuel!... indeed, He′s gone ahead of us! Halleluyah and all crooked paths have been made straight for us.
    Is 42:16 Amen!
    Happy New Year.

    INTRODUCING YOUR CHILDREN TO JESUS

    INTRODUCING YOUR CHILDREN TO JESUS
One of the greatest and most beautiful gifts you can give to your child is friendship with Jesus Christ.

The easiest way to do this is to introduce them to Christ by:
  • Talking about Jesus often. You need to be able to explain who Jesus is, what He has done for you.
  • Lovingly and patiently persuading them to love Jesus Christ. Bear this in mind; their relationship with Jesus Christ can only be worked out by the power of Holy Ghost.
  • Live out the Christ like life; more than just talking to them about Jesus Christ, live the Christ like life before them.
  • Take them to church. Don’t leave your children behind when you go to church. Take them with you and allow them to stay in their Sunday school classes where they can be taught the word of God at their level.
  • Pray for them. Praying for your children is like ploughing the soil before planting the seed.

    DOUBLE PORTION

    DOUBLE PORTION
    (2 Kings 2: 8-9)
8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.
9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

There are men who struggle in life for everything. They struggle to be born, they struggle to live, they struggle to go to school. They even pay through their noses in schools. They fight to get a job and wait several years before they find a mate. Nothing is ever easy for them. Look around, you will find such men. Whatever they have, resulted from years of toil. May be you are even one such person whose trademark is struggle. It is my sincere prayer that the God of Heaven will set you free in Jesus’ name. God never ordained a life of struggle for you. It is not God’s wish that you fail twice before you earn a degree. It is never His plan that you learn by brutal life-threatening business failures. God’s agenda for your life is success after success. Please do not misunderstand me, God ordained hard work and He expects it of us but undignified, unproductive and tortuous work is never a part of His plans.

What exactly is the difference between impossibility and struggle on one hand and ease and effortless success on the other hand?- grace and the God of Grace.
In the prophetic ministry of Elijah there was struggle. As powerful as he was, Jezebel almost cut short his ministry. It took the grace of God to sustain him till the end. It was thus a great thing that Elijah left with Elisha double portion of the anointing he carried. Dear Reader, this is the strategic value of a mentor. Mentors are given by God to empower us to do more than what they did. That was what the mentorship of Elijah did for Elisha. It is my belief today that God is sending men and women your way to empower you for greatness. It is the season of greater glory and increase on all sides.

The Bible says “Then Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year a hundred fold: and the Lord blessed him” Can you just think for a moment about that? Can you just imagine putting a thousand naira in the bank and getting hundred thousand in interest by year? That was what happened to Isaac. In a land of hardship where everyone was crying famine, God rewarded his labour hundred fold. You might be one such person who is thinking “How will dreams come true in this year of woes” I have a word for you: the God that did it for Isaac will yet do it again.

Dear Brethren, as 2022 goes to an end it is time to enforce God’s promise of double portion in our lives. We need this double portion of anointing to terminate every form of struggle, stagnation and limitation on our path of divine destiny. But in doing so, there are at least three things you must take seriously.

One, you MUST never take NO for an answer. Whether it is from destiny-helpers or the devil, never take a “No”. You must know that great doors seldom open at the first knock. Elisha had to cross Jordan before he got the double portion anointing.

Two, you must be a man of prayers. I have not yet seen a greater force than the force of prayers. Christians seem to have forgotten that time changes nothing. Those who constantly record victories have mastered the use of prayers for the dismantling of spiritual strongholds. Be not ignorant, there will always be opposition to your progress.

Lastly, Faith! In this kingdom we operate entirely by faith. The Bible says: The just shall live by faith (Heb 10:38). Faith being the evidence of things hoped for; a believer needs to activate faith to see the real manifestation of seeming impossibilities.

As we engage the combined power of faith and prayers this month, nothing shall be impossible for us in Jesus name.
    Happy New Month.

TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN TO MAKE FRIENDS FOR JESUS

TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN TO MAKE FRIENDS FOR JESUS
Making friends for Jesus is a practical exercise. It is the act of sharing the good news of salvation with other people with the intent to get them saved. The Lord commanded His friend to get busy with this task while expecting His return (Mark 16:15). This assignment is not limited to Adults. Children who are true friends of Jesus can be part of the team; they can help make more friends for Jesus.

    To get them involved:
  • Take them along with you when you are out to preach the gospel.
  • Encourage them to pray for their siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends that are yet to be friends with Jesus. (I Timothy 2:1)
  • Teach and encourage them to study the Scripture. (2 Timothy 2:15)
  • Give them opportunity to also preach to children of their age group while on the field.
  • Encourage them to persevere even when it appears there is no result yet.
  • Teach them to be bold and gentle.
  • Teach them Christian love and hospitality.
  • Make them understand that there are present and eternal rewards for those who make friends with Jesus.

    A New Beginning

    A New Beginning
    (Ex 12:1-2)
1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
The value of a promise is a function of the speaker of the promise. In this world, there are men and there are men. When some men talk you can go to sleep because they will honor the word even if it is at the cost of their lives. But when some other men pronounce a promise they carry no weight at all. They can renege on a promise just because it rained heavily or it was a sunny day. Our God is not like that. Numbers 23:19 says “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

There are three things that make the word of our God of particular consequence.

First is the Ability of our God.
No one can give what he does not have. Recall the story of the exorcists who; trying to mirror the spiritual exploits of Paul in casting out demons said in Acts 19 to evil spirits “...We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.” Interestingly, the Bible calls them “Vagabond Jews”. By definition, vagabond means “impostor”, not born of the presumed father. In truth, that was who they were. They were claiming the brotherhood of the Kingdom when in fact they had no identity in Heaven. Our God is not like that. By proofs again and again; by proof documented in medieval times and now, our God has proven His capacity to do what men cannot do.
A few months ago, in the ancient city of Akure, working through the hands of a young believer our God raised a popular middle aged man who was reportedly lame from birth. The capacity of our God has not reduced with time. Just as he did of old, He is still doing today.

    Secondly, the Integrity of God
It was Alan Kooi Simpson a United States Republican Senator representing Wyoming who served from 1979 to 1997 that said “If you have integrity nothing else matters. When you do not have integrity nothing else matters”. The integrity of God is unquestionable. Even the integrity of those who follow in his steps is solid.

And lastly, the love of God
God speaking through the mouth of Prophet Isaiah in Isa 49:15 says “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”
When I think about the love of God, it makes me shiver. God sent His only begotten son to the world to die for mankind in hope that mankind would take advantage of Calvary. And I ask, what if all men reject his offer? What if no one repents? His only begotten son would have died in vain. God took a pre-emptive risk. That’s a depth of love no one can explain.

These three reasons above makes it impossible for God to fail whenever he says a thing. Paul speaking to the Roman Church says in Rom 8:32 “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Dear friend, if there was anyone who knew God at close range Paul did.

As this new month unfolds I challenge you therefore to hold on strongly to what you have heard Him say to you. He is not a son of man. He cannot lie. He has said it emphatically- even though it is November God is making it your own January, the beginning of a new year. The implication of that just in case you do not know is restoration of time in all of its dimensions. Men say that time is the only resource in the world that once lost can never be regained- not with God.
Jesus came to the tomb of Lazarus three days late, in spite of that defining lateness, when he got there, he was still right on time. He did not just reverse the death of Lazarus, he restored time unto him (John 11:1-45)

It is my prayer for you today dear reader that God will fulfil the promise of Exodus 12:1-2 in your life. November shall be as January to you and you shall pursue and recover all.
    Happy new month.
