JESUS PROJECT FAME

JESUS PROJECT FAME
Hello Teens!
Many of our teenagers today aspire to be “SUPERSTARS”, we want to be famous. Ask a teenage boy what is his aspiration in life, he will tell you I want to be an artist like whiz kid or lil Wayne, a dancer or to appear on a reality show and be the winner. While a teenage girl will tell you that she wants to be a dancer, make-up artist, beauty pageant e.t.c.

This is what is happening in our world today, “every youth wants to feel among”. Aiming at fame for ourselves and the world, showcasing our talent to the world, using our potentials to exalt the world.

We, as teenagers for God, have we ever considered ourselves not to be like them, we can’t use our God given talent like them. We can’t dance, walk or do things like them; rather we use our fame for the edification of God’s name and expanding His kingdom by using what we have to draw our friends to Christ.

Let’s invest in Jesus project fame, let’s bring our friends inside the fold of God and let us use our fame for Christ. Till I come your way next month, remain in His vineyard.

    Season of Wonders (Ps 71:7-8)

    Season of Wonders (Ps 71:7-8)
7 I am as a wonder unto many; but thou art my strong refuge.
8 Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day

There is a wonderful story once told in the Bible of one friend of Jesus. He had fallen ill just at the time when Jesus was out of town and had died as a result. He was too close to Jesus to die young; his sisters had thought. Martha and Mary sent an urgent message to Jesus: “Your friend took ill ; so please come quickly and make him whole again”. As if unmoved by the sickness of his friend who is about to die, Jesus did not arrive until four whole days after the death of Lazarus. (John 11:38-44)

I do not know what seems to be dying right now in your life and it is looking like it would not live again; I want to assure you today dear reader; Jesus is coming for it.
So, Jesus got back to Bethany, Lazarus was stone dead. He was cold. He had already gathered substantial rot. The stench from his tomb was more than repelling. When Martha saw Jesus, they rued their loss “Jesus, why did you come so late. If only you had been here just a few hours after he died he would surely have lived again. But you are now four days too late. Your friend is there, buried in the tomb with the dead”. Here’s one of the mysteries of the World’s greatest wonder- Jesus. Except it becomes necessary he does not reveal himself. I remember that he went to the wedding in Cana of Galilee entirely as a guest and would never have revealed himself were it not for his mother who begged vigorously for him to cover the shame of the celebrants. (John 2:1-12)
At the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus lifted his hands and said
“Father, I thank you that you have heard me. And I knew that you hear me always: but because of the people who stand by I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth” John 11:41-43”

This is one of the biggest wonders of all time- that a man that was confirmed dead and who was getting rotten already- can come alive again and live a whole life. Wonder is what happens when the laws of nature and life are suspended. I want to let you know dear friend; whatever the circumstances of your life may be: Jesus never ever comes late; even on the day when he came four days after his friend had been buried he still was not late. Can you imagine that? How exactly did that come about?- Jesus controls time and seasons and so it is impossible to define his actions and inactions in the limit of time. If you would recall; Moses was already eighty years old almost heading for the grave when he unleashed his destiny. Abraham was a hundred years old when God commissioned him a father to generations. All of the time, God defines times. Time never defines him. That is another wonder of his existence.

As you get started this month, I want you to be ready and desirous of the unfathomable wonders in the name of Jesus. I assure you dear reader that this month of February, you will see the wonders of God and it will make a difference in your life for good.

    Happy new month.

The King is Coming Back (Acts 1: 8-11)

The King is Coming Back (Acts 1: 8-11)
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
    10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Men and brethren, my question to you as you read this is “Are you prepared for His coming?”
Many have said he is not coming again. Many have said he probably didn’t come any time before. Many are now derisively discounting the second coming of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ spewing doubts to the hearts of men. But let me assure you without a doubt- Jesus is coming back! The King is coming soon.
See, dear reader, the heaven and the earth may pass away, but a single jot in the written words of our Lord will not pass away.

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. (Matt 24: 40-42)

At the end of it all dear friend, there is here and there is a here-after. There is life and there is an after-life. After all of the race, the hustle, the bustle and the marathons, the winnings and the losses, after the billions and houses and cars, there will be an end. After it all, there will be death or the coming of Jesus- whichever comes first. Are you prepared to meet your Lord? Is He even your Lord at all? Or will He be excited to meet with you?

Life is given as a ransome for the purchase of the after-life. The moment is given as a seed for the planting and harvest of the here-after. Today is a down-payment for the purchase of the future. How are you using your own down payment?

As Paul says in his letter to the Church in Corinth:
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Cor 15;51-52)

It shall be a momentous day. As the trumpet goes off, the dead in Christ shall first be raised. They will be changed from their earthly corruptible cloak and put off the flesh which is a product of the dust. They will then be clothed in an image that the Bible describes as incorruptible.
The Bible speaking of this transfiguration says  “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” ( 1 John 3:2)
In Mark Chapter 9; Peter James and John were taken up the mountain to a far seclusion for a glimpse of that glory. In a moment the three saw Elias and Moses even as the glory descended on Jesus. Peter exclaimed- Let us make tents in this place- one for Elias, one for you and one for Moses so we can continue to reside in this glory. How amazing! Even without a home Peter was ready to stay in that glory. Peter touched the glory of the heavenly realms and he did not desire to return to the earthly anymore. Such is the indescribable glory of what is to come.

As I close let me encourage you dear reader: do not miss heaven for anything- nothing at all! Nothing is worth missing heaven for. The end shall come. All men will go the way of all mortals. At the other side of eternity we shall give account of our lives. Do not be caught off guards. Do not appear before your maker to begin to explain because at that time, it would be too late.

As you get started in 2023, add one more possibility to your preparations. Add the possibility of the second coming of Jesus Christ. Say it to yourself- if he appears today shall he meet me in glory?

Happy new year to every reader of this bulletin and I wish you a most prosperous 2023 ahead.

Behold the New Year 2023 (Ex.12:2)

Behold the New Year 2023 (Ex.12:2)
As we enter into the new year, our attitude is very critical... And gratitude is therefore a required attitude that would be a requirement in this season to take us into his divine plan for us in this new year.

Our reaction in any given situation in the new year can determine the result of whatever we go through - positive or negative - the children of Israel always are easy to point out as our reference and indeed we can take a cue from their experience.

Spending 40 years on a journey that should have taken just 11days - Deut 1:2, just because of a wrong/bad attitude! Deut 1:34.This could be what some of us are going through right now in the circumstances we face or go through. Let′s reflect on the past year(s) and see where we need to make adjustments and repent right away.

We can start by looking inward - what′s our attitude while we wait on God for that which we are waiting on Him for (that which we have asked of Him and look to Him for in the past year(s).
Wrong attitude can make our journey longer - Abraham and Sarah tried to help God and they got a Prince of War (Ishmael) instead of Laughter (Isaac) - which they eventually got.

Furthermore, rather than just “putting“ our trust in God with the right attitude, we tend to do otherwise trusting in the arm of flesh which fails.

Let our prayer always be - Lord, may our trust be in you and in you only and our attitude shall always be right at all times so as not to ever miss you and your will; so as to get it right always in Jesus′ name.

But let all rejoice who put their trust in you; Let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them; Let those also who love your name be joyful in you.Psalms 5:11

In the Lord I put my trust...Psalms 11:1
Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.Psalms 20:7

But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men,John 2:24 (you can′t afford to put your trust in man! Rather put your trust in God.

And you shall remember that the Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. Deut 8:2

Jesus Christ must be the focus of our lives in this new year. As long as you are a Christian and you are for him.- Your life is no longer yours (You are now a new creation
( 2 Cor 5:17)...and we owe ALL to Him,

For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’Acts 17:28

So “do life with God“ for life outside God is meaningless and pointless. Going nowhere!

Life is a journey and we must arrive at our destination with God. Our joy is to make it with Him. The Holy Spirit is to be our Guide day by day to take us to our destiny Psalm 32:8 is therefore very apt ... The Holy Spirit being our eyes to guide us as we journey on in this new year and generally in life ..
Remember, we′ve never pass this new year before!

Now the just shall live by faith; ....Heb 10:38a
Let′s joyfully “go on“ & let′s enjoy our “trip“ in Year 2023. As we embark on this journey with great expectation. God is with us! Yes, our Emmanuel!... indeed, He′s gone ahead of us! Halleluyah and all crooked paths have been made straight for us.
    Is 42:16 Amen!
    Happy New Year.

    INTRODUCING YOUR CHILDREN TO JESUS

    INTRODUCING YOUR CHILDREN TO JESUS
One of the greatest and most beautiful gifts you can give to your child is friendship with Jesus Christ.

The easiest way to do this is to introduce them to Christ by:
  • Talking about Jesus often. You need to be able to explain who Jesus is, what He has done for you.
  • Lovingly and patiently persuading them to love Jesus Christ. Bear this in mind; their relationship with Jesus Christ can only be worked out by the power of Holy Ghost.
  • Live out the Christ like life; more than just talking to them about Jesus Christ, live the Christ like life before them.
  • Take them to church. Don’t leave your children behind when you go to church. Take them with you and allow them to stay in their Sunday school classes where they can be taught the word of God at their level.
  • Pray for them. Praying for your children is like ploughing the soil before planting the seed.
