Food production in Nigeria is too low compared to the population. While trying to improve production in the long run, importation is what we need in the short run to ameliorate skyrocketed prices of commodities.

I think the best way to curb the current food inflation is to allow free tax importation, deregulation policies and provision of licences to companies for compensation to thrive.
