Good Tidings of Salvation (Part 2)
Like we analysed in Part one of this study; Salvation is being born again. The regeneration of the spirit of man. Salvation entails genuine repentance and forgiveness.
SALVATION is a race that must be concluded at the entrance to heaven. Our race to salvation will not be terminated in Jesus name (1 Corinthians 15:52).
At Salvation our body is not changed but the heart is transformed; It′s an encounter and regeneration of our spirit-man. We need to be regenerated to be transformed to a brand new creature because all old things has passed away.
The stages of salvation can be categorized into three:
a. THE PAST STAGE:
According to Romans 4:6 our personal encounter with God and experience will lead to the salvation from our sins.
When your sins are forgiven by this experience, there is a peace like a river that comes into your life. You will no longer be burdened by guilt.
Any Christian that has not had such experience has not been genuinely saved. All believers in Christ need that salvation experience. You are dead spiritually without salvation because, each time you enjoy sin, it takes you deeper and deeper into the grave since wages of sin is DEATH. You need to be translated from death of sin to life spiritually. At this stage, you will begin to enjoy the presence of God.
It is a stage when old things in one′s life will pass away, meaning that the power of sin dies in your life while the power of life everlasting takes over because you are in control and have dominated sin (Romans 6:17-23). The power of Jesus in your life breaks down the power of sin.
b. THE PRESENT STAGE:
This is when you have been totally saved, the spirit of God dwells in you richly (Romans 4:6-8 & Acts 2:33, 38&, 39).
When your sin are forgiven you will have the gift of the holy spirit, and the holy ghost takes over your life.
It is a stage of sanctification, you are being led by the spirit of God day by day. In everything you want to do, you take it to God first; not living a life of compromise because you are purified.
c. THE FUTURE STAGE
This is the ultimate stage where the wrath of God takes place on every Sinner (Romans 5:9) as a result of judgment either after rapture or after death. It is when the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience.
Christianity means being Christ like; and so, if your way don′t please God or reveal him, you are just among the number of those warming up for hell; meaning that you will not be opportuned to share in his divine glory (Ephesians 5:6,Romans 6:17-23) I pray by the end of our lives here on earth with God′s Grace, we will reign with him. (1 Corinthians 3:15-19)
All the works we have done here on earth will be tested and so we should be careful with what we do with our body because it is the temple of the living God ( 1 Thessalonians 5:8-9). We all need to live soberly a life worthy of Christ. Our main goal as Christians is to work towards being in the marriage supper of the lamb on the last day when we meet the Lord God in heaven(Rev. 19:9)
ASSURANCE OF SALVATION (John 25:1-3)
Every Christian should desire the coming of the Lord Jesus. The ultimate place to be is in heaven. Eternal life should be very important to every believer. Focus on heaven; focus on being among the Chosen of Christ Jesus by living a life worthy of him (1 John 3:24) If you really love God,we must keep his words, pleasing him by obeying every of his commandments (1john 5:2).
To love God is by loving what he loves because. GOD IS LOVE. May God continually give us the assurance of salvation in all we do in Jesus name.... Amen ????
