Have faith in humanity but don't lose your sense of self. Nobody will believe you as much as you need to believe yourself. Do life on your own terms.

When you place certain expectations on people,it drains you of the energy and mental strength you need to get things done. It's important to have an "I can do it' mindset because nobody owes you. When you accept this reality, you become more driven and achieve MORE. Be deliberate about your life. No room for a pity party. Get up and get whatever it is you want or need.

Having had a taste of not being gainfully employed or engaged in a business that brings in money,I can tell that it's not a pleasant situation. Expectations keep rising... the pressure from family, friends and even yourself keeps getting higher. Damn! May we find our own THING and gain mastery so we monetize it.

As a breastfeeding mom of a 3 months old baby, I can tell you for free that breastfeeding is HARDWORK. Yes. You read that correctly. Yet, it's a gift that keeps giving....it gives to the mother, the baby and the society.

A well nourished baby is that baby that is well equipped for the rigours of life... this baby is furnished with vital nutrients needed for optimum growth and development. He or She is a gift to the society at large because of the ripple effects of the thorough breastfeeding this baby enjoyed. Even the workforce benefits in the sense that the child grows into a well balanced adult furnished unto good works.

As it relates to the mother,it presents huge opportunities for bonding. Also, scientific research has proven that breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer in women.

Now, it behoves employers of labour and policy makers to formulate policies and create avenues that will make breastfeeding worthwhile. A woman should not be put in the difficult position of having to choose between breastfeeding her baby and working because both can coexist effectively. Therefore, let's all join our hands to ensure that Breastfeeding and Work actually Work!!
