With the spread of various diseases going rampant in the country, I'd like to talk about a key toilet hygiene factor a majority of us tend to neglect.
After using the toilet, do you turn on the tap and run water over your hands and said you've washed it?
My dear, you just made your hands wet, you've washed nothing.
I will list some key essentials to have on your toilet sink.
.Antiseptic/Anti-bacterial soap or handwash
.Anti-Bacterial Sanitizer
.Wet Wipes/Cotton wool.
Let me give you a quick scenario:
.You make use of the toilet, washing or wiping yourself afterwards, thereby depositing germs on your hands.
.You use above said hand to turn on the tap, also depositing germs from the hand on to it.
.You wash hands under running water, probably with an antibacterial soap, killing off the germs.
.Finally, you use your clean hands to turn off the tap, recollecting the germs you had deposited there previously.
Funny right?
But this happens to a majority of us daily.
So how can we avoid this?
Here's another scenario:
.After using the toilet, you turn on the tap.
.You wash your hands with Antibacterial soap/Handwash
.You pull out a wet wipe or a wad of cotton wool and spray Anti bacterial sanitizer on it.
.You use it to wipe the tap, from head to spout.
.You rinse your hands.
.You turn off the tap.
Now doesn't that sound better?
Remember, watching your health is a personal effort. If you don't do it, no one will do it for you.
Stay safe and stay healthy.
