Supposing you have to wait till you die or possibly for the judgment day, before you know if your name is in the Book of Life; how dangerous will that be? Will God be fair and loving to allow us to wander in uncertainties till after death? What if you assume your name is in the Book of Life and after death you hear "depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire?" Since there will be no second chance, how fearfully dangerous that will be? True, the Holy Spirit has access to the Book of Life and can always tell you whether your name is there or not. "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God". In case you are not sensitive to the Spirit or at times your spirit is cloudy and the voice of His witness is too low to perceive Him in your heart, are there other ways a person can be sure? This issue is very important because God Himself makes it clear. "And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book," Exodus 32:33. The text shows us other strong ways for you to be sure your name is in the Book of Life. Each should honestly and sincerely search out his heart to make sure his name is currently and continuously in that Book of Life.
