Just as it is in the ruling APC, former Governor Ayodele Fayose has emerged as the godfather of Ekiti PDP, the whose anointed candidate has emerged as the party’s candidate. He has achieved that for the second time.

Prior to the party primary of that era, Fayose had anointed his then deputy, Professor Kolapo Olusola Eleka as the “preferred sole candidate” of the party.
