Many a commander in the past had demonstrated greater fervor and apparent zeal in combatting the Plateau crises, only to later wane and, in some instances, get deeply involved. It's an ethno-religious thing with high-wire political coloration. Only a sincere leader, specifically, a C in C devoid of considerations of personal safety and political fortune, can undertake the type of military measure required to solve the seemingly never-ending crises, and sustain such a solution.
