It is a norm for politicians to apologize for their failures when they know that they will be leaving power. But most of these apologies are not genuine and they don't usually point out what they did that made them to be apologizing. Mr Buhari is apologizing for his economic policies that made Nigerians suffer during his administration but he did not spell out the policies. Didn't he know that those policies are detrimental for our common good when he was busy rolling them out. Let him just hand over power and go back to Daura while we pray that the next administration will bring relief.

You shouldn't expect anything less than this from Buhari. But the only concern I have is that he talks from both sides of his mouth. Deep down he really wants the next president to fail so that he can appear as a saint. He knows that he has failed in all segments and he can only wish that others failure will justify his failure.
