On Monday, September 9, 2024, Apple will host one of its most anticipated annual events at its Cupertino headquarters. This major showcase will feature the unveiling of the iPhone 16 lineup, along with notable updates to the AirPods and Apple Watch series. Additionally, Apple is set to introduce "Apple Intelligence," a suite of AI-driven tools designed to enhance user experience across all its devices.

Here’s a detailed preview of the expected announcements, based on reports from Bloomberg:

iPhone 16 Series
Apple is set to launch four new iPhone models:

iPhone 16
iPhone 16 Plus
iPhone 16 Pro
iPhone 16 Pro Max

iPhone 16 and 16 Plus:
While maintaining the familiar design from last year's models, both will see performance boosts, including faster processors and 8GB of memory to support new AI features introduced through Apple Intelligence. The 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays and aluminum cases will remain unchanged, but they will now feature the Action button found on the Pro models. Additionally, they will support spatial video recording, enabling the capture of 3D clips viewable on Apple’s Vision Pro headsets.

iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max:
These models will retain the design of the iPhone 15 Pro, but with a notable increase in display size—6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. The Pro models will also have slimmer bezels and an 8GB memory upgrade to support advanced AI functions. Camera improvements include a 48-megapixel ultrawide-angle lens and an enhanced 5x optical zoom on the iPhone 16 Pro telephoto lens, matching the capabilities of the Max model. Both Pro versions will feature a dedicated, touch-sensitive button on the right side of the phone for taking photos and videos, simulating a DSLR shutter button.

AirPods
Two new AirPods models are expected to replace the second- and third-generation earbuds. Both models will feature designs similar to the AirPods Pro, with improved audio quality and USB-C charging. The mid-tier version will include a high-end case with a built-in speaker for easier tracking via Apple’s Find My feature, and noise cancellation akin to the AirPods Pro. Apple is also exploring hearing health features, including the possibility of using AirPods for hearing aids, although some functionalities may be delayed.

Apple Watch
For the first time in two years, Apple will refresh its entire Apple Watch lineup, introducing a new Apple Watch SE, Series 10, and Ultra 3. The Series 10 model will see a design update with larger screen options and a thinner case. Apple is also expected to unveil a new health feature aimed at detecting sleep apnea, although this feature might not be available at launch.

Apple Intelligence
The new AI platform, Apple Intelligence, will be highlighted during the event. It promises to improve messaging and notification summaries, although many of its key features are expected to roll out in 2025.
