In the family I come from, sharing is everything... Literally🤷.
I once told our last born my BVN number playfully, believing that since he's not up to 18, he could never use it for anything too risky.
“I guess I didn't think it through”😔
One morning, I got a call from an unknown number, claiming that I had taken a loan of 35k and if I didn't return it, my name and a poster of me as a criminal who was into lots of fraudulent activities will be put up for people to see.😩
I didn't understand the message and took it as a spam call though I was surprised the caller knew my name and phone number. Later on, I got a text message saying basically the same thing and so I got suspicious.🤔
I started going through my messages one by one until I found a message saying I had successfully borrowed 29k from a payday loan app🤧. I knew I didn't borrowed so I asked my siblings.
Every one replied and denied but only our last born kept quiet. I kept insisting until he blurted out in tears that he borrowed money from palmpay to give some to his friend in need and buy stuffs with the rest. I got so angry realizing how stupid of a mistake he made🤦🏻♀️.
But no matter how angry I got, I knew he was just too young to earn money so I was trapped in this situation alone. Right about now, I still have pending loan of about 20k+😩 and the "sharing everything" bond between us both was shattered just like that.
