One more close call
The heat that day was unbearable, and the sun seemed determined to roast me alive as I made my way home. By the time I arrived, I was completely drained. Cooking was out of the question, so I forced myself to go downstairs and grab some groundnuts. It was quick and easy, no energy wasted.
After eating, sleep took over immediately. That nap was magic because I woke up feeling completely refreshed. As I stretched and gathered myself, my mum called. I stepped outside to take the call, enjoying the fresh air while we chatted. It felt good to be up and moving after such a rough day.
But what I saw when I returned inside shocked me. My wall hanger had fallen right onto my bed, the exact spot where I had been sleeping just minutes before. I froze for a moment, thinking of what could’ve happened if I hadn’t woken up and stepped out when I did. The thought alone gave me chills.
Looking at the mess, all I could do was thank God for His timing.
