MY UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE I ENCOUNTERED AS A FUTARIAN.
Gaining admission into the prestigious university was indeed a delight to behold.
The long awaited moment after three years patiently waiting on God for a miracle,eagerly checking my portal regularly just to receive an admission letter but all to no
avail.Then,on one faithful noontime,February 3rd,2024;I checked my G-mail and saw I have received my admission letter from the prestigious Federal University Of Technology,Akure,(FUTA).It was overwhelming,after all the mockery from my colleagues who got admission before me,I graduated from secondary school 2021, and now my admission letter I was really happy because it has been my dream to attend this prestigious university,I got transferred to the department of Ecotourism and Wildlife Management(EWM).With all eagerness and enthusiasm
,I resumed on the 5th of February,2024.
I made payment for my school fees ,hostel fee and other
dues.When it was time for registration,I arranged my documents and photocopied my certificates and other documents needed for the registration process.
Surprisingly, I was able to do all my registration in a day ,quite amazing,because I usually hear people say it takes weeks to get it done and I was really happy that it didn’t make me much of a struggle.
I applied for Awosika female hostel ,which was the only available affordable hostel.
I got an accommodation notification that I’ve been offered accommodation,though it took awhile before I was allocated bed space and then after been allocated my bed space,I settled in and luckily,I was the first to move in to my room.
Few weeks passed and classes started fully then we were introduced to Mechanical engineering Drawings101(MEE101)
It wasn’t easy ,carrying drawing board ,sitting on bare grounds and having to struggle to sit at the front seat for easy access to instructions from the lecturers ,we had the class once or twice weekly.
We did practical courses that involved us going to the laboratory,we did tiltration and other interesting topics in the practical aspect of Chemistry.
On matriculation day,we converged at Obafemi Awolowo Auditorium,Obanla Campus.Everyone dressed colourfully in their matriculation gowns ,smiling faces and all
It was indeed a sight to behold
At last the long awaited journey as just begun
From matriculation to convocation I pray oh lord,Amen..
