Shakey

I was jejely using my earpiece when my friebd approached to borrow it. When I handed her the earpiece, she looked at it and smiled, saying she could use it for her call. It felt okay at first, but as time went on, her call stretched longer than I expected. Thirty minutes went by, and I started to feel a bit worried. I couldn’t believe I had to wait that long just to get my earpiece back.

When she finally returned it to me, something felt off. I noticed the earpiece was shaky now. I was confused and thought, how come what I just gave to her was shaky after the few minutes I left it for her. I didn’t understand what could have happened during that time. I just held on to it tightly, hoping it would somehow fix itself.

When I got home, I plugged the earpiece into my phone, but no luck. It still had problems. I sat there for a moment, feeling a mix of confusion and frustration. Should I be upset with my friend for something that was maybe her fault? Or should I just accept that the earpiece was broken, all because of a long phone call?
I loved that earpiece as I no get money for earpods.

Poor business skills

Today, I was just returning from my aunt's place when I caught sight of some clothes. There were three pairs of shorts, and they looked very attractive.

I approached the seller and bargained with him. The seller didn't seem to be very accommodating because I offered him a fair price. I priced the shorts at 3,000 Naira, while he wanted to sell them for 3,500 Naira. But I wasn't looking to buy just a single pair; I wanted to buy all three.

At a reasonable price, he could have made a sale. Let's not even say 3,000 Naira. If he had lowered the price for each pair from 3,500 Naira to 3,200 Naira, I would have considered it. But he didn't agree to any other amount, so I walked away and went home. I wasn't feeling sad about it because after walked a distance, he called me back but my ego wouldn't let me turn back.

Utilizing the slightest opportunity

Well, I've always wanted my auntie to allow me to try out driving the car. She would not let me even try it out, not even when I sat in the front seat behind the steering wheel. She would always warn me not to turn on the ignition. She constantly discussed its dangerousness.

Well, today, while she was parked and went into a shopping mall, I decided to try something that I had been watching online. I had been looking at some tutorials just to know how to start the car and maybe move it a little. So, I turned on the ignition, and then I was able to move the car a little bit and park it back, turning it off like nothing happened.

I had thought before that driving required a lot of skills and years of experience because of the way Aunty exaggerate driving, but it didn't feel harder than playing with some toy.

Entertaining Myself

I recently started watching the popular show called Superman and Lois. I began just two days ago, and wow, I must say that I really liked it.

This show is about Superman, who is a superhero, and Lois, who is a brave reporter. Why am I evening explaining the movie to people who probably have watched all the series on earth 😅What I loved about it is that it wasn’t all about fighting and loud explosions like some other superhero movies. Instead, it told a nice story about their family and how they deal with everyday life.

The pictures were really clear and pretty, and I liked how calm everything felt. Even though there were some action scenes, they weren't super intense, like in those big movies with lots of battles, like the Avengers.

It was nice to just sit back and enjoy the moviw without feeling too much excitement. I liked getting to know the characters and watching how they solved their problems together. Okay let me get back to my movies now. One more episode to go before I sleep.

A trip for clothes

I went to the market to buy clothes, and everything was going fine until I realized I had forgotten my phone with the earpiece at one of the stalls. I had placed it down while paying and completely forgot about it in the rush. When I got to the bus stop and couldn’t find it in my bag, I quickly made the decision to go back and search for it. It wasn't as easy as I make it sound in this story. I was restless and the worry on my face was a moisture of anger and uncertainty.

I went back to the market, hoping it wasn’t gone. When I got to the stall, I saw the woman who had sold me the clothes. To my relief, she smiled and handed me my earpiece with the phone. She had noticed I left it behind and kept it safe for me.

Out of gratitude, I offered her 500 naira as a token of appreciation. I knew it wasn’t much, but I wanted to show how grateful I was for her honesty and kindness. To my surprise, she gently refused the money, saying, "You’re like my daughter. I wouldn’t take money from you."

Good people still exists, that's how my new phone would've gone forever with earpiece.

Whirl wind

It was my first time seeing a whirl wind that was moving with a lot of force.
I was on a bus going to the market when my eyes caught a cloud of dust. Actually a smoke of thick dust was rotating around a particular region.
I was engrrossed with the view even the people in the bus joined me as we glanced closely at what actually was causing the dust but we didn't see anything causing it.
Was just the wind playing with the dust, I thought. The only thing making it weird was thatit made very Sharp noises and it was my first time witnessing one moving so violently.

The bus driver slowed down and we had the opportunity to look and see what this whirl wind was going to do as if was taking the path leading towards the direction of the marketplace.

Lucky enough the market women had taken shades before it hit their tables, carrying heavy gallons of oil high up in the sky with tables, some fruits, stones, bags, etc.
It carried them very high up in the sky and then dispersed them far away.I never saw something like that before, I thought it was going to be an interesting view but then it turned scary like in the movies.

CEO′s Story

Yesterday, the awaited Hamster airdrop finally paid out, but the amount was so small that many people were calling it "dust." It was disappointing after waiting for two months and tapping their game daily, but I didn’t really expect much to begin with.

With the little I got, which amounted to just 9,000 naira, I decided to treat myself. I made a delicious pot of okro soup with some good beef to lift my spirits. At least, if the money wasn’t plenty, I could still eat well and feel a bit better about the whole thing.

Honestly, I can’t say I deserved more from the airdrop. The platform had a huge community, so I wasn’t surprised that the reward wasn’t much. It’s always a gamble with these things, especially when there are a lot of people involved.

Even though the payout was underwhelming, I appreciate that they even paid at all. Some projects never do. So, in a way, they tried, and that’s worth acknowledging.

All the same, I’m still hopeful for better opportunities. Maybe the next airdrop will be bigger and more rewarding. I keep praying for a lucky one, because small wins like these are what we rely on sometimes.

When the girl was a stuntman

I want to tell a story of a very remarkable incident that happened some years back.

See ehh, we had a farm land behind our family house, and this farm shared a common boundary with another land owner who as at then had a fencing project on.

We had banana plantations located throughout our farm and then, there were about 3 of these plantations that outgrew, crossing the boundary of our farmland into this other
man's property.

We have been harvesting from those other plantations too even though it was not on our farmland any longer, but it was still our crop.

After the man was done fencing his property, we lost access to our crop and then, there came a day when we were asked to pay a certain fee in school.
I didn't want to disturb my parents, so I found a means with the help of my brother, I climbed on the fence to survey what once were our banana, and at that point, I spotted two bunch of mature bananas dangling majestically. I knew how much I could have these heads of bananas sold for and the balance I'll still end up with after paying up the fee in school from the sale proceeds.

I had cut the first bunch when I heard a roaring voice shout to my direction, it was the owner of the farm!
That was the day I knew I had superhuman skills, because the way I flipped from that wall ehhhn.
Hapuzie Akiko.
