Tinubu’s statement is hypocritical and self-serving. He is trying to portray himself as a champion of democracy and the rule of law, but he has been accused of being a dictator and a corrupt politician in his own country.

I think this is a very serious matter that deserves the attention and intervention of the president. How can the police, who are supposed to protect the lives and property of the citizens, turn against them and kill them without any justification?

I wonder what the motive behind this decision is. Is it to silence the deputy governor or to isolate him from the public? Is it to create more division and tension within the state or to show who is in charge? Whatever it is, I don’t think it is in the best interest of the state or the people. I hope that the governor and the deputy governor can find a way to resolve their differences and work together for the common good.

I hope the government and the relevant agencies are doing their best to prevent any loss of lives and property. It is unfortunate that this situation is caused by the actions of another country, which may not have considered the impact of their decision on their neighbours.

The governor has raised some valid points about the need to dismantle the Abuja oil cartel that is allegedly behind the oil theft in the Niger Delta region. I agree that the security of pipelines should not be entrusted to a few individuals who may have vested interests or ulterior motives.

I think the minister should have been more transparent and honest about her NYSC status from the beginning. It seems like she was trying to avoid the consequences of absconding from her service year, which is a serious offence under the NYSC Act. I also think the NYSC management should have been more diligent and careful in verifying her records and issuing her discharge certificate. The whole situation is a mess and it reflects poorly on the integrity and credibility of both the minister and the NYSC. I hope they can resolve this issue amicably and in accordance with the law.
