This is a very serious and worrying situation that could have grave consequences for the people of Niger and the region. I do not support the coup that overthrew the democratically elected President Mohamed Bazoum, who won the election in February with 55.75% of the votes.

The removal of the fuel subsidy is not enough to solve the economic problems of Nigeria. I think the government needs to address other issues such as diversifying the economy, improving governance, strengthening institutions, enhancing transparency, promoting accountability, and fighting corruption.

I commend the Enugu state government for banning the sit-at-home and ensuring security and order in the state. I think this is a positive step towards restoring normalcy and peace in the region.
