RESTORATION (Joel 2:25-26)

RESTORATION (Joel 2:25-26)
25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

God is in the business of restoration, and as believers in Christ, He wants to make us whole in every area of our lives. This process transforms us into the new creation that 2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMPC) describes as “(a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away“

Joyce Meyer once shared the story of her own restoration” I remember when I desperately needed to recover from the abuse in my past. I had thought that when I was old enough to leave home, I would leave the pain behind, but the problem was in my soul — my thinking and emotions. I needed healing and restoration so I wouldn′t continue to be poisoned by things that had happened to me all those years growing up.

I came to this realization after a woman came to speak at our church and shared her testimony of how she had been abused and God had healed her. My husband, Dave, bought her book for me, and when I started to read it, it was so painful that I threw it across the room and refused to pick it up. But then I clearly heard the Holy Spirit speak to my heart, “It′s time, Joyce.“ God had a much better life for me than what I had known up to that point, and He wanted to restore my soul so I could experience it.”
That’s the amazing testimony of Joyce Meyer, someone who was raped almost fifty times by her own Dad and God has raised her today to become one of the most glorious lights of the gospel in the world over.

Isaiah 61:7 (AMPC) says, “Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs.“
This scripture shows us that God can completely restore us — no matter what we′ve done or been through. And He wants to bring us to a position that′s better than we would have been in if we had never gone through the messes in our lives. He wants to give us double for our trouble!

“Top of Form“
Notice the phrase “instead of your former shame.“ Do you know what it′s like to have shame in your life? Joyce Meyer had a shame-based nature for many years because of the abuse she experienced from her father. She felt guilty, blaming herself for the wrongs of her father.
But the first thing Jesus gives us through our relationship with Him is righteousness, or right standing with God (2 Corinthians 5:21). It′s so important for us to get this, because the enemy wants us to think about everything that′s wrong with us so we′ll focus on our faults. And when we do this, it just gives our problems more strength over us. The next thing we will need is our own very action.

The Process of Restoration
God has spoken through the mouth of our Father in the Lord that a season of Complete Restoration is here. Think about it like this: When a person restores a used-up, beat-up piece of furniture, the first thing they do is strip off the old layers of paint or varnish.
We all have things that need to be stripped away in our lives. Maybe it′s old attitudes and mindsets that don′t line up with the way God thinks and acts or unhealthy relationships that are holding you back from God′s purpose and plans for you. Whatever it is, you can pray, “Lord, strip me of everything that′s not good for me, and everything that′s hindering my walk with you. Bible says “If my people that are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray… I will heal their land”

Complete restoration does not just happen. I beseech you dear friend that you take personal responsibility to enforce this prophesy. Gear up for it. Be expectant and sow your seeds. I assure you; most certainly you shall be restored in Jesus name.

Happy New Month.

Lift Up Your Heads O Ye Gates (Ps 24:7-10)

Lift Up Your Heads O Ye Gates (Ps 24:7-10)
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Gates are barriers to progress. They limit the access of men into destiny. Gates can be limitation to progress such that even for those who know where to go for help, they are restricted. Gates can even be altars erected against people who are inside trouble to never get out of it.

The Bible shows us clearly in the Old Testament that the vulnerability and strength of a fortress or stronghold always rested in its gates. This principle is the same in the spiritual that was revealed to us in the natural. There are important facts that were known in Bible times to conquer a fortified city.
In the Old Testament the gates of ancient cities are not as we imagine today’s gates, but massive gates made of stone, iron, brass, or wood frequently sheeted with metal. They were tall and wide. “The Beautiful Gate” of Herod’s temple (Acts 3:2) was made of brass and required twenty men to close it. These gates were opened during the day to allow the citizens to come and go, but were generally closed and barred at night as a safety measure to keep out enemy attacks. But note one thing- whoever controlled the gates of the stronghold ruled the city.

The gates of a city are very significant. The gates were shut at nightfall (Joshua 2:5) because they were the chief point from which the enemy attacked (Judges 5:8).
Gates are seats of authority (Ruth 4:11). At the gates, wisdom was uttered(Proverbs 1:21). Judges and officers served at the gates administering justice (Deuteronomy 16:18) and the councils of state were held at the gates (2 Chronicles 18:9). The Word was read (Nehemiah 8:2-3) and the prophets proclaimed God’s message (Jeremiah 17:19-20) from the gates. The people also had to enter through the gates to worship the Lord.

If you look very closely you will see that gates are not just natural or material barriers. They are spiritual and prophetic with capacity to determine what a man would get and what he would never get. As you read this message today, I pray for you from my very heart that every gates that have been erected to limit your access into destiny are falling down today in Jesus’ name.

It is a big deal to lift up the gates and doors because only men who have authority, control and access can open doors and lift up the gates. Interestingly too, access to a gate is never given up without a fight. I have news for you as you read this dear friend, the devil will not give up access to the gates of destiny without a decent fight. The devil will put up a fight before he gets off your inheritance. But I can also tell you that your savior is match enough for him. I want you to know, the devil is not a gentle devil. He is ready for a fight and so is our God.

The Bible defining the battle integrity of our God asks “8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” As we enter the month of September, I want to assure you that God will be lifting ancient gates. He will be opening ancient doors. God will be winning long-standing battles. So hold on to him. Never give up on him. Rest solely on his counsel and he will give you victory.

Happy New month and Happy New RCCG Church Calendar Year.

A New Wave Of Glory (2 cor 3:18)

A New Wave Of Glory (2 cor 3:18)
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Dear friend, it is now the eighth month of the year and very fast 2021 is rolling by. I would love to ask you a question: How much better is your life today than yesterday?
The song of many is the victories of yester years. They have no new victories. They have covered no new grounds.
Please hear me dear reader, any man who prides himself only of victories of yesterday is a man of yesterday. He has no relevance in the now. May you not be that kind of man in Jesus’ name.

May I have you know that God is only delighted in men who make conscious efforts to move ahead each day? He spoke in Exodus 14:15 ”And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward.” Hebrew 10:38 says ”… but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” God is not interested in those who keep on a spot. God is not delighted in those who draw back. His only delight is progress-a new level, a new glory!
Our God is a dynamic God. Every new day He renews His glory. Every new day He does something greater. Many are so used to the ways of yesterday that they do not imagine new things. Many are locked in their expectations that they do not dream bigger dreams.
For as many people who are held back by the victories of yesterday God will give you a new ground to conquer in Jesus name.

Do you know dear friend that the problem of some people is the victory of old?
Isa 43:18-19 is significantly descriptive of what exactly the glory of God can do to a man. Let us examine the spiritual import of Isa 43:18-19 for a moment.
“…I will even make a way in the wilderness…”(Isa 3:19B) I do not know that man or woman who is reading this piece right now and all around you there is thick darkness; no light or any sign that there will soon be light. You have come to the limits of your wits and the end of your wisdom. But the word of God is coming to you today. God is making a way of escape for you. Dear reader, I like you to know that the delight of God is doing the impossible. Impossibility is the specialty of our God.

The book of Mark Chapter 4 recorded the event of the wild storm when Jesus was asleep right at the innermost part of the cabin. Everyone in that ship on that day was afraid. They believed they would die. But Jesus right in the middle of the storm was fast asleep; it took some time to even wake Him. They said to him “Carest not thou that we perish?” That day Jesus did one more new thing. Right in their presence he spoke the word “Peace be still” and the wind obeyed. They exclaimed “What manner of man is this? Even the wind and the storms obey him”.
Listen to me reader: that long-standing problem of your life that you believe would cost you a fortune or even your life savings will disappear at the word of the master.

In Isa 43:19C God says “I will make rivers in the desert”. Please note, NOT “a river” BUT “rivers”. By definition a desert is a place where no plant can grow because there is never water in and around it. As a result of this a desert is always lonely and deserted. Is there anyone reading this piece who is in that condition?
Perhaps you have been avoided by men like a plague. It could be because of a malignant medical condition or a terrible financial situation. It is even possible that family and friends do not pick your calls anymore; maybe you have become so much a burden to them. Hear me dear reader, your glory will speak yet again. Very soon men will come to the glory of your rising. I have the assurance of God to say to you this day “You will not die like this” God, even our God will show up for you. Behold, our God will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? He will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers our deserts.

2 Cor 3:18 says “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”
As the Lord Almighty Himself has spoken, the only course of our lives from now and henceforth shall be from glory unto higher realms of glory in Jesus name.

Happy new month of a new beginning.

    BREAKTHROUGH

    BREAKTHROUGH
    Text : Luke 19:29-31
And it came to pass, when He drew near to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mountain called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples, saying, “Go into the village opposite you, where as you enter you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Loose it and bring it here. And if anyone asks you, ‘Why are you loosing it?’ thus you shall say to him, ‘Because the Lord has need of it.’

Everyday Christians all over the world pray for breakthroughs in their lives whether in their marriage, finances, health, relationships, family, business or any other area of their lives. Day after day, believers are praying for new levels in their lives and ministries as they walk with God. If you are one of those praying desperately and desiring a major breakthrough in your life, business, career, academics or ministry; I want to share with you some insights on this very important topic.
Let us understand first that breakthrough is not something we sit around and wait for. Breakthrough is what happens when we align with God’s instructions and respond to in obedience to what He has already commanded and already promised. In essence therefore, breakthrough is guaranteed for believers who diligently engage the standards of God all the time.“

In getting started, I like to share with you three important keys to enabling and receiving your breakthrough.

    Asking with Right Motives
“You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” (James 4:2-3 NIV)
This is admittedly the toughest one for us. We all have a tendency to think about ourselves as we naturally deserve good things of life because we are children of God. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But it is also important for God to see your good intentions in claiming those promises. This is especially true when we feel that we have major needs or desires going unmet. Motives are extremely important to God.

    Pray for Others
God will move you sometimes to intercede earnestly for other people’s situations.
We have probably seen God move by answering our prayers for breakthrough for other people more than we’ve seen Him answer the prayers we prayed for ourselves.
That’s true even though the ratio of selfless prayers to self-centered prayers is lower than we’d care to admit. What would happen if we all determine to start interceding for each other?
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2 NIV)

Speak God’s Word Over Your Own Situation
Claiming God’s promises is a major key when praying prayers for breakthrough. The best thing to do is get a list of verses that apply directly to your situation and start decreeing them.
God’s Word is a weapon, and the word “decree” is used repeatedly in the Old Testament to describe the things God has spoken over us. If you think about kings in the ancient world, they could decree something and it had the effect of law. A king’s decree is very powerful.
One of the barriers that can block breakthroughs in the life of a man is what he professeses. If you want breakthrough to come upon a certain area of your life, speak the right words and declare the promises of God no matter how your life or the situation looks like.

May the Lord perfect all that concerns you in the new month of July in Jesus name.

    Happy new Month.

The Potter and The Clay (Rom 9:17-21)

The Potter and The Clay (Rom 9:17-21)
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

In Jeremiah 18, the Lord told the prophet to go down to the potter’s house. Jeremiah obeyed, going down the winding, narrow streets in the lower city of Jerusalem, near the rich clay deposits in the Valley of Ben Hinnom. As Jeremiah entered the potter’s house, he saw the potter working on his wheel. The King James Version records an interesting historical note in verse 3 where it reads, “. . . he wrought a work on the wheels.”
The Bible contains many illustrations of potters and clay. The potter refers to God and the clay to His people. As we seek to understand the potter’s work, truths about our spiritual lives begin to emerge. We will look at five steps in the pottery-making process and draw lessons from each. There are valuable lessons God can teach us today from even the ordinary, dirty clay.

Gathering the clay: Before the potter can start, he needs to gather clay. He wouldn’t take just any clay. He spent a great deal of time picking the exact clay that he wanted. He carefully lifted out the proper clay and placed it in his container. This reminds us of the horrible pit from which we were drawn. When the Master Potter came looking for us, He found us in the filth of our sins. We were lost, damned, and without hope. With great love and infinite care, our Savior drew us up out of the filthy pit, set our feet on a rock, and established our going (Psalm 40:2).
    -
  • Cleaning the clay:* With infinite care, the potter kneads and molds the clay. He searches out and removes any little twig, stone or impurity. Sometimes this process is done with rods. The clay is placed on a table and beaten with the rod until it is smooth and all the impurities are removed.
  • This reminds us of our spiritual lives. After we are saved, God turns the great spotlight of His Holy Spirit on our lives and points out areas that need to be removed. The process can be painful but it is absolutely necessary. If the potter does not remove all the impurities and air pockets from the clay, it may explode when it is placed in the furnace. This will destroy the vessel and may damage or destroy other vessels that are in the kiln with it.
Just so, if we are to be vessels that are useful in God’s service, we must stay on the table until all the impurities are removed. We must be open and receptive to the Holy Spirit as He instructs us about areas we need to remove. Jesus said, “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me . . . If a man love me, he will keep my words . . . He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings” (John 14:21, 23-24).

Shaping the clay: After the clay is thoroughly cleaned, it is ready to go on the wheel. The potter forms the clay into a lump and places it on the wheel. He begins to turn it. As the lump spins, he moistens his hands and shapes the clay. The moisture is very important. If it’s too dry, it will break and resist formation. If it is too wet, it will refuse to assume the shape the potter desires. Sometimes the clay is sticky and resists the potter’s efforts. As he works the clay, he may smash it down and start over.
This process is rich in spiritual lessons. Sometimes we know what area the Potter is trying to change in our lives, but we resist Him. Usually the problem isn’t one of knowing what God wants. It is a problem of our wills. Sometimes in our stubbornness and arrogance, we continue to resist Him. How tragic that is, and what great harm it causes to our spiritual lives.
Sometimes we allow God to shape us at first. We yield to Him, but then we resist Him, and God has to return us to the wheel. Our service for Him is marred and broken. But, like the potter, God can see what will be in our lives. God is a specialist in taking broken, ruined pots and making precious vessels out of them. The secret lies in our confession, repentance, and submission to Him. If you have been marred or broken, don’t despair. Allow God, the loving Master Potter, to mend and mold you into a beautiful vessel for His service.
This picture is a powerful encouragement for those of us who have failed in some area of our lives. All of us are subject to failure. Sometimes we wonder if God can ever use us again in His service. But the God we serve specializes in mending broken pots. If we confess and forsake our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Drying the container: After the vessel is shaped and separated, the potter places it on the shelf for drying. The process slows to a halt at this stage. Before, there was lots of activity: digging, beating, probing, cleaning, forming, and spinning. Now there is rest. The unfired vessel will collapse if it is filled with water. It will break if it is handled roughly. The drying and resting are very important. The vessel will break and be useless if it is fired before it is properly dried.
This is an example of what often happens in our lives. God can use these dry times in our lives to build maturity into us. Let’s be patient when God places us on the drying shelf. Let’s look forward to the many wonderful blessings which are being prepared for us in the eternal world.

Firing the container: When the vessel has dried sufficiently, the potter places it in the kiln for the firing process. The temperature must be incredibly hot, approximately 2,000° Fahrenheit (1,100° Celsius) for the furnace to do its job. As it is heated, the vessel experiences changes in its molecular structure which make it useful and watertight. The vessel would dissolve if water were put into it before the firing. But after the firing, it will hold water for years. The vessel that was soft and easily marred becomes hard and durable. The fire that burned it caused it to become a useful vessel.

All of us have one or more areas where we have to battle with Satan. He knows exactly what our vulnerable areas are. He is an expert at tempting us in those areas. It is so important that we recognize those areas and avoid the temptation. It is important that we be accountable to someone in those areas and not give Satan a foothold. Like the clay piece, the damage will not happen all at once. It will be a slow process of letting down our guard here or making a small compromise there. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, Satan will steal our spirituality until we are cold and indifferent to God. We need to carefully guard our thoughts and our deeds in order to be certain Satan is not taking advantage of us.

Never allow yourself to engage in a small or seemingly harmless behavior that you know is sinful. Satan only needs a tiny crack in our Christian armor to get a foothold in our lives. The pores in the bottom of that pot are microscopic in size, but they are enough for the moisture to do its damage.

As we conclude, I want to encourage you today: never argue with Him, and always serve Him wherever He puts you.
Paul says in Romans 9:20, “Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?” Of course the answer is no. How ungrateful it is for us to complain to a sovereign God about His will.

God, the Master Potter, is longing for each of us to yield to Him so He can shape us into beautiful vessels to be used in His kingdom. Will you continue to resist His will, causing pain and heartache to both Him and you? Or will you surrender your will to His desires and be a useful vessel for Him? The choice is yours!

    Grace, God’s Grace Zech. 4:6-9 (Part 2)

    Grace, God’s Grace Zech. 4:6-9 (Part 2)
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.

Labor is good but labor is not enough. Effort is good, it is even needful. But effort is never enough. Education is necessary. It is important to go to school but a spectacular education does not guarantee victory in life.
I am reminded yet again of the story of Joseph. Despised by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongly accused and left to rot in prison but Joseph still went all the way to the throne. Joseph speaking of the dimension of Grace that aided his ascent to the throne in Gen. 45:7, says “ But God sent me ahead of you to preserve for you a remnant on earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance.” We talk daily about discipline and chastity but in spite of both it was God’s involvement in the story of his life that took him to the throne. God had an assignment that must never fail.

Moses by all standards was a great man. He was yet in many regards an ordinary human. Moses was stubborn and doubtful yet he was one of the greatest that ever lived because he leaned more on God than he did on self.
Having understood the limitation of the flesh in realising the mandate of destiny it is important to lay out some of the important pillars of working in the spirit and for activating the spirit of Grace in our assignment and journey in life.
    Faith.

The Bible says he that comes to God must believe that He is. Why is that necessary? - Because without the capacity to accept the spiritual as being real more than the natural we will deny God. Heb. 11:1-6 explains in detailed manner why faith in every instance is a demonstration of our assurance in the finished work. When we step out in faith we are claiming what has been delivered already. Faith is the very essence of the spiritual.
    Prayer

The very fact that we pray is a demonstration that we believe in the ability of the spiritual to remake our reality. Our spirit communes with the spirit of God. When we do this often we demonstrate that we are helpless without him and each time he will step forward when he sees that our strength begins to fail. Christians who do not pray struggle in their strength. That’s often a terrible life to live as God himself has foretold the futility of struggling entirely in your strength “By strength shall no man prevail”
    Prophesy

Prophesy is the word that goes ahead; the word of the Lord over your life. Prophesy can either be written (in the Bible) or given though an anointed man of God. The Spirit of the Lord speaks the future to us. Many times we do not look like anything close to it but that’s the exact reason that God spoke it because He likes to do the extraordinary. By laboring in the word we work out the fulfillment of our prophesy (Is. 55:10-11).

It is my prayer dear reader that as you journey in the course of this year you will enjoy the Grace of God perfected through faith, prayer and prophesy in Jesus’ name.

    God Will Do It Again

    God Will Do It Again
O Lord, I have heard of what you have done, and I am filled with awe. Now do again in our times the great deeds you used to do. Be merciful, even when you are angry. (GNB; Habakkuk 3:2)

Like people in Habakkuk time, we have heard what the Lord has done in the Bible days both in the Old and New Testament and early Apostles:
  • how Israel was delivered from Pharaoh by God’s mighty hands,
  • Red Sea and Jordan parted for His people to walk on dry land inside the water,
  • how moon and sun stood still,
  • how the blind saw, the lame walked,
  • barren women became mother of children,
  • incurable diseases were cured, poor became rich,
  • catapult stone killing a veteran of war despite putting armor covering from head to toe
  • etc

  • Beloved, because you and I believe God will do all these wonders and many more once again in our time in Jesus wonderful name. We shall surely experience notable miracles that cannot be denied in our lives and Churches in Jesus mighty name.

Be expectant, you are next on the line to show case His glory. Amen.

    Grace, God′s grace! Zech 4:6-7

    Grace, God′s grace! Zech 4:6-7
So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:..

‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 ????
Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” Zechariah 4:7????

Shouts of Grace! Grace! to it! That′s what we shall finish the new month of May, 2021 with in the name of Jesus.
Without the grace of God! There is nothing we can do successfully or complete perfectly on our own. It can only be by God′s grace! Oh yes! By His grace alone.

Just like God spoke to Zerubbabel -
He is also saying same to us. His Spirit is working in us by His grace to do exceedingly great and awesome things birthing wonderful testimonies in this new month of May - Our month of grace.

We therefore must lean on Him totally and be assured of finishing well all that He has purposed for us - for He has it all planned. All we need to do is to seek His face and know what it is He has, so as not to miss what has been made available to us by His grace and mercy. May that grace be multiplied in Jesus name! 2 Pet 1:2

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord“,... 2 Peter 1:2

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace , that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit - we enjoy this grace now and always.

We are so blessed with this grace of God!

Each one of us has been given a measure of grace as a gift in Christ and so we are without excuse.

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. John 1:16

All we need to do is to make use of it and not to misuse it.

May His perfect plans be established in our lives by His grace in Jesus name,

    Happy New Month.

    GOD Of Impossibilities (Luke: 1:37)

    GOD Of Impossibilities (Luke: 1:37)
For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Dear Friend, it is now the fourth month of the year and very fast 2021 is rolling by. I would love to ask you a question: How much better is your life today than yesterday? The sing song of many is the victories of yester years. They have no new victories. They have covered no new grounds. Please hear me dear reader, any man who prides himself only of victories of yesterday is a man of yesterday. He has no relevance in the now. May you not be that kind of man in Jesus name.

As we journey along in 2021, may I have you know dear reader that God’s biggest delight is doing what men have called impossible.

Let us examine the spiritual importance of Isa. 43:18-19 for a moment.
“…I will even make a way in the wilderness…”(Isa 43:19B) I do not know that man or woman who is reading this piece right now and all around you there is thick darkness; no light or any sign that there will soon be light. You have come to the limits of your wits and the end of your wisdom. But the word of God is coming to you today. God is making a way of escape for you. Dear reader, I like to emphasize that the delight of God is doing the impossible.

Very 6soon men will come to the glory of your rising. I have the assurance of God to say to you this day “You will not die like this” God, even our God will show up for you. Behold, our God will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? He will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers our deserts.

Please understand dear friend that this is not just a mere promise. This is the very character of our God. Recall the story of Lazarus being dead for four days; by the time of Jesus’s arrival he had started to rot. Jesus came and turned a dead situation alive. Please note that God has no impossibility in His dictionary and whatever you desire of Him in your honest prayers he will make them come to pass.

    Happy New Month.

    Divine Lifting (1 Samuel 2:8)

    Divine Lifting (1 Samuel 2:8)
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD′S, and he hath set the world upon them.

Anyone who desires to be lifted of God should know there is always a price to pay. It was Bishop Oyedepo who once shared an encounter he had with the Holy Spirit who said to him “David, there is room for you at the top if you are interested”. Since creation, God’s intention for His beloved has always been to give them “… a hope and an excellent future” according to Jer 29:11. The problem is not with the intentions of God as He is very clear about it and talks about it very frequently. The problem is with paying the price.

Let us take a moment to review; what is the price of the top?
Let us examine the life of Abraham who for most purposes is our very standard in faith and commitment. I think sometimes about how God can choose a man from an idol worshipping background to make the covenant of eternal blessing with him. I think of how God can so jealously guard a relationship that he invests the blessings of many other men in just one man- Abraham. The answer is “absolute obedience”. The Bible; speaking of the faith of Abraham says ”The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father′s household and go to the land I will show you.” (Gen 12:1).
Can you imagine that? Let me break it down. Imagine your father saying to you pack your loads, leave my house and set out on a journey to a country where I will show you? If you again look at Gen 22, God instructed Abraham to sacrifice unto him his only begotten son and he did. He did because he already laid Isaac on the altar before God provided a lamb. Abraham has a record of following God blindly. He didn’t care so much about consequences and rewards, he just followed.
Very clearly, the will of Abraham was absolutely lost in God’s. This is what the Bible is talking about when it says “But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt 19:14). A child follows in blind trust, so did Abraham in his absolute trust of God. See brethren, until your ambitions, hopes and expectations are absolutely lost in God’s will, lifting is very much a distant phenomenon.

The second and very pertinent condition is consecration or absolute dedication to the cause of the gospel. It was Peter who asked Jesus “Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?” (Matt 19:27). Jesus responded to Peter and said “And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
See brethren, leaving all for God always results in gaining more with him. In responding to God’s enquiry (in the above story narrated) Bishop Oyedepo answered “God, I am interested”. And God said to him “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and all these things that others are dying to get, I will add to you”. You see, men who are dedicated are men who do not leave the weightier matters of the Kingdom to pursue “these things”. It is extremely difficult in this materialistic world to retain absolute focus, but this is exactly what God expects of us.

Lastly, the top is for those who work hard. For six days God worked hard creating the universe only to rest on the sixth. Today, many folks rest 6 days and work for one day and they didn’t even create one small value. See, greatness is always a product of work as much as it is a product of Grace. It was Apostle Paul who said ” But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (1 Cor. 15:10) Let no man deceive you, only men who are diligent in their work will stand before kings.

I beseech you today dear reader, if you passionately desire the top ensure to commit yourself to absolute dedication, give yourself to hard-work and obey God even at the risk of your life. That way, I am certain; you can never miss the top.
