The ghost
I've made a promise to myself never to walk late at night again. But you can't always predict what will happen.
One night, around 10:00 pm, I was walking home when I saw a man dressed in a black hoodie and black trousers. I walked past him, but I sensed he was following me. Left, right- I changed directions, but he followed suit.
Feeling uneasy, I broke into a run. He did the same, matching my pace. I ran faster, but he kept up.
Finally, I reached my place and quickly opened the gate, my heart racing. He caught up with me and said, "lekan, why were you running??
Trying to catch my breath, I turned back and saw jide. Then I smiled. I was just....just exercising," I replied, still breathing heavily.
Or did you think I was a ghost?" He joked, laughing.
"No way even if you were. I'm not scared of ghosts," I said as we entered together.
I lied. I thought he was a spirit or a kidnapper or something. That's why I ran for my life!!!
