I went to get a new burner for my cooker because the old one was all rusty and broken.
Walked into a shop and the seller said it was 3500. I found it rather too expensive but I paid and left.
That same day I was having a conversation with my neighbor when he chipped in that he just changed his own burner.
Said he got it from a store close to his workplace for 1200.
Me: 1200??!! Bro I bought my own today and that guy sold it 3500!!
Neighbor: Ah, you’ve been cheated. Burner 3500 keh.
Fast forward to today I overheard a group of people talking about a shop that caught fire together with all the goods in it.
Amebo me joined in the conversation and began with my
“eyah, chai. What a loss”
Me: Wait o, which shop exactly?
Them: That shop opposite that bet9ja wey dem dey sell gas cylinders.
Turns out it was the shop of the guy that scammed me.
Me: Eyah, I feel for him o.
