Banks Debit Over N100bn From Customer's Account for Government. This is the reason why they cause the scarcity so that Nigerians will be forced to do transactions using cards and bank transfers through which the banks will charge you to pay the government and take some percentage for themselves.

EFCC Delete Social Media Post On Ex-minister,Diezani

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has deleted an Instagram post quoting a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison-Madueke, as speaking on money laundering charges brought against her. The social media post earlier seen by our correspondent claimed that the former minister spoke in an interview with journalists in the United Kingdom.
However, further checks by our correspondent on Saturday revealed that the unsigned post had been pulled down from the anti-graft agency’s official Instagram handle. Meanwhile, when contacted over the development, the spokesperson for the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, denied the report, while noting that the report didn’t emanate from nor was it signed by the anti-graft agency.
“The report is not from the EFCC. Anything that is not signed by me is not from us (the EFCC),” Oyewale said. The PUNCH reports that Allison-Madueke who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration fled the country following her prosecution by the EFCC over alleged money laundering.
In October 2023, Sunday PUNCH exclusively reported that the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, submitted a warrant of arrest and request to the Crown Prosecution Services of the United Kingdom for her extradition.
The report indicated that the request which was made on the orders of President Bola Tinubu followed a written official request by the EFCC to the office of the AGF earlier in October.
A top Federal Government source had revealed that in making the extradition request, the office of the AGF cited Section 2 (2) of Nigeria’s Extradition Act, CAP E25, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, and the London Scheme of Extradition within the Commonwealth otherwise known as ‘The Scheme,’ a multilateral treaty which governs extradition between the United Kingdom and Nigeria. “The EFCC established a prima facie case against Allison- Madueke in a letter to the office of the AGF, after which a magistrate was ordered to issue a warrant of arrest. The Certified True Copy of the warrant of arrest was then attached to the extradition request written to the UK government by the AGF on the orders of the President,” a source had noted.

How does that affect and help citizens like me and others who do not travel by train and long distances with the buses. It would have been better and more beneficial if Mr. President can look for better ways of bringing down the price of fuel and other petroleum products. The cost of living and the prices of goods are dependent on fuel price.

The sad truth

Someone I know who stays in the US but campaigned vigorously for "Awalokan" came to Nigeria last week. I tried reaching him just to ask about his journey and how he was enjoying Naija at the moment, but his Nigeria number wasn't going through. Almost a week, I didn't hear from him, so I contacted someone who I knew stays close to him. That was how I was able to get in touch.
I asked why his Naija number was not going through, and Baba started ranting: people are disturbing him for money. He couldn't access cash in the bank. He could only do transfers, and the transfer is also frustrating. He has been on generator since he came, he is scared to travel for a function in the next state because of kidnapping and all other excuses. He said the guy driving him literally brought his wife and children to come and greet him and they spent 2 days (Friday - Sunday). The whole family moved in with him to "greet" him...🤣🤣🤣.
I kept saying "eeya", "e pele" throughout the conversation. He is already cutting short his stay because he said he might not survive if he stays till January.

From "Awalokan" to "Enikan l'omo".

RVSG GOVERNMENT SET TO REBUILD THE ASSEMBLY COMPLEX

The Rivers State Government says the decision to demolish and rebuild the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex was due to the structural defects which arose mainly as a result of the recent explosion and fire incident which rendered the main building unfit for human use. A statement issued by the Rivers State Commissioner for Information Mr Joseph Johnson said after the visit of the Governor to inspect the level of damage done to the building on the day of the fire incident, it became necessary to invite professionals to advice the government on the integrity of the building.
It would be recalled that on the night of the attack on the complex explosive dynamites were used to attack the complex which shook it to foundation. There were visible cracks on the walls afterwards, and the entire structure looked frail and unsafe for legislative business.
"After the assessment of the integrity of the complex, the experts warned the government that continuing to use the building in its present state would be disastrous", he said, noting that the government had tried all cost saving measures towards repair of the complex until it bowed to superior view of rebuilding the complex to a more befitting edifice.
In the interim, the Rivers State Government has provided an alternative venue for the House of Assembly to conduct their affairs pending the rebuilding of the complex.

Oil Theft: Securities Arrest Another vessel

Operatives of the Tantita Security Services Limited, the
Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have arrested a massive vessel in the coastal waters of Ondo States.
Authoritative sources stated with video evidence that the suspected vessel was sighted off the coast of Ondo State while loading crude from a Well Head.
Investigations revealed that a combined team of Soldiers, men of the NSDC and Tantita operatives accosted the vessel which had naval personnel on board.
It was gathered that the Naval personnel refused a request by the NNPC that the vessel be moved to the NNPC jetty at Oporoza for a joint inspection.
However, a source stated that naval operatives on the vessel resisted the request insisting that the Navy was the one which arrested the vessel and was escorting it to one of its bases. The source said that the Naval operatives have been shooting all day thereby causing yet another stand-off between Tantita, the Army and Navy.
The source said that the Tantita operatives who are enforcing the a pipeline protection contract with the NNPC and the Federal Government became worried when the Navy insisted that the vessel should not be taken for joint inspection.
Video evidence provided by our sources revealed that the Naval operatives fired barrage of repeated shots to ward off the Tantita operatives and soldiers from accessing the vessel.
Already there is mounting anxiety as of the time of filing this report that the vessel might disappear without trace in the dead of night.

Mrs Cynthia Okpara went to her husband's office to report him to his boss. She told her husband's boss how her husband Mr Odogwu Okpara usually squander his N60,000 salary and only gave her N30,000 for upkeep.
After her narration, the boss told her to come back on the last day of the month.
On the said day, she arrived as planned. The boss called Mr Odogwu and they all sat down in the boss' office.
The boss started,' Mr. Odogwu, your wife reported to me some days ago that you squander your salary outside and only give the family N30,000 for upkeep. So right now, I'm going to personally hand over your salaries
to her from today henceforth.'
'How much is your transportation to work daily?', the boss asked. 'N900 sir', Mr. Odogwu replied.
The boss handed over N19,800 to Mr. Odogwu. 'That should take you for 22 days'.
'Do you take breakfast at home?', the boss continued.
'No sir, I leave home very early to beat traffic jam'.
'How much do you spend on breakfast and lunch daily?' 'N500 sir',replied Mr. Odogwu. The boss handed over N11,000 to Mr. Odogwu.
'Who pays the children's school fees', the boss asked facing Mrs. Okpara. 'He does', she replied pointing at Mr. Odogwu. 'How much is the school fees and how many kids have you?' 'N30,000 per term for the two kids we have?' 'In other words, you save N10,000 monthly for each term's school fees right?'
'Yes sir', replied Mr. Odogwu.
Once again, the boss handed N10,000 to him.
'Who pays the rent and how much is it?'
'I do sir. The rent is N36,000 per annum.' Mr. Odogwu replied. 'That's N3,000 monthly right?', the boss added as he handed over N3,000 to Mr. Odogwu.
'I don't want to ask about clothings, electricity bills, etc as I know both of you might be handling that', the boss said as he handed over N16,200 to Mrs. Okpara.
'What's this for sir', Mrs. Okpara asked looking surprised. 'Money for upkeep', the boss replied her.
'But it wouldn't take us anywhere', she exclaimed.
'So why don't you appreciate the N30,000 your husband sacrifices for you monthly?', the boss asked.
The woman hugged her husband tightly and the rest is history.
Moral Lesson:
Mrs Okpara and a lot of women reading this don't know what their husbands sacrifice to put food on the table. Most times, they go hungry.
Sometimes, they swallow their pride and engage in menial and debasing jobs just so their families can eat. A lot of times, they can't even buy good clothes to wear rather they sacrifice so that their wives and kids can
get one.
A man might not tell you what he goes through to get you the cash he gives to you as telling you might make you start underrating his person but to tell you the truth, men go through a lot and need to be
appreciated....

GROW ABOVE OFFENCES

GROW ABOVE OFFENCES
GROW ABOVE OFFENCES

Maintain relationships with people.
It is childish and immature to pick offence at every provocation or perceived wrong and then start keeping grudges as a result.

Grow above it.
Someone did not invite you for their celebration(s), you pick offence with them.

Someone didn't wish you happy birthday, you pick offence with the person.

They didn't like your mindviewers post, facebook post, twitter and Instagram posts, they also did not comment, you pick offence.

They didn't support you in a disagreement you had with someone, you pick offence with them.

They are junior and they have the audacity to talk or oppose your opinion. You pick offence with them.

They said NO to your request, you pick offence and malice starts.

You asked them for money, they said they didn't have it, you pick offence with them.

You are even keeping a record of people who came around when you were grieved, so you can know who to pick offence with.

See!!!
Everyone has battles you are not aware of.
Those who you need help from are also looking for help.

Not everything is personal and intentional.
Not everyone hates you and never hate anyone.

Sometimes, people are just caught up with their own lives, struggles, human weaknesses and limitations.

Learn how to manage being disappointed by people and still be on talking terms with them. It will save you a lot of UNNECESSARY grudges and save you some Friendships you may need in future.

Grow above offences.

Happy new month
It's a new month, and we'll be stepping into a new year, thereby growing into a new age.
