And God Said (Gen 1:3)

And God Said (Gen 1:3)
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

The value of a promise is a function of the speaker of the promise. In this world, there are men and there are men. When some men talk you can go to sleep because they will honor the word even if it is at the cost of their lives. But when some other men pronounce a promise they carry no weight at all. They can renege on a promise just because it rained heavily or it was a sunny day. Our God is not like that. Proverbs 23:19 says ?God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good??

There are three things that make the word of our God of particular consequence.

First is the Ability of our God.
No one can give what he does not have. Recall the story of the exorcists who; trying to mirror the spiritual exploits of Paul in casting out demons said in Acts 19 to evil spirits ?...We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.? Interestingly, the Bible calls them ?Vagabond Jews?. By definition, vagabond means ?impostor?, not born of the presumed father. In truth, that was who they were. They were claiming the brotherhood of the Kingdom when in fact they had no identity in Heaven. Our God is not like that. By proofs again and again; by proof documented in medieval times and now, our God has proven His capacity to do what men cannot do.

A few months ago, in the ancient city of Akure, working through the hands of a young believer our God raised a popular middle aged man who was reportedly lame from birth. The capacity of our God has not reduced with time. Just as he did of old, He is still doing today.

The Integrity of God
It was Alan Kooi Simpson a United States Republican Senator representing Wyoming who served from 1979 to 1997 that said ?If you have integrity nothing else matters. When you do not have integrity nothing else matters?. The integrity of God is unquestionable. Even the integrity of those who follow in his steps is solid.

And lastly, the love of God
God speaking through the mouth of Prophet Isaiah in Isa 49:15 says ?Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.?

When I think about the love of God it makes me shiver. God sent His only begotten son to the world to die for mankind in hope that mankind would take advantage of Calvary. And I ask, what if all men reject His offer? What if no one repents? His only begotten son would have died in vain. God took a pre-emptive risk. That?s a depth of love no one can explain.

These three reasons above makes it impossible for God to fail whenever he says a thing. Paul speaking to the Roman Church says in Rom 8:32 ?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?? Dear friend, if there was anyone who knew God at close range Paul did.

As this new month unfolds I challenge you therefore to hold on strongly to what you have heard Him say to you. He is not a son of man. He cannot lie. He will bring you to an expected end.

Steps To Godly Parenting

Steps To Godly Parenting
DEVELOP A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD: (Deut. 6 vs 5:6) God wants Parents to understand that they cannot transfer to their children what they do not possess. The foundation for both great marriage and successful parenting is to love God above every other god(s)or thing(s)

MAKE THE WORD OF GOD YOUR STANDARD: God?s word is full of instruction about child?s training. It is the standard that we are to use to raise children that are God fearing.

PARENTS MUST BE ON THE SAME PAGE: If Parents are not in agreement, their children will skillfully manipulate to get their ways.

PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN: Parents must shield their children by monitoring the television programme they watch, installing filter on internet, regulating and overseeing the use of cell phones and reviewing books and materials that are used in school. Also they must safeguard their children by not allowing them to be alone with anyone they do not completely trust or know. Protection also includes training children to resist and report any improper touch.

BLESS YOUR CHILDREN: To bless your children is to speak a message that attaches high value and picture a special future for them with an active commitment as Parents to help them fulfill it. Make sure you take time to regularly bless each of your children.

PROSPERITY (Joshua 1:8)

PROSPERITY (Joshua 1:8)
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Nothing dwarfs a man more than the smallness of his own mind. Nothing incapacitates a man like the lack of vision. God speaking to Abraham in Gen 13:15 said to him ?For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever.?. Greatness happens when a people grow their capacity intentionally. Every day, opportunities stroll by unnoticed while people remain perpetually in penury. Why?
It is important to note that lasting success can never happen without an increase in capacity. Let?s call to mind the story of the Shunemite woman for a moment. Elisha had instructed go get all the vessels you can. Borrow, buy, anyhow you can increase your capacity. Why did Elisha do this? He knew that if that woman does not increase her capacity she would limit the God of increase. She knew she had vessels too little to contain God?s increase.

While it is God who enlarges and lifts a man, it is the duty of man to acquire the capacity to contain the blessings that God brings. The reason many have not received that enlargement is entirely because there is absolutely no room to take more. Jesus speaking to the disciples in John 16: 12 says ?I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now?. Can you imagine that? Jesus had a lot of revelation to give the Apostles but they lacked the capacity to bear them.

So how do you enlarge your capacity?
One, read!
Paul admonishing Timothy in the book of 2 Tim 2:15 says study ?Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth?. No one can get any approval who does not first increase the level of his knowledge of God. Joshua 1:8 says ?This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.? If you will not read and meditate on the word of God your capacity can NEVER increase and there will not be growth nor success. The Bible talks about those ?that know their God being strong and doing exploits?. ?Those that know?. Without knowledge you can?t grow. You can?t do exploits.

Secondly, who are the people that influence you?
An English adage says if you stay around long enough in the barber?s shop you will get a hair cut. A Yoruba adage says if a sheep stays around a company of dogs long enough it would eat shit. The Bible says ?Be not deceived bad communication corrupts good manners?. Please understand dear reader that glory is very easily corrupted by staying around with lay-abouts. Your capacity can never increase if your circle of friends is ?Low-life-dwellers?. Imagine, on the day that Elisha asked the Shunemite woman to go borrow vessels; if all her friends were poor people who cannot even afford a vessel. She would have missed the opportunity of her major breakthrough in life.
Today, I challenge you to be deliberate about the kinds of people that you let into your space. Screen out those who are adding no value to you and deliberately befriend people whose lives inspire you.

Lastly, pursue your goals.
If you will prosper and succeed in life, hardwork will have to be your middle name. No anointing can replace the need to work hard. Jesus was the most anointed of all men that ever lived yet he prayed so hard until his sweat was thick as blood. During his earthly ministry, he was moving from one place to another doing good and touching lives. In fact, he worked round the clock. If you will see any growth it will require that you work. Not moderate work but hard work and trust God to prosper your efforts with good success.

Happy new month.

The living man (Acts 17:28)

The living man (Acts 17:28)
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.“

It is important to differentiate breath from life! It is possible for a man to be advance in years breathing each day without actually living. Not everyone alive is living.

What exactly does it mean to live? A man cannot start living until he has found a reason to live. No man can live until that day when he finds the purpose for which God created him. To live is to move in the direction of purpose. To live is to progress every new day towards the attainment of the goals that heaven has chosen for you. If you achieve the entire world without living the design of God for you; you have wasted life. May it never be said concerning you that you lived without attaining God?s purpose for your life.

No man can find his purpose who lives outside of his maker. John 1:4 says ?In him was life; and the life was the light of men [5] And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not? Everyone who finds Christ and lives the life of Christ becomes a model of success and a reference point in relevance. Brethren, no one can prescribe the use of a drug better than its maker. After all said and done, the benchmark for scoring the success of your life would be the script that was written at creation. You will not be measured against ambition. You will not be measured against perceived competitors. Your life will be measured against the script written by God at your creation.

How does a man access the life in God? Let me remind you of two of the most priceless mysteries of Christianity.

First is the mystery of the flesh and blood. Lev. 17:11 says ?For the life of the flesh is in the blood? One of the greatest mysteries of Christianity is the mystery of the communion. To enter fully into the life of the father through the son, regular communion is a must. ?After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me? (1 Cor 11:25). Everyone that partakes regularly of the bread and the blood of Christ renews the covenant of life.

The second is the mystery of the washing of feet. Very mundane, yet powerful! Jesus, speaking to the twelve as he rounded up his apostolate offered to wash the feet of his disciples. Peter resisted ?How can my master wash my feet?? I?m sure that was his thought. But then Jesus insisted. ?Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me? (John 13:8). Jesus was demonstrating the atonement on Calvary. Whoever will not be cleansed by the blood that drips from Calvary can NEVER access the life in God!

Lastly, It is important to be ready to pay the price for a great life. Greatness never drops on the laps of men. Jesus speaking in John 9:4 says: I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. It amazes me when men live as though they had from now to eternity all to themselves. They have no urgency of time. Even if you were Methuselah you still would be limited by time. The human life is like a screen of smoke appearing now and disappearing the next moment. Give it your best. Ensure you leave this world as a champion!

Grace and Glory (Ps. 84:11)

Grace and Glory (Ps. 84:11)
For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
There are men who struggle in life for everything. They struggle to be born, they struggle to live, they struggle to go to school. They even pay through their noses in schools. They fight to get a job and wait several years before they find a mate. Nothing is ever easy for them. Look around you will find such men. Whatever they have resulted from years of toil. May be you are even one such person whose trademark is struggle. It is my sincere prayer that the God of Heaven will let you lose that trademark in Jesus? name. God never ordained a life of struggle for you. It is not God?s wish that you fail twice before you earn a degree. It is never His plan that you learn by brutal life-threatening business failures. God?s agenda for your life is “effortless success“. Please do not misunderstand me, God ordained hard work and He expects it of us but undignified, unproductive and tortuous work is never a part of His plans.

What exactly is the difference between impossibility and struggle on one hand and ease and effortless success on the other hand?- Grace; the God of Grace. In Luke 5:1-11, fruitless effort, failure, shame and reproach ended in the life of Peter immediately Jesus Christ who is grace personify stepped into his life. Shame gave way for unending glory through his relationship with Jesus Christ. A poor and unlearned Fisherman by Grace became a carrier of God′s glory with records of his name in the Scripture and even in this contemporary time, his name can still be found on monuments.
The Bible says “Then Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year a hundred fold: and the Lord blessed him“ Can you just think for a moment about that? Can you just imagine putting a thousand naira in the bank and getting hundred thousand in interest per year? That was what grace did in the life of Isaac. In a land of hardship where everyone was crying famine, he was shinning revealing God′s glory because God rewarded his labour hundred fold. You might be one such person who is thinking “How will dreams come true in this year of woes“ I have a word for you: the God of grace that did it for Isaac will yet do it again.

In operating the grace for possibilities, three things are uppermost:
  • One, you MUST never take NO for an answer. Whether it is from destiny-helpers or the devil, never take a “No“. You must know that great doors seldom open at the first knock. Elisha had to cross Jordan before he got the double portion anointing.
  • Two, you must be a man of prayers. I have not seen a greater force than the force of prayers. Christians seem to have forgotten that time changes nothing. Those who constantly record victories have mastered the use of prayers for the dismantling of spiritual strongholds. Be not ignorant, there will always be opposition to your progress.
  • Faith! In this kingdom, we operate entirely by faith. The Bible says: The just shall live by faith (Heb 10:38). Faith being the evidence of things hoped for; a believer needs to activate faith to see the real manifestation of seeming impossibilities. As we engage the combined power of faith and prayers this month of special grace, nothing shall be impossible for us in Jesus name.

Teaching your children the fear of the LORD

Teaching your children the fear of the LORD
What does the phrase “the fear of the Lord “mean? The word “fear“ is associated with terror, feeling of anxiety and agitation produced by the presence or nearness of danger, evil, pain e.t.c. This however, is not the sense in which the scripture uses the word when it talks about the fear of God. The context in which it is used in the bible implies reverence, awe and great respect. In essence, what the scripture is teaching is that we are to have deep reverence and respect for the Lord.

Literally, we are to be awed and humbled by His presence. When we fear the Lord, we live our lives in reverence for His name and His word. We will surrender our lives to Him and we will live to please God in all we do.

Not only adult are obligated to fear the Lord, children too are. Hence, you are to preach to your children to fear Him too. To do this, you must begin the following from early stage:
  • Pray for them and with them
  • Introduce them to the scriptures
  • Tell and show them the way of truth
  • Take them to church and cultivate their interest in the things of God
  • Preach the gospel of salvation to them.

  • As you prayerfully embark on this great task, the Lord will graciously save and instill His fear in your children′s lives.

Helpers of Destiny - Mark 2:1-12

Helpers of Destiny - Mark 2:1-12
God did not create any man who would not need the help of other men. Whether you are rich or poor, popular or not. To grow in life, and maintain good life, you need some help. Doesn?t it amaze you that a sick man; though being a medical doctor can hardly treat himself. A man sick of palsy needed the help of four men to get his healing from the Ultimate helper. Mark 2: 1-12.The Bible speaking of the ministry of Jesus Christ says ?How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.? Wait a minute! Did you read that? ? (Acts 10:38)...for God was with him...? It implies that Jesus would have failed if he didn?t get the help he required from God.

As important as help may be, not everyone gets help. I pray for you today dear reader that help will not be far from you in Jesus name. In the lives of many a Christian, help is scarce. Many do all that they do by themselves and on their own. They labour so hard but they only go as far as their labour could carry them. Let me tell you one truth dear friend. Hard-work is extremely important but it would be great misery if all your growth is determined by the extent of your labour. Labour alone has never prospered any man. Labour alone can never make a man amount to much. The Bible says ?...the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.? (Ecc 9:11)You can write this down: those who don?t find help don?t go far.
The question now is this: how can a man access his helper.

First, I must have you know that no man can help another man whom God has not helped. This is why some are so very close to help and then they never get help. There can?t be a better illustration of this than the life of the man by the pool of Bethesda. John 5:1-9. He had a family and a people; some of them are probably his siblings yet when Jesus asked him ?Do you want to be made whole?? he replied ?I have no man?. What he actually meant is that my relatives are all nonentity. He probably meant that my family does not care. He was probably beginning to think of himself as an orphan. Let?s face it. If you have people who can help and they don?t, isn?t it just normal to conclude that you have no people at all? That was what he did.
It was in this mess that help arose from the helper of the helpless himself. Jesus of Nazareth showed up for him. I pray for you today dear reader that when you need help the most the Almighty will arise for you. I remember the man by the name Mephibosheth (2 Sam: 9). King David had felt indebted to Jonathan his father and wanted desperately to bless him. But the challenges of life including his lameness had kept him away from the reach of men wallowing in obscurity in Lodebar. He had a waiting helper but he was not visible. David wanted desperately to help him but the forces of helplessness held him bound.

Dear reader, even when a man makes up his mind to help you if God does not enable his help he would be scarce to find. Thank God for Ziba. God used him to help the destiny of Mephiboshet. For this reason the Bible said ?Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth? (Ps 124:8). As you go out of your way seeking help this day please understand that there is only one place to look to for help and that is ?up?. Psalms 121:1-2 When you look up to God in prayer He compels men to do what they would ordinarily not do for you. They will offer help to you and still feel blessed for doing so. They will offer help to you and still feel honoured helping you. I bet you that is the kind of help that you need. It is my prayer for you as you begin in this new month, help of the helpless will be for you a very present help in the time of need.

We should run away from sin and everything that can bring Him displeasure. We should nurture our young ones to love and serve Him. We will speak of His love to the lost and dying world with so much passion that they will see Him beckoning to them through our message.

In a nutshell, the fear of the Lord is a deep seated reverence for God that makes you want to please Him at all cost.

    Way Maker (Ps: 114:1-4)

    Way Maker (Ps: 114:1-4)
When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth? The water rose and covered the mountains to a depth of more than 20 feet. Every living thing that moved on the earth perished ? birds, livestock, wild animals and all mankind. Everything on dry land that had breath of life in its nostrils died. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men, animals and birds of the air. BUT GOD REMEMBERED NOAH and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth, and the water receded. Genesis 7: 17-23; 8:1

As I read this scripture, I couldn?t help but reflect on the many storms that we often face in life: natural disasters, the storm of rejection, divorce, family problems, anger, doubt, unemployment, fear, hunger, shame, loneliness and unforgiving folks. To make matters worse, in the midst of those storms, there are the gale force winds of anxiety and the clouds of utter darkness. There is a tendency to panic, feel frustrated, overwhelmed and abandoned. You probably ask where is God? Where is that light from the lighthouse? What is taking Him so long? Why doesn?t He rescue me? Can?t He see that the 20 foot wave is about to destroy me? Why does He wait until the sickness has lingered, the bill collector is knocking, or until the money is all gone?I don?t know, but one thing is for sure, God has not forgotten you. He sees you and He cares deeply about you! Yes, He watches closely for each individual. His timing is always right and He will always do what is best.

Through him we can all find rest despite the catastrophes that harass our world.Isaiah 49: 15-16 states: ?Can a mother forget the baby at Her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands?.It is so reassuring to know that every-time God looks at His hands He sees us. God knows us by name. We are also reminded in Matthew 10:30 that the very hairs on our head are numbered! Whenever we feel alone or rejected, whenever we feel pain, we can know that God has not forgotten us and He will help us find a way out of any situation no matter how bleak the circumstances may appear. Also, let us not forget God through our storms.

Every time, I reflect on God?s goodness and how He has always taken me through past crisis, I am put to shame for every moment of doubt that creeps up. Remember, because of Jesus, everything and anything will work for good as you love God. God is not surprised by our situations!Like God did in the days of Noah, He continues to do and is about to do today. He is sending His wind over your situation so the waters may recede.

Welcome His presence and allow His anointing to saturate every crevice of your being; If you are not in His will, He is offering a new beginning to those of us who will return to him. Notice when God is at the helm how chaos quickly turns to calm.Though you hear nothing, He is speaking. Though you see nothing, He is acting. Every incident in your life is intended to bring you closer to Him. God has already made a way. Enter into His presence with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise and allow him to show you the path to HIS WAY.

Let me close with my favourite scripture that I have used for many years to minister to myself. ?So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and Help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand?. Isaiah 41: 10(NIV).

    Happy new month.

Leading Your Child To The Holy Spirit Baptism (part 2)

Leading Your Child To The Holy Spirit Baptism (part 2)
Children need God?s power more than ever, right now! So why wait until your child becomes an adult before allowing him/her enter into the fullness of God?s spirit? You can lead him/her into the experience today. How do you do that? First, model the Spirit-filled life before him/her. As you cannot lead someone where you have never been yourself, so also you cannot effectively lead your child into the baptism with the Holy Spirit experience until you receive him yourself. If you have not receive the Spirit baptism with initial evidences of speaking in tongues, now is the time to seek it.
Children learn by imitation. If you model a Spirit-filled life before your child, he/she will learn from your example. In fact, children learn better by watching your example than by listening to your words. Exhibit the extraordinary gifts of wisdom, knowledge, discernment, faith and working of miracles before your child. Let him/ her see your boldness in preaching the gospel and in everything you do as well as your fervency in prayer, then you will be an advertisement of spirit-filled life.

In addition to modeling the Spirit-filled life, set aside specific times to teach your child about the Holy Spirit and the baptism with the Holy Spirit. It is important to teach a child who the Holy Spirit is, , what he does in the life of a Christian and the benefits of being baptized with the Holy Spirit. When children are exposed to the Holy Spirit and receive answers to their question, they will desire to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

    Emerge (Isa 60:1)

    Emerge (Isa 60:1)
Many people are hidden throughout their life-time. They seem to be covered all of their days in the shadows of other men. Somehow, they are not able to escape obscurity because of circumstances that were never created by them.

Not all men shine in life. In life, not all men see glory. The Bible talks of Jabez ?Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him ′Jabez′ saying, ′Because I bore him with pain.? Now, that is real misery. How will God from heaven call the name of a man ?honour? and singularly by the proclamation of his own very mother his glory becomes entrapped. As many people who are reading this today whose destiny is glory but are living a life of misery because of the proclamation of other men; may the Almighty God change your story permanently in Jesus name.

Jabez was not alone in this misery. The book of Ecclesiastes paints a terrible scenario of some children of kings. It says ?There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: 6: Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place. 7: I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth? (Ecc 10:5-7). Now that is a misnomer, but it is the reality of many persons. As many people who are born with glory but whom the sons of strangers daily usurp your rights and privileges I pray that there will be a restoration today in the mighty name of Jesus.

The Lord; speaking through the Prophet Isaiah in Isa 60:1 gave a commandment ?Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee?. Now, this is not a plea. It is a powerful instruction. Interestingly however, the very Isaiah who was used of God to give this instruction had at a time himself been under cover. The Bible referencing him in Isa 6:1 says. It was in the year that King Uziah died that he saw the Lord. He had been born a prophet and ordained as one from his mother?s womb but here he was not being able to see a thing or even hear from God all through the dispensation of a king. I pray for everyone reading this piece, may your glory not be covered because a man is reigning.

Now, when we talk about ?emerging? we are basically talking about seeing a man shine whose glory has hitherto been hidden. When we talk about emerging we speak about making known what was hitherto unknown. Perhaps you are reading this right now and your name has never been heard beyond the lips of your family members, I am happy to tell you that the commandment to emerge is specifically for you. Starting from now, it is the wish of God that you will not be obscure.

Obscurity is a dangerous thing for anyone. If a product is obscure, it cannot sell. If a man is not known however good he is, he may struggle to get great opportunities. If a man lives in obscurity, his life is generally more difficult. Obscurity places the lid on the reach of men. I remember the man by the name Mephibosheth (2 Sam: 9). King David had felt indebted to Jonathan his father and wanted desperately to bless him but the challenges of life including his lameness had kept him away from the reach of men which made him to wallow in obscurity at Lodebar. He had a waiting helper but he was not visible. Thank God for Ziba. This is the exact reason why God is commanding you to emerge so that your helpers of destiny can more easily reach you.

Now, I need to let you know that no one can ever emerge without a fight. Have you ever seen the chick emerge from the shell before? It is always a struggle. The shell wants to hold it back. It wriggles its way out. When it is out, it is wet, frail and vulnerable. When you make the move to ?show up? expect a fight. The forces that held you down hitherto will not let you go without a fight. The prophesy over the life of Jacob had been that of ?excellent greatness?- the latter shall serve the former. The reality of his life however was misery. He had gone to the house of Laban to serve two decades and as he returned, he was about to be cheated out of his entitlement for those years. This was the circumstances of the life of Jacob until he had that famous opportunity to ?wrestle with an angel? and then his life took a glorious turn. From being a con-man, God renamed him Israel. His life was transformed. Just imagine if like when he met God for the first time at Bethel he slept through the light again. His destiny would never really have been optimally expressed.

Secondly, ?emerge? speaks of the best of you that God actually created. Perhaps, you are also like Jacob right now having just enough in Laban?s house and ideally would like to stay back in the comfort of the misleading security and provisions of a strange land. It is time to consider whether indeed this is the best that God created you to be. Now, I am not asking if you can afford three square meals or have a house and a car. That is actually subsistent living. I am asking if you are fulfilling the promise of your maker so eloquently spoken in John 10:10 ?I have come that they might have life abundantly?. Dear reader, nothing makes a man regret at the end of life more than finding that he could have been a lot more if only he stepped out of his security. The Bible speaking of the requirements for greatness in Mark 8:35 says ?Whoever would gain his life must first lose it?. That is the paradox of the emergence. People who are laid back in comfort refusing to try new things or step into uncharted waters hardly ever emerge,

Dear friend, it is your time to emerge. I believe in your capacity to emerge but you must do more than talking about your emergence. You must tarry in prayer, wrestle with some enemies of progress and step out of your comfort from obscurity into visibility.

I wish you a happy month of February.
