An Unexpected Sight

Today was a special day at church. As I was walking out, I saw a familiar face in the crowd. It was my old friend, Unique! We hadn't seen each other in three whole years. I was so excited to reunite with him.
We approached each other, I could see him trying hard to remember my name. He had this look on his face like he was searching for something in his memory. I just smiled and waited for him to figure it out.

Usually, I'm the one who tell old friends my identity and where we first met but this time, I let him try to think it in.
But after a few moments, he still couldn't remember. So, I decided to help him out. "Hey, it's me, Bright!" I said with a laugh. His face lit up, and he exclaimed, "Bright! My man! It's so great to see you!"

We started catching up — talked about our lives, our families and school. It felt like no time had passed at all after so long.
But unfortunately, our reunion was cut short. Unique had to head back to Enugu for his business. We exchanged numbers and promised to stay in touch this time. No more three-year gaps!

We said our goodbyes, and I watched as he was driven away in a tricycle. I felt grateful for the chance to reconnect with my friend. It was a beautiful confirmation that true friendships can withstand time and distance.
