TOPIC: NO MORE DELAY

SCRIPTURE: The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. JOHN 3:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You don’t belong to the generation of the stagnated; delay is not a part of your life.

Our anchor Scripture tells us something interesting about the child of God who is born again. To be born again is to be born of the Spirit, and according to our anchor Scripture, anyone who is born of the Spirit is like the wind.

Now, a major attribute of the wind is speed, incredible speed. The wind has effortless, frictionless speed. There is no surface that reduces or resists the speed of wind. This is the reason why the wind can uproot trees.
The wind can move up to five hundred miles per hour.

Beloved, as a born-again child of God, you are supposed to operate like the wind. You don’t belong to the generation of the stagnated; delay is not a part of your life.

You are not meant to be quarantined on the same spot for years.

From our experiences in life, it is apparent that God helped us with speed, both spiritually and physically.

My wife became a doctor at 21 years and six months of age, treating and managing people.

When we got married, she was not yet 24. And I was a little bit ahead of such age, like two years.

Still at relatively young age, we were already in Ministry, making explosive impact by the grace of God. I was around 28 years then.
During the first anniversary of our Ministry, there were six canopies outside the venue as overflows.

In the second anniversary, journalists came to interview us and asked, “Can you tell us the secret of your success in Ministry?”
I told them, “At age two? We have not yet started. When we start, we will let you know.”

I am not saying this to intimidate you, but to make you get angry and move ahead with speed.

At age 40, Papa Bishop Oyedepo’s first Ministry aircraft was already flying in this nation. God gave him speed. We have a lineage of speed. We have a heritage of speed.

Today, I decree that speed in life and in ministry shall be your portion, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: You don’t belong to the generation of the stagnated; delay is not a part of your life.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Refuse to accept the lifestyle of stagnation and delay.
2. Ask God for unusual speed in every aspect of your life – academic pursuit, career, business, marriage, ministry, etc.

PRAYER: Lord, I curse every spell of delay and stagnation in my life. I ask for the impartation of the unction for unusual speed in life and destiny, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: FROM DISCOVERY TO DISTINCTION

SCRIPTURE: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Discovery determines distinction.

Scriptural revelation is critical to life and destiny fulfilment. Discovery from Scriptures is a force that powers destiny fulfilment.

What is revealed to you out of the Word of God determines what you see out of life. Discovery determines delivery. The discovery we make out of the Word of God determines the delivery we take out of life.

Discovery also determines deliverance.
John 8:32 says,
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

What you discover from the word determines the deliverance you experience in life. If there is an area of your life where the enemy seems to hold captive, it is because there is a discovery you need to make in that area.
Furthermore, discovery also determines distinction.

For example, what makes great men of God different from their contemporaries is their level of discovery. What makes two people called of God into Ministry at the same time to be different from one another in impact is their level of revelation or discovery from the Word of God.

Isaiah 60:1 says,
Arise, shine for your light is come.

This means, until light comes, you cannot shine. It is light that sponsors shining. What sets you apart from the rest is not your title; it is your light.

One day, Jesus asked His disciples the question: Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
Matthew 16:13
They gave different answers. Some said He was Elijah, while others said He was Jeremiah.

But Peter said, “Thou are the Christ, the son of the living God.”

After this, Jesus said to Peter, “Blessed are you Peter, out of the twelve disciples, I set you apart. Blessed at thou for flesh and blood has not revealed this unto you.” (Matthew 16:17, paraphrased)
You see, if it is revealed to you, then you are set apart from the rest.

Beloved, what will set you apart in a world that is plagued with setbacks and calamities is the light you access from the Word of God.

Remember this: Discovery determines distinction.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. By all means, pay the price to access light from the Word of God.
2. Give time to the study of God’s Word regularly.

TOPIC: LIVING AS A SIGN AND WONDER

SCRIPTURE: Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. ISAIAH 8:18.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You were created to be a sign and a wonder to your world.

It has been confirmed that as a child of God, you are meant to be a mystery to your world.
You were created to be a sign and a wonder to your world. People are meant to do research about your life if you are living correctly. Truth is, if everything about your life can be easily understood by people, then something is wrong. If everything about your results can be easily explained, then you are too ordinary.

One day, I was in the house doing something with a razor blade and I mistakenly had my hand cut. Blood gushed out and I was trying to clean the blood stains. When one of my daughters saw the blood, she opened her mouth wide in utter amazement.

I asked her, “What is it? What is the problem?”
She said, “So, you are like us!”

I could never recover from that statement.
I asked her, “What do you mean by that?”

When my children were growing up, they would ask me all kinds of questions. They would ask me to do many things for them at the same time.

One of them would say, “Daddy, please wake me up by 2 am, I have an assignment.”

Another one would say, “Daddy, please wake me up by 3 am.”

Then another one would also say, “Daddy, I have an assignment; please wake me up by 4 AM.
Wake me up by 4 AM.”
So, in their mind, I don’t sleep at all. Four of them could give me four different times to wake them up.

Beloved, what I want you to understand is that in your world and in your generation, there should be something about your life that cannot be explained.

Remember this: You were created to be a sign and a wonder to your world.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. You must convince yourself that you are meant to live as a sign and wonder to your world.
2. Reject ordinary existence and living.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You make me a sign and wonder to my world. Deliver me from obscure and ordinary existence, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

SCRIPTURE: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. Daniel1:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The best of your gifts, grace and potentials are released when you maintain godly character.

Godly character is key to the release of human potentials. Your best comes out when your character is godly. The best of your gifts, grace and potentials are released when you maintain godly character.

In Jeremiah 15:19, God told Jeremiah,
If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.

That is to say, “If you will separate rubbish from reality, if you will separate nonsense from sense, you will stand before me, and you shall be my mouthpiece.”

God seems to say, “You will become what I want you to become if only you can remove filthy things from your life.”

You know, it is only when you refine crude oil that you can get petrol (PMS), gas, kerosene and other petroleum products.

Beloved, your potential is enormous but until it is refined, it remains crude.

This is how it is in life. If the little lies, stealing, exaggeration, obsession with money, etc. can be removed from your life, you can become the mouthpiece of God. God will use you in ways that will amaze you if you maintain a lifestyle of purity and uprightness.

Daniel1:8 says,
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

And because Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself, he walked in the realms of unusual potentials deployment. He was the head of academicians, politicians and magicians in Babylon.

Beloved, do not entertain any form of ungodly lifestyle.

Remember this: The best of your gifts, grace and potentials are released when you maintain godly character.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Ask God to remove from you, anything that is a hindrance to the release of your inherent potentials.
2. Make up your mind to maintain a lifestyle of godliness and uprightness.

TOPIC: WHO HAS POSSESSED YOUR LIFE?

SCRIPTURE: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. Matthew 7:16-17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God cannot possess you if you are living in sin and iniquity.

We once prayed for a girl in one of our Sunday services many years ago. Looking at this girl’s physique, she appeared like a boy but she was not.
She was just eleven years old, but at that age, she was already the second in command in the witchcraft world.
This girl made shocking confessions. She confessed that she killed her sister who lived abroad through witchcraft practices because according to her, the sister refused to send money to her.
She scattered the marriage of her parents by making her mother to run away from her father’s house.
She killed another sibling of hers, this time, her brother who lived in Nigeria.
She also paralysed her own father.
So, this possessed girl was eventually brought to Abuja and started working as a nanny, taking care of a new born baby for a family. In fact, the baby survived her witchcraft just by the mercy of God.
When the man of the house in Abuja discovered her witchcraft practices, he put a copy of our daily devotional, “The Seeds of Destiny” on her head and anointed her. Almost immediately, the girl became restless and began to confess her witchcraft activities.
On one of the nights, she went out in the spirit for her witchcraft meetings, and as she returned, she landed on the roof of the house physically.
The man removed the chains and chaplet on her neck and set them on fire, they refused to burn initially. But as they persisted and the items started burning, they turned to a snake. This happened physically. I am not narrating a movie scene or fiction story.
You see, this girl did all kinds of wickedness because she was possessed with the spirit of witchcraft.

The question for you to ponder is, who has possessed you?
What has possessed your life? Has any negative habit taken over your life?
What spirit is in you, the Spirit of God or the devil?
Who is living in you?

The answer to all these questions is simple. We know who is living in you by what you do, because by their fruit you shall know them (Matthew 7:16). God cannot possess you if you are living in sin and iniquity.

Remember this: God cannot possess you if you are living in sin and iniquity.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Examine your life again and know who is living in you.
2. Reject and nullify every activity of darkness and of the devil in your life.
3. Ask God to possess your life with the Holy Spirit manifesting the fruit, life and character of the Spirit through you.

PRAYER: Lord, I renounce any negative spirit in me. I decree that I am delivered by the Blood of Jesus Christ. I ask that You possess me with Your Spirit, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You must discover God’s Purpose for your life and align yourself to it for your life to count on earth.

In life, the best thing that can happen to a person is knowing and living in the purpose of God for their life. This is because the force of vision is a pathway to the realization of destiny. Vision is necessary for greatness in life and destiny.

Beloved, please understand that it is God who decides man’s purpose, but it is the duty of man to discover the purpose. What you are to do with your life is not your decision; rather, it is your discovery. It is your duty to discover your purpose and align yourself to the purpose.

And until you come to a point where your purpose in life is clear to you, you are possibly wasting your life.

You must discover God’s Purpose for your life and align yourself with it for your life to count on earth.

For example, I was trained to be a medical doctor, and to the glory of God, I never failed any of my medical courses.
But when I graduated from the university and became a doctor, God told me, “I have another assignment for you. I want you to impart your generation with my Word. So, surrender your medical equipment and certificate and let me send you to the world.” (Paraphrased, Implied)

And when I obeyed God and aligned myself to his Purpose for my life, I have never had and will never have any regret at all. If I had continued in the medical practice without answering God’s call to be a preacher of the Word, people may be clapping for me as a successful medical doctor, but at the end of the journey, God would look at me and say, “You failed because you didn’t fulfil my assignment for your life.” That will not be your portion, in Jesus’ Name.

Beloved, make up your mind to align yourself with the Purpose of God for your life.

Remember this: You must discover God’s Purpose for your life and align yourself to it for your life to count on earth.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Make up your mind to discover God’s Purpose for your life and align yourself with it.
2. Be committed and devoted to fulfilling your Purpose on earth. Make full proof of your calling.

SCRIPTURE: Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:10 (NIV).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your worth in life is measured by your positive contribution to the people in your life.

John Wesley was a great man of God who impacted his generation in his time. The world has not recovered from the impact of his life and ministry till date.

He was the founder of the Methodist Church that has spread everywhere across the world today. In his life time, he once preached to about 30,000 people in a single gathering. Imagine commanding such a huge a crowd at that time!

He travelled on horseback, and he rode on horseback cumulatively for 250,000 miles in his days preaching the gospel. That was equal to going round the equator 6 times.

He preached more than 40, 000 sermons in his lifetime. His daily schedule involved waking up every morning by 4 am, and sleeping by 10 pm in the night. And this continued for more than 60 years of his life. He preached an average of two to three messages every day. He was such a restless, brutal man.

However, he had a challenge; it was the challenge of marital disharmony. His wife was a thorn in his flesh.

One day, while he was praying, his wife held and pulled his hair to distract him from praying. The woman did a lot of things to distract his focus but he refused to be distracted.

Towards the end of his life, she apologized to him saying, “I’m sorry for all I did to you.”
John Wesley responded, “If both of us were to live together again for 100 years, you cannot undo what you have done.”

Beloved, the question to answer is, Are you a burden or a blessing to people around you?

Is your impact on your spouse and family negative or positive?

Have you helped or hurt your spouse?

Have you upgraded your spouse or you devalued them?

As a parent, what is your impact on your children?
And as a child, have you brought a bad name or good name to your parents?
Are your parents proud of you because of your lifestyle?

Beloved, your worth in life is measured by your positive contribution to the people around your life.

Remember this: Your worth in life is measured by your positive contribution to the people around your life.

ASSIGNMENT:
1. Ask yourself: Am I a blessing or a burden?
2. If you have been a burden or a negative influence to the people of your life, make up your mind to repent today, apologize to them and correct any negative contribution you have made in their lives quickly.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You help me to be a blessing to the people of my life. Deliver me from falling into the temptation of being a torn in their flesh Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: FIGHTING YOUR WAY TO THE TOP

SCRIPTURE: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is no future without a fight, no flight without a fight.

It takes the engagement of forces to fulfil destiny. One of the forces required to fulfil destiny is the force of a fighting spirit. There is no future without a fight, no flight without a fight.

Some time ago, I sat by an aircraft engineer in an aircraft, and asked him a question, “What makes an aircraft to fly?”

This was what he told me: “There are four forces that are involved in a flight.

There is a force that pushes it forward which is called the thrust. There is another force that takes it up, and it is called the Lift. There is a force that tries to push it backward like the wind. This force is called the drag. And there is a force that tries to bring it down and it is called gravity.”

He continued, “For an aircraft to fly, the thrust must overcome the drag, and the lift must overcome the gravity. And when the thrust overcomes the drag and the lift overcomes the gravity, then, there is flight.”

In life, there may be forces around your life trying to push you backward and there are forces around your destiny trying to push you down; you must make up your mind to overcome these forces in order to fulfil destiny.

You must refuse to be stopped by any force in life in your journey of destiny.

Matthew 11:12 says,
And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
You need a degree of “ruggedity” to fulfil destiny.

You need audacity to maintain authority in the realm of the spirit. If you give room to timidity, you settle for a lifetime of adversity. Make up your mind never to give up, give in, or give out.
Decide to persist until you prevail and succeed.
Remember this: There is no future without a fight, no flight without a fight.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Refuse to be timid in life.

2. Move with a fighting spirit and take what belongs to you by the force of the Spirit

PRAYER: Lord, I refuse to be timid in life. I receive the fighter’s spirit to take my destiny by force, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: ARROGANCE – THE HINDRANCE TO DIVINE DIRECTION

SCRIPTURE: When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. Proverbs 11:2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Pride makes people too arrogant to be instructed.

I had an experience many years ago, when we were about to go into full time Ministry.

I went to see a man of God in another town to show him the vision I got about the ministry. A pastor, who was in Abuja at that time, also went to visit the same man of God that I went to see.

Now, while I was telling the older man of God about my vision, this other pastor began to say to me in the presence of the older man of God, “Abuja already has enough churches. Look at this church, they have many branches in Abuja. Look at this other one, they also have many branches.”

Then the older man of God said to him, “Is he talking to you? Are you the one he came to see? Leave him alone.”

After this, I came back to Abuja and the ministry commenced. After a while, God gave us great explosion. Then one day, the same man who said that Abuja already had enough churches came to see me in the office.

He said to me, “We thank God for what He is doing in your Ministry.

Please, what is the secret of church growth?”

I wanted to answer his question, but before I could say a word, he interrupted, “I know there is a need for a solid prayer life and the study of the Word.” He began to answer the question he asked. When he was done talking, I told him, “You know it all! There is no need to say anything again. So, go ahead and do what you know.”

It was obvious that he only came to show off what he thought he knew and not to learn.

You see, pride makes people too arrogant to be instructed. There are people who are dying in silence because they feel they are too big to ask questions.

My counsel is, humble yourself and ask both God and the right people questions when necessary. This is how to make progress in life because no one knows it all.

Remember this: Pride makes people too arrogant to be instructed.

ASSIGNMENT
1. Humble yourself before both God and the right people to get the right instruction.
2. Adjust your mind to learn from anything and anybody God would choose to use including small children.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your Word to me today. I ask for the grace to resist the temptation of being too arrogant to be instructed. Help me to learn from everything and everyone, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
