It's been a few months now, and I've been running around with my course supervisor, trying to find the best topic to present for my project defense. At first, it felt a bit hopeless. Most days, I left our meetings feeling like we hadn’t made any progress at all. I thought today would be just like the other regular day where we wouldn’t come up with anything good.

But then, something amazing happened...
.. My supervisor gave me the chance to pick a topic that I really liked, one that I thought would be fun to work on. I explained how perfect it would be for me. But at first, he didn’t agree. He said it seemed too easy and that I might need something more challenging.

Today, though, I decided to think about it differently. I added some more details to make the topic look more complex and interesting, just some twists here and there. When I presented my ideas to him again, he finally chose my topic.
I couldn't believe it, it came as a shock. Immediately I started telling some of my friends about it and how they could help me with research and ideas.
It's going to be a busy week.

decided to get a mackintosh for my bed. I didn't have any particular problem, but sometimes when I removed my bed sheet to wash it, I would accidentally stain the bed itself. This really irritated me because I didn’t know how to wash the original fabric used to make the bed.

So, I thought that making a mackintosh would be a good solution. I measured the sizes I needed and took it to a tailor last week to start the work.

After I retrieved the finished work yestraday, I tried to insert my bed into the mackintosh, but it wouldn’t fit. I had took the proper measurements, but clearly, I must have made a mistake somewhere or the tailor was trying to conserve the material.
On top of that, I was frustrated about the price I had to pay for this. The tailor had raised the prices of everything, blaming it on the economy. I ended up paying about 12,000 Naira for the material, while usually, it wouldn’t cost more than 8,000 Naira no matter how big the bed is. And my bed wasn’t even that big, just a standard 6 x 5 size.

But it's okay. I’ve already contacted the tailor, and I’ll be taking it back tomorrow to get it fixed. Hopefully, it will work out as I planned.

I was just enjoying my own time going about my today's activities after washing my clothes. When I was done washing, I dived into my phone and started playing some soccer games. I connected with an online friend to battle and guess what? I came in second place! I don’t like to say I lost, so I prefer to say I came second. My friend beat me, and it was so funny because I had already boasted about how I was going to win before the game even started.

As evening set in, two of my female friends, who I wasn’t very close with, showed up. One of them was celebrating her birthday.
It’s funny because the one who was celebrating her birthday is the same one they often call my wife at school. I was not exlecting to see her after I posted her on my status and sent her a private heartwarming message.

They pulled me out of my comfort zone and insisted that I buy some suya meat for them. I wasn’t really planning to be a host, but that’s how I ended up spending money I didn’t have.

I was determined to be serious in school today so I woke up early and got to school by 8:00 AM. I was so eager to make a difference today because we had a class that was supposed to start at 8:30 AM. I thought I would be very serious and ready to learn.

When I got to our classroom, I saw many of my friends outside. They looked confused. I joined them and found out that some students in 200-level were using our classroom! We all had to wait outside because they were not done yet.

I waited and waited with my friends. The time for our class came, but our lecturer did not come. We looked at the clock, and it was already 8:40 AM, but our lecturer was still missing and we didn’t know what to do standing outside the classroom worried.

After a long time, some of my friends went to ask what was happening. They came back and told us that our teacher was not coming today. She didn’t even tell us! We all felt sad because we wanted to learn something new.
The way my mood changed!
How my morning was wasted, it was just plainly disappointing.
