I am someone very conscious of the kind of soap that I use to take my bath. I’ve realized that some soaps, which I used while growing up, had a noticeable effect on my skin and even on my entire mood for the day. At around 18 years old, I decided to stick with a particular soap that has been good to me: Eva soap.

The other soaps I tried always led to either a skin reaction or inexplicable mood swings that I couldn't quite understand or explain scientifically. That's just the way it is for me. Soaps like Ivory soap, Imperial Leather soap, Premium soap, and Hawaii soap, despite their pleasant scents, cause irritation and rashes on my skin.

I went to my friend's place about a week ago, and while I was there, I noticed the super pack of soap that he had bought. The name of the soap was Premier Cool. I looked at it and admired its features. I examined the ingredients used in making it, and they all seemed simple, so I decided to take a piece of the bath soap and bring it home with me.

After I tried the soap and used it for my bath, I found that it was actually great! I really enjoyed the menthol or, should I say, mint scent that it left on my body. The sensation was out of this world. I used it on a sunny day, and after my bath, I felt cold and refreshed. It was just so awesome! However, I did worry about possible skin reactions.

After taking my bath, I went to bed. The next morning, I woke up and checked my body and fortunately there was no rashes.
Premier cool is cheaper and under this our current capsizing economy, cheaper things takes up first place.

Aftershocks I traveled from my hometown to school, I made a decision to avoid the local food around the area. I had heard stories about the negative repercussions of eating it, and my previous experiences told me it didn’t sit well with me. However, I noticed some of my colleagues, who also came from the outskirts of the community, enjoying their local meals and claiming how delicious they were. It was evident they were genuinely savoring every bite, but I remained hesitant, particularly about trying Okpa that was exceptionally popular in the region.

One fateful day, a neighbor cooked Okpa and brought some over for us to share. The aroma traveled through the air, making it impossible for me to resist. That day, I decided to finally give it a try. I took my first bite, and I must admit, it was incredible. The texture and flavor were unlike anything I had experienced before, and before I knew it, I found myself eating more than everyone else at the table.

But as the night wore on, I began to feel uneasy. I couldn’t shake the growing discomfort in my stomach. The satisfaction of trying something new quickly turned into anxiety and restlessness.

I'm usually a very quiet person, a calm person, and everyone around me knew this. But today, something happened in our WhatsApp group that completely changed the atmosphere. Someone posted that we had to pay an extra 3,000 Naira after we had already paid 5,000 Naira for the month's NEPA bills. Electricity bills shouldn’t consume our salaries, but it seemed like this latest charge was digging far deeper into our pockets than we had anticipated.

When I saw the message from our gatekeeper, it ignited a frustrated fire within me that I hadn’t experienced before. I quickly vented out my feelings and told him that we weren't going to pay anything more. I knew I sounded a little rough, but I didn’t intend to be rude. However, to my surprise, he responded with a very rude text that I did not take lightly.

After he responded very rudely to my text, I didn’t relent. I vented out all the errors he had been dismissing in the group chat and pointed out his nonchalant attitude. I highlighted how untrustworthy he had become, expressing my disappointment that he could just come in and drop a critical message, treating us as though we were fools easily just followed his instructions, no matter how ridiculous they were.

To my surprise, many members of the group rallied behind me, expressing their frustrations too. The atmosphere became charged with a sense of unity as we all voiced our discontent. Later this evening, he sent me a direct message, apologizing for his earlier response. But deep down, I felt that the right approach would have been for him to address the entire group.
