It was two teddies on my palms after I unboxed my Christmas packages. My Dad had presented me we the gifts on Christmas day and thought it felt like I fought a war exercising patience till the next day.

The first was pink, and the second was a mix of black and brown. It was my size and I imagined how much I would enjoy the warmth of these soft stuffed structures on my bed at night and how I would play and show them off to my friends.

I woke later at night after falling asleep while playing with my teddies.
I remember leaving the two teddies on my bed, but now, one lay on the table.
I tried to recall if I had misplaced thoughts, but no, I was sure I slept off while playing with them two.

I let out a scream and my dad came into my room. We discussed it and he had them removed, I'll only play with them during the daytime.

We have heard stories about all these dolls and resides, on how they developed mystical powers at night and sucked blood, but we're always swift to brush it behind until the incident.

The next day, my mum gathered all the teddies and heaped them outside the compound.
I stood and watched what her plans were,
I care less though.
She emerged with a half-filled bottle of an unknown fluid and a lighter, the next minute, the head turned to a pile of smoke.

At each illuminated area I approached, I regained my confidence and composure, my strength. The strength which leaves with the brightness.

After I realized what made the sound, I started off running and I heard footsteps running behind me too. I was muttering words of prayer and threw my legs as far as I could but I was caught, whoever or whatever that was chasing me must have taken a shortcut and emerged in front of me because I ran into a black blindfold.

I was able to maneuver them, dragging the blindfold from my face still running.
At last I flung the door to my room open, scampered in and locked.

After I got my strength back, I gazed at the blindfold on my hand and it was a black nylon. Did I really see any figure?
The wind blew light objects around then and I must have ran into...

This evening, someone approached me to help him and I did expecting zero return, to my surprise, he asked for my bank details, he sent 1% of 1Million Naira 😹

"I was not aware that she had been hypnotized", she answered as I queried.

Just last week, a friend cried to me, relaying how she had lost her phone.

It was on a Tuesday Evening, she started; I was tired from the long journey of returning from home to school and naturally, I had laid to rest on my hostel bed. About an hour later or extra, my hostel mate entered and requested that she made a call with my device. I thought it important and urgent, so I handed it over to her.
She walked in few minutes later in tears and without my phone. I was so confused that I almost scampered, but my phone.
I drew her close to me and asked she calmed down and revealed the reason for the sudden cry. And to my surprise, dismay and disappointment, she narrated how she met and talked with two strangers and after what seemed like she was under a voodoo influence, she was made to transfer all her cash to them, and after that, she was also manipulated to get her roommate's (my friend) phone too.

It's that time of the year when the whole world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ. A day which is spent in merry making and wishing your loved ones, Christmas also happens to be the last festival of the year. Something happened that I witnessed a pastor praying for someone and the person fell and stopped breathing as a result of the place he fell on,,,,so people around started shouting saying all sorts of things the pastor prayed for hour before the person finally wokeup the pastor too was shocked everyone ran away it got me thinking what if the person never wokeup?? Anyways we thank God for his intervention
