The impotent man(True life stories)

There is this sister in church who has an issue in her marriage and is asking for advice on what to do. She and her husband dated for 4 years plus and within these 4 years dating, there was no sex or romance involved, not because she didn't want, but because the date then ,who has become the husband now, said there will be no sex or romance in the cause of them dating ,until after their marriage since they are both committed Christian in Church
The lady gladly accepted, thinking she has gotten the perfect gentle man. Along the line, the got wedded last 3 months, after 4 years plus dating. Then , the most painful revelation happened on that night, when couples are supposed to do the do in the other room and then the lady found out the the husband is impotent, meaning his manhood doesn't get effect nor function. It was at this point the man apologized for not informing her all along in the course of their 4 years relationship. The no sex and romance stand of the man wasn't because of his purity but because he was hidding his weakness from his partner. Now the lady is devastated and confused. The marriage is just barely 3 months and she is asking for advice on what to do at this point. Should she divorce him? Or continue in the marriage? Having found out that the man deceived her all along? What's your advice or opinions for this worried lady?

Reunited with Family

Two years had passed since I last saw my little friends, and anticipation bubbled within me as I arrived at their home. Oddly quiet, the house hinted at an absence. I learned they hadn't returned from church yet. Patiently, I explored the familiar compound, each corner holding memories of our shared laughter.

An hour later, their bike honked outside, there they were—my little friends, their faces lighting up with surprise and joy. Their mother, equally thrilled, welcomed me warmly. We exchanged stories of the time apart, catching up on the nuances of life.

Amidst the laughter and chatter, I handed over the carefully chosen gifts. The children's eyes widened in delight as they unwrapped the surprises.

Their mother, expressing gratitude, invited me in for a cup of water at least. We lingered in conversation, reliving old memories and creating new ones. It felt like time had paused, allowing us to enjoy the precious moments together.

As the day unfolded, we decided it was the perfect opportunity for the kids to spend their holidays with me. The prospect of adventures and shared experiences lit up their faces, and with their mother's blessing, we embarked on a journey to create more cherished memories during the holidays.

Snow in my community

The morning was greeted by extreme cold that sent chills to the spine.
While the liver battled to keep warm the border, while teeth continued clittering, the wooshing sound of freezing wind intensified.

"what a good way to begin a day", I said to myself as I cuddled and snuggled up to my pillow.
Aware that I should have been on some house chores already by the time, but it was snowing outside and my limb, I know, would fail me. All part of me wanted to stay resting on the warming bed.

"where is Nzube?"
I heard my Dad ask from the living room and instantly, the sleeping spell fell off my eyes.
I was still on the process of completing bed dress when two blows landed on my bum.
She looked with her innocent eyes deep onto my brains and spoke,
"brother Nzube put on your sweater, it's cold"
I couldn't help but smile at my little niece while I rubbed my bum.

Harmattan Laziness

Collapsing onto my bed, I relaxed every muscle I could, it had been a long productive day of hastily reading for approaching exams. Where did my drive go? Last paper syndrome has grabbed me on the neck vowing to deal with my unbroken daily reading streak.

I reached out for a cup of water, gulping down slowly to relieve my parched throat, I've been more dehydrated than ever this season.
The room was dimly lit, and the silence of the night enveloped me. With each sip of water, I pondered the journey that led me to this point. The countless hours spent poring over textbooks, the late-night study sessions, and the determination that fueled my unbroken daily reading streak—all building up to this final moment.

The weight of fatigue and the anticipation of the upcoming exam mingled in the air. I couldn't deny that the drive that once pushed me forward had begun to dwindle. The last paper syndrome had a way of sapping the remaining energy, leaving a mix of exhaustion and nervous anticipation.

Glancing at the clock, I realized the late hour. Tomorrow held the promise of relief, the end of exams, and the beginning of a well-deserved break. With a deep breath, I decided to confront the last paper syndrome head-on. I revisited my notes, not out of anxiety but as a reminder of the knowledge I had gained. Each page turned was a testament to my efforts, a testament to the discipline that had guided my daily routine.

Tomorrow would come, and with it, the last paper. The drive that seemed elusive now would resurface, fueled by the desire to finish strong. I closed my eyes, ready to face the challenge, trusting that the discipline and determination that carried me through the semester would not falter on the last stretch.

The Season is Near

In the midst of the cool harmattan breeze that wrapped our environment in a cozy embrace, I found myself eagerly awaiting Christmas. The air was filled with a unique blend of holiday excitement and the refreshing chill that only the harmattan season brings.
Christmas, my favorite time of the year, was even more nostalgic with the enchanting touch of the harmattan.

Yesterday, I was set for a karaoke service at Church which I had took time to prepare ahead of it. Days were spent creating the perfect gift list for my pair as we had to present gifts to each other. Finally, it arrived, the gifts were ready, packaged in an adorable bag, I included a warm letter to round it off.

Venturing into the heart of the town, I began my journey to church about 20 minutes walk. My heart leapt continuously in excitement with the thought of receiving a gift from my pair. Immediately, I arrived, my pair handed over her gift to me with a friendly smile — it was a watch, she stated she would be leaving for an interview. It was nothing close to my expectation but the joy of the season overwhelmed my heart as I received the gift.

Finally I presented my gift to the owner and vanished instantly to resume projecting. As she read the heartfelt message inside, her eyes lit up, and in that moment, my simple gesture brought a dose of Christmas magic to someone who needed it. She couldn't contain her joy and rushed to hug me, such a genuine, warm and grateful hug could only leave me gladdened.
My small act of kindness had a ripple effect, inspiring others who read the letter, to share in the joy of the season.

Surrounded by friends and family I had found in Church, I felt the true magic of Christmas – a perfect blend of love, kindness, and the enchanting embrace of the harmattan.

𝖱𝖮𝖴𝖦𝖧 𝖶𝖤𝖤𝖪: Truckload of tasks

With a tired but satisfied sigh, I dropped my bag at the door and stared at it for a while, it has been my perfect companion for 3 years, accommodating the things that became too heavy for me to hold. A little fight and I was able to disentangle the door key from a tiny stubborn rope that had kept it hostage for 3 hours.

I opened the door smoothly and dropped to my bed, smiling once again over the exam, quickly I muttered a prayer of thanksgiving, it was worth the efforts but I believed more in the final will of the Sovereign One.

My memory drifted away to memories about how last week was spent struggling with blackout and preparing for quiz and exams, the daytime became my only battlefield and nighttime for retreat, engulfed by the darkness it brought, there weren't many options than hoping the morning arrived faster.

While searching for the PDFs to read, my mind picked out one and I started, slowed down by battery outage, it took me 3 days to make it to the 36th page. I was disappointed in this poor milestone, 'I expected to complete 25 each day but maybe, the whole fault was from this electric company' I resolved and picked up my bag to go home, yet another day I had to retreat for the night with a fully charged device. Three days to quiz, and 5 days to exam, I'll surely catch up with time ⚡

The first Sunday in December

The first Sunday in December
I went to church today feeling excited and hopeful. As I listened to the priest's words, I felt blessed and inspired.

When I got back home, something inside me urged me to try something new. Instead of the usual rice, I decided to prepare soup. It felt like an adventure in my small kitchen.

I gathered all the ingredients, chopping the vegetables and adding them to the pot. The aroma began to fill the air, making me even more eager to taste the final result.

After a while, the soup was ready. I carefully poured it into bowls and took a small sip. It was heavenly! The flavors danced on my tongue, and I couldn't help but smile.

Just as I was enjoying the soup, two of my dear friends showed up at my door. They could smell the delicious aroma from outside. Curiosity piqued their interest, and they asked for a taste.

As they savored the soup, their eyes widened with delight. They immediately pleaded with me to reveal my secret recipe. They wanted to experience this deliciousness themselves.

Seeing the joy on their faces, I couldn't resist sharing my recipe. We spent the rest of the evening talking, laughing, and enjoying the soup together.

The Hidden Pieces

The Hidden Pieces
In the quiet corridors of my childhood school, where the distant echoes of laughter were replaced by hushed whispers, I found myself drawn to a solitary figure engaged in a silent game of chess. The woman, her face concealed behind a mask, sat focused on the intricacies of the chessboard.

Intrigued by the enigma of the moment, I approached, the soft echo of my footsteps blending with the ambient environment. As I reached the table, she looked up, and even though her features were obscured, I felt a familiarity in the depth of her gaze. Without a word spoken, I took a seat across from her.

The chess pieces moved gracefully under her adept fingers, each strategic placement revealing a profound understanding of the game. As the pieces danced across the board, I couldn't shake the feeling that this encounter held a significance beyond the chess game itself.

In a voice muffled by the mask, she spoke, addressing me by name. A shiver of recognition passed through me as she revealed an unexpected knowledge of my life, a depth of understanding that transcended the ordinary. Questions lingered in my mind, but before they could find voice, she motioned for me to play, the board was obscure despite being before me, plunging my logic into quandary.

And then, with the suddenness characteristic of dreams, I awoke. The school corridors and the chessboard faded, leaving behind a residue of intrigue and a lingering sense of connection. I checked my phone, it was 3.22am, I've not played chess for a week because of my exams. I sat up, pondering over the meaning of this dream till dawn.

Dance with a Scorpion 2

Dance with a Scorpion 2
My hand shook at each strike. The muscular insect or whatsoever it is still charged at me with its sharp tail set and ready to inject me again with its toxins if I should come closer.

I had struck it to coma when I lifted it with a tissue paper and headed towards the kitchen.
I was going to teach the muscular man how to keep boundaries.
I felt uneasyness at the spot that it had stung me as I placed the specimen carefully on my gas burner.

Carefully, I turned loose the handle of the gas cooker and watched as the scorpion reacted to the hushing sound of the gas escaping the noozle of the cylinder.

Slowly, I moved my lighter closer, and with a click, I got the scorpion dancing to all directions.
I allowed the barbeque burn to dryness before I picked and tossed it outside for the birds.

THE SACRIFICE

Chapter 1

I don't feel like eating that disgusting food, why will you even want to feed me with poison? Sophie asked her younger sister who was turning semovita in the kitchen

I won't force you eat Sophie but please leave my kitchen in peace.. Geraldine replied

Have you forgotten that I came into this house before you? This kitchen belongs to me... Sophie barked

I have respected you enough.. Geraldine said and left the kitchen

Sophie looked at her younger sister and sighed, she opened the pot of soup and sighed
She looked around but didn't see anyone, she added a large quantity of pepper to the soup and stirred it, she looked around again and didn't see anyone she added salt to the soup, covered it and sneaked out

Geraldine came in, she opened her pot and stared at the soup she nodded at transferred the soup to another pot
She served her husband with Sophie's soup

Jesus! Sophie's husband screamed as his lips burnt

What is it? Sophie asked looking at her husband

My tongue,my lips, everything is burning...he cried

Sophie tasted the soup and screamed, she rushed to meet Geraldine who was preparing for work
She gave her a resounding slap that led her to the floor

Why did you serve my husband with that nonsense huh? Are you insane? Sophie screamed

Geraldine held her cheek and smiled

Your husband asked me to give him some soup from my pot and I did.. Geraldine said

How dare you? Do you want to kill my husband? Geraldine for the sake of God and man I know you're evil but don't come close to my family with your evil deeds... Sophie warned

Geraldine didn't say a word, she left the room and went to meet her husband in the parlour

Daddy! Geraldine called her husband

Her husband looked up and opened his arms for her

I'm off to work, see you in the evening... Geraldine said giving him a peck

Drive safely mummy...He said waving at her

Please warn your wife, warn your wife... Sophie ranted as soon as Geraldine left the house

What did she do this time around? Geraldine's husband Elvis asked

Your wife served my husband a sour soup.. Sophie lied

Talk to her, she is your sister... Elvis replied rubbing his elbow

Sophie sighed and left
She entered her car and drove to her family's house
Her parents were sitting in the parlour discussing when she barged in

Sophie! Her mum called

Please don't call me.. She replied disrespectfully

Mannerless, what brought you here? Her father asked

Please mum, warn Geraldine for me 😩, she's daring me too much... Sophie laid her complain

You decided to marry into that family so endure whatever she does to you...Her father replied

Mum you heard your husband right?

Her mum dragged her to the kitchen and pinched her mouth

Have you forgotten our plans Sophie, allow Geraldine to do whatever she likes,we will bring that her husband down very soon, don't worry...Her mum assured

Sophie nodded and hugged her mum

Geraldine came back from work and her husband told her how he caught Sophie adding salt and pepper to her pot of soup

That was why I served her husband the food in the morning.. Geraldine replied

Your sister something else oo.. Elvis said

Since she doesn't want peace in this house I won't give her a breathing space..

To Be Continued 🤗

Mysterious

Mysterious
There was a woman who had a six-year old son. One day, she bought a new mobile phone. When she came home from work, she started cooking dinner and left her phone down on the kitchen table.

Her son came into the kitchen and saw the phone. He asked his mother if he could play with it. She told him that he could, as long as he did not call anyone or delete any text messages. Of course, the boy agreed and went off to his bedroom to play with the phone.

Around 10PM that night, she went upstairs to tuck in her son and found him fast asleep on his bed. The new cell phone was lying on the ground beside the bed. She picked it up and began browsing though the settings to make sure he had not deleted anything. She noticed some minor changes. He had changed the theme, the background and had given her a new ringtone.

She noticed that he had taken some pictures with the cell phone. She opened the images folder and browsed through them. “How cute,” she thought. He had been taking pictures of himself.

Then she came across the last photo in the folder. When she first saw it, she couldn’t quite believe it. Were her eyes playing tricks on her? It was a photograph of her son, lying asleep on her bed. But the disturbing thing was what was lurking in the far left corner of the picture👆👆👆

Memories from the village

I worked hard in my family's village farms with my friends today. At noon, we were so tired to continue under the angry sun, having decided that we had done enough tiling and planting, we went to Grandma's house. We helped her cook beans in her small kitchen, filled with many memories and the good food we made together. Grandma shared her cooking tricks, making the simple beans taste amazing.

We sat around a table full of the food we cooked, enjoying the result of our work. The beans weren't just food; they held stories from our past and connected us to our family roots. The last time I visited was during childhood, about 5 years ago and it feels like yesterday.

After a day of laughter and shared moments, we rested in Grandma's cool house. The night was calm, filled with stories and the life of the village. When morning came, we felt refreshed, and we greeted Grandma goodbye.

Heading home, we walked the familiar path, appreciating our hardwork and the bond we shared. The village stayed in our hearts, a place we would return to, passing down traditions to the next generations.

A dance with a Scorpion

A dance with a Scorpion
Hello family, so I'm going to make this story shorter than usual as I'm having a little headache, please do stone me with likes as you have always done.

It was one of those evenings when the sun had hidden its glory beneath the clutches of the tick clouds when sounds go far as the day comes to an end.
I tossed my bag on the bed and headed to the kitchen to get a little gift for the tummy.
In minutes, I felt fulfilled and needed a nap but then, there was this little record I needed to take down before I dozed.

Too lazy to use the table, I spread the sheets on the rug, and just when I was about to stretch my legs which felt a little uncomfortable by what I thought was a mere ant, my leg was struck.

I would say by lightning, but there were no thunderbolts,
was there a naked wire lying around? I asked myself as I rubbed the spot in pain bending to take a closer look at the area where my leg had been.

It held its muscular tail up and was ready to strike again, it was a scorpion.
Another wave of shock rushed down at the sight of the arachnid, I had never been stung by a scorpion before.

The broom was close and I didn't find it difficult to lift twice as I landed two blows on the...

I'll continue this story later dear friends, please leave a like

A Piece of Nature

A Piece of Nature
As the raindrops tapped gently against my window, I found solace in the rhythmic harmony of my Chinese tranquil music. The melodic tunes wrapped around me like a comforting embrace, creating a serene atmosphere within the confines of my room.

The absence of electricity enhanced the tranquility and fully complemented the soothing music. Each note seemed to synchronize with the rain's gentle drops, I could only get more engrossed with such a masterpiece.

Closing my eyes, the sound of raindrops became a backdrop to my thoughts, allowing my mind to wander through the world painted by the music. The music transported me to a realm where time seemed to slow down, and the worries of a long Sunday melted away.

The music became a companion, guiding me through a dreamlike journey. Hours slipped by unnoticed, and when I finally opened my eyes this morning, the rain had stopped but the music lingered in the air, reminding me of the tranquil atmosphere that enhanced my night. It was a night where nature met with artistry, leaving a memory that would stay alive in the melody of my thoughts for nights to come.

A pot of beans

In the heart of my childhood kitchen, the familiar dance of pots and pans played out as I tackled the challenge of cooking beans for my dad. Lingering memories of previous attempts whispered doubts, but today held the promise of something different. Despite my initial reluctance, I stood before the stove, ready to dive into the culinary adventure.

Being a good cook didn't always translate to meeting my dad's discerning taste. His last complaint lingered in my mind – the beans weren't cooked enough, the seeds too hard. This time, determined to get it right, I decided to give the beans ample time to soften. The kitchen transformed into a space of patience and anticipation as I let them simmer.

Three hours passed – each minute a testament to dedication. The aroma intensified, signaling the culmination of effort. The kitchen, once a realm of doubt, became a haven of anticipation. Finally, the meal was ready, and I served a portion to my dad. The room held a quiet suspense, waiting for his verdict.

Breaking the silence, my dad smiled and uttered a single word that echoed with triumph: "Delicious." In that moment, the kitchen transformed into a canvas of shared joy, and the beans, now more than a dish, became a vessel for the warmth and connection between me and my dad.

Day well spent

Day well spent
I had made the decision early in the morning, convinced that studying from the comfort of my home would yield better results than attending classes or lectures. The promise of uninterrupted quiet and the freedom to control my own study environment was alluring. I envisioned myself with a stack of books, hungrily devouring every word, and conquering the academic hurdles that lay ahead.

But as the reality of the day unfolded, I found myself succumbing to distractions far too easily. The allure of procrastination was strong, and I allowed it to sweep me away on a tide of indulgence. Instead of opening my textbooks, I spent hours engrossed in mindless mobile games, losing track of time with each tap of the screen.

Occasionally, I would convince myself that a break was necessary, a reward for my intention to study. I would engage in mundane tasks such as doing the laundry or tidying up my room, all in the name of productivity. But in truth, I was merely prolonging the inevitable, avoiding the very thing I had set out to accomplish.

The hours slipped away, and before I knew it, the day had come to an end. I was left with a growing sense of disappointment, coupled with fatigue from the mental exhaustion of a day wasted. The opportunity to expand my knowledge, to challenge myself academically, had slipped through my fingers like sand.

As I lay here now, reflecting on the events of the day, I couldn't help but acknowledge the lessons learned.
In fact let tomorrow reach first.
I pray God help me.

Affairs of the Mind

Affairs of the Mind
I remembered when my brother came home one evening; he entered the house beaming with smiles. Well, it's me and my phone, so I didn't necessarily ask about his smiles after exchanging pleasantries.

Our parents were in the living room as well, watching their usual evening news update. My brother greeted them, gisted a little, and finally explained why he was smiling.

"Mum, Dad, I am getting married," my brother said.

This came as good news to them because they've always pressured him to bring home a bride. A successful young man in his late 30s ought to have a home and his own family according to my parents.

"So, who is the lucky woman?" my mum asked.

"Jaruna is her name, residing in the north," my brother replied.

"Residing or a native?" my dad asked.

"Both, sir, but if we get married, she will come to Lagos with me."

This didn't sit well with my parents after hearing where she is from, but my brother remained adamant and wouldn't budge on his choice. "I've finally found the apple of my eyes, and I am not changing that."

"Well, count us out of your wedding if you won't listen to us. If only you knew that this is for your own good," my dad threatened.

But my brother felt unthreatened since he is man enough for himself and can cater for his own family.

He left, and I saw him off. On my way seeing him off to the gate, he asked if I would be there for him always.

I affirmed that, assured him that nothing could shake our brotherhood.

He tipped me as usual and left.

His wedding was scheduled for five months after he came to our house, and he had tried to convince my parents, but the result was futile. So, he told me to follow him, and he would get some people to do that as well. My brother isn't someone who keeps friends; he doesn't attend functions unless it's a seminar, so I understood why he turned to only me. We arranged that I would stay in his house a week before his wedding to avoid raising any suspicion.

The day came, and we set off. The journey took like three days to reach there, and we arrived there on the night of the third day after a tiring journey. We were given a hut to stay in as the ceremony would commence the next day so we could return home fast.

The next day, my brother asked me, "Ray, I hope you will stand by me if anything happens."

"Sure, bro. I am not your 'ride or die,' but I will ride with you till I die," I said.

"Hope you won't deny me if I call on you," he asked again.

"I am Ray, I am not Peter; use me as your emergency button."

"Such a lovely bro. Men will always mount. I've come a long way, and I can't afford to lose now," he said.

I was skeptical about that buh I didnt bother much on it

We entered, and I was led to a tent, while my brother was led to the open field. A man, probably the bride's father, came out, addressed the mass and the ceremony commenced.

I was at the front row when my brother was laid on a table-like structure. I kept looking in observation mode until a tough-looking man came around and asked if my brother was ready. My brother said yes. The man asked what if he got exhausted, and my brother said "my bro wouldn't disappoint me. I saw the pity in my brother's eyes, all because of love, I Thougt the man would sit on him but

My eyes cleared when I heard my brother scream out after a whip successfully landed on his bare back.

"Damm!" I shouted. "Is this also tradition?" The whip continued non-stop and each time my brother voice rang like of dangote trailer until my brother seemed like he couldn't take it anymore. He faintly looked at me, pleading with me to come and receive the beating.

The beater asked him, "Are you still capable?"

My brother pleaded, "Help me out, Ray, like you've promised me."

With my eyes and facial expression, I replied "For where, I am not Ray. In fact, I don't know him, call Me Peter or amaka"

My brother looked at me in disbelief, I stood up jeje in a rat position, and moved to the nearest hut to change our lookalike cloth before I will be dragged out

, "Why would I suffer for someone else's love?"and which kind of tradition is that??

Me trying to avoid people that might recognize me 👇👇
