Christmas was always something we celebrated in our home. No matter how tough things were at the time, we never miss to celebrate.

On this very day, we had already eaten and drank and it was time for more sightseeing. We always enjoyed visiting relatives and having them gift a little pennies.

Do not eat from anybody, my mum would say. We started our journey and our pennies were growing. With my siblings and a few other neighboring children, we went from house to house to showcase our special Christmas wear.

By the time we were to visit the last place on our list, I was already hungry. On getting there, they didn't ask if we would eat as others did. They just brought in food and big chunks of chicken. While others resisted and declined the invitation to eat, I didn't. I rushed the chicken and that was it.

We went home, they reported me, I was stroked mercilessly, what a Christmas day it was.

I attended a program yesterday a very awesome one I have attended the ones of the previous ones but this one seems different the conventional place they do it they changed it because it's a rainy season so the sound guys are done with set up and all then they kick started with opening prayer and it started to rain everyone was flabbergasted as the sun was still very much up so everyone were like it wouldn't last that it will still stop so we believe the rain started to disrupt the program they started packing the speaker from the rain as the downpour was so so intense even where we were seated the rain entered the place the generator was to be put off people that were asthmatic started having an attack some fainted because they were so went they have to be rush to the clinic I must say it was such a disaster but we are elated that no one lost his life.

Nzube was my friend, we were very close that our relationship brought both families close too. We often played along the street where most younglings of the area joins us.

On a particular day, we left our street and was strolling down a street next to ours when a familiar face who sometimes we allowed to play with us when numbers needed in our children games were low. He was coming towards us with three of his friends making them four.

He expressed anger on how he was usually treated whenever he came to our street to play and how he is determined to make us pay. He drew a line and threatened that we continued with our journey if we dared to.

I usually didn't like violence but something else I detest is having my rights trampled on. I walked past the line and was walking ahead when I received a blow on my cheek, I was about retaliating when another ran towards me and brushed me down. The other two picked on Nzube making him shed tears.

I couldn't sleep properly at night because I couldn't lay on my favourite position, my face was in pains. I cried deeply in my heart and prayed for same opportunity.

I was fetching water some days after when I saw the bully walk past with a dust bin. Quickly, I rushed two blocks away and hollered at Nzube and informed him of the golden opportunity to have our revenge. He joined me immediately and we hid ourselves and waited for the scapegoat.

We came out from hiding immediately he reach our spot on his way back and he didn't act surprised or threatened when we crept in on him. He acted stubborn and fearless and was about to push at Nzube when I struck his face with a loud slap. He struggled to get back at me but I made for his legs and brushed him down to the grounds while Nzube was throwing punches at him. I desperately wanted him to cry and feel what I felt that day.

I told Nzube to pin him down while I pulled the bully's nicka, removed my slippers and gave his dark bum bum about 4 hot strike when he cried out. We soon left him and ran when we saw a young man running to the scene.

We got our revenge, I was happy more than anything that day and I was sure Nzube too was.
We waited for another battle but it never came.
We won😂.

Burna just changed school, his parents switched him from his old school to a new school. One could tell from obvious reasons why he was switched, the first being that the new school was closer to their house, and they had many qualified teachers too.

It was break time and Burna was outside about to join in a football selection.

"who be this goat", a student said

"see en head like food flask, make he no touch this ball oo" another responded.

Burna was left speechless, in his former school, he was the chief commander in football, he was the one to select who was to and who was not to play.

" between me and you, who owns a big head? I wonder why these lizards are even allowed to go to school in the first place" he muttered to himself as he turned to leave.

Burna wasn't himself throughout the school hour. Immediately the school bell rang, he dashed off, one would think he forgot his pants because of the way he dashed off.

"all of you should kneel fast!!", Burna shouted at the 5 boys who had taken the road that went beside his house while they were going home.

" where is that frog that said my head looked like a foodflask? Shey all of the una dey when they been insult me and chase me comot for field?, una go hear am today", Burna threatened as he shook the chain that bound his dog.

"pls it's not me, i, I....", one tried to defend himself but Burna landed a knock on his head.

"I will just have mercy on you people, next Tim.. ", he was about to finish with his statement when they all took to their heels.

With a smile of satisfaction he took his dog back to it's cage and waited for tomorrow.

The next day, they rang the bell and this time it was no longer Burna asking to be selected, he was the one choosing who to play.

"oya food flask head, go and sit down, you no go smell this ball today" he shouted at one who was frowning at the whole process.

Once upon a time in a small suburban neighborhood, there lived a dog named Max and a cat named Bella. Max was a goofy and playful Golden Retriever, while Bella was a sassy and independent Calico cat. They were neighbors but had never really interacted with each other before.
One sunny afternoon, Max spotted Bella lounging on the windowsill, basking in the warm sunlight. Intrigued by the sight of the elegant feline, Max's tail wagged uncontrollably. He couldn't resist the urge to introduce himself.

Max, eager to impress Bella, started showing off his tricks. He performed somersaults, rolled over, and even tried balancing a treat on his nose. Bella couldn't help but be amused by Max's antics. She watched him with her piercing green eyes, occasionally letting out a soft purr.
Their encounters became a daily routine. Max would wait by the window, and Bella would eventually saunter over to observe his silly shenanigans. Max would fetch sticks and play fetch, and Bella would watch with a hint of admiration in her eyes.
One day, as Max was chasing his tail in the backyard, he accidentally knocked over Bella's favorite potted plant. The crash startled Bella, who swiftly jumped down from the windowsill and dashed outside. Max froze in panic, fearing Bella's wrath.
However, to Max's surprise, Bella didn't scold him or hiss in anger. Instead, she examined the plant, looking concerned. With a swift paw, Bella gently nudged the toppled pot back into an upright position. Max watched in awe as Bella displayed a compassionate side he had never seen before.
From that day on, their friendship blossomed. Max and Bella spent their days exploring the neighborhood together, chasing butterflies and rolling in the grass. Max taught Bella how to play fetch, and Bella taught Max the art of stealthy pouncing.
Their neighbors couldn't believe their eyes. A dog and a cat, inseparable friends? It seemed impossible, but Max and Bella proved that love knows no boundaries, not even those between different species.
And so, the dog and cat who once lived as neighbors became the best of friends, showcasing that true love can be found in the most unexpected places. Max and Bella's friendship brought joy and laughter to everyone around, reminding us all that sometimes the most beautiful relationships are the ones that make us laugh the hardest.

I had this friend who I called uncle while I was in primary school. He often bought me junk foods whenever he returned from class. He was a student at a close university.

I ran errands for him and I don't miss a mouth watering reward afterwards. He was also friendly to everyone but he was my uncle (I called him uncle), so we were much closer.

Returning from school one day, I walked along the usual path I use while going and returning from school. On this day I decided to wave my friend (uncle) and maybe he would bless the day.

I was heading for the door when I heard sobbing sounds inside. Out of curiosity, I stretched and opened the window blinds, and there was my uncle with a female guest. They were bare.

Adrenaline pumped through my blood immediately and I was confused on what to do. I dashed out and continued my walk home, thinking of who to tell first about what I saw.

I was almost home when I saw my uncle, I don't know how he did it, but he was approaching me, he must have taken a shortcut and intercepted me.

The look on his face was terror as he shouted at me and asked angrily why I opened his window. He struck my face twice and instructed that no one heard of what I saw.

With teary face, I returned home and everyone gathered, my face was swollen. I couldn't have said a word but on a second thought, I spilled the whole gist.

A week later, he moved out, my uncle moved out. Guess he couldn't bear the shame any longer. I didn't feel it though because I cut off the friendship instantly after the first slap.

So something very tragic happen to me that's why I haven't been consistent on this site, some of my friends ganged up against me because of a guy that has nothing to do with me so the girl that likes the girl is my very close friend and I know everything about her except that she likes that girl but the guy always keeps coming to me and he stays clear of my friend I didn't know she will take it to the extent of wanting to hurt or harm me then after lectures last week she told me she wanted showing me something special she took me somewhere before I knew it they knocked me out with a plank and when I woke up she said I should stay clear of the guy that she is in love with him I was in shock she could do this to me when she could have just told me about it.peeps beware of the type of friends you keep totally sieve them.

Been a few weeks since this tragic incident occurred, yet the street, the building, and the road bore marks of that very past.

I was flipping through a text when I heard muffled cries, shouts, and angered chattering. It was a mob parading this young guy who they have beaten into a pulp.

I was filled with pity as I gazed through my window and tried to identify the culprit but couldn't.

Some landed critical blows on the head with solid materials, while some hurled stones at him.

What could it be that this poor guy did? I asked myself.
On a second thought, I decided to go down and ask of what was happening.

"he was the notorious thief that always stole from the market shops",
Somto answered after I asked. Somto was my lodge mate.
He went on "Can you imagine, he set 3 shops ablaze after he stole from them?"

He last statement was rhetorical but he inquired for an answer which never came.

The beatings were much for the poor lad and I knew just then that he won't survive it.
After sometime, I returned to my room and continued my study until Somto returned and narrated how the thief had collapsed and how he was identified dead afterwards.

I couldn't help but think about what desperation could cause. This was a young boy who was filled with hot blood.
If he had channeled this energy towards something worthwhile, he could be living off a cool life or even at least be alive. What surpasses life?

My brother chisom was a talented technician, he didn't learn a handwork related to that. It was just natural that he could have electronic devices working again after he had dismantled it and coupled it back.

The fan in the room where we both stayed usually had issues sometimes but he had been the one doing the repairs often.

During one particular day, we fought and he got mad at me, I also got bad at him to mention. And wouldn't let him touch anything that belonged to me.

During the early hours of the evening, the fan began to malfunction but instead of waiting for my elder brother to come handle it as always, I decided to prove that what he can do, I could do better.

I started work on the fan and after sever minutes of joining wires that I didn't know its functions, I plugged the fan for a test and surprisingly it let out a small spark but began to work. I saw the jealousy in my brother's eyes that night, but who cares.

I stood the fan close to my bed and slept with pride, not until I was knocked up by something that seemed like an aeroplane crash on my head. It was like a dream, the fan made weird noises.

I quickly sprang up and pushed the fan aside and ran out with fear.

I didn't touch the fan again for days and till now, I wouldn't touch that fan again, the mark it gave me is still on my head.

I was running low on money, deep down I knew there was no magic that will rain money for me.
I said a prayer in my heart "Lord, if you provide for me, I will donate 10% of the money to a place in need"

This evening, someone approached me to help him and I did expecting zero return, to my surprise, he asked for my bank details, he sent 1% of 1Million Naira 😹
God bless him, I didn't do anything worth it but I knew that it's GOD coming through for me ❤️

It was a hot and sunny day in Edo State, Nigeria. Okechukwu was sweating profusely as he walked to the market to buy some tomatoes for his wife. He wished he had enough money to buy an air conditioner, or at least a fan, but times were hard and he had to make do with what he had.

As he approached the market, he noticed something strange. The people were running around in panic, screaming and shouting. He saw some vendors throwing away their goods, while others were trying to salvage what they could. He wondered what was going on.

He asked a woman who was carrying a basket of fish on her head. "Aunty, wetin dey happen? Why everybody dey run?"

The woman looked at him with fear in her eyes. "You no hear? The president don talk say make we no use generator again. Say na solar power we go dey use from now on. Say na him way to fight global warming and save money for fuel subsidy."

Okechukwu was confused. "But how dat one take affect us here? We no even get light for this area."

The woman shook her head. "Na the problem be that. The solar panels wey dem install for us no work well. Dem dey freeze everything wey dem touch. See my fish na, dem don turn to ice block. Even the tomatoes, pepper, yam, everything don spoil. Na so so cold dey blow for here now. Abeg, make you run for your life before you catch pneumonia."

Okechukwu was shocked. He looked around and saw that it was true. The market was covered in frost and snow. He felt a chill run down his spine. He wondered how this could happen in Nigeria, a country that was known for its heat and humidity.

He decided to go back home and tell his wife what he saw. He hoped she would believe him and not think he was lying or mad. He also hoped that the president would reverse his decision and restore the generators, or at least fix the solar panels.

He thought of the irony of the situation. Nigeria, a country that had one of the largest oil reserves in the world, was now suffering from too much cold because of a faulty attempt to use renewable energy.

He laughed bitterly as he walked away from the market, leaving behind a trail of frozen footprints.

THE DEFAULTERS
Hi guys, I want to share a little story that is a lesson that if well taken into consideration and put into practice, life will be more easier.
So, it all started on a bright sunny afternoon on a Monday morning. Just immediately after the bell was rung for break over and continuation of teaching I went out to catch and punish those whose defaulted in obeying the bell because I was on duty that day. So, all the students starting running into their classes immediately they saw me approaching. So, I headed on to the school field to search for more defaulters and this time any one caught was to be punished because the rule of the school clearly states that anyone caught still out 2minutes after the bell has been rung should be punished. I went their and I saw 2 students, they weren't even making any attempt to go to class early because they were seniors, so I called them and asked why they weren't in class and one of them lied that they were sent by a teacher and I asked the other one, he too said the same thing, so I asked to follow me to the teacher they said sent them but they were reluctant but just then, I also saw other two students and I asked them why they were outside and they said that they were sorry that they heard the bell but they were stayed there to put back on their shoes because they played football, so I let them go because they said the truth and after seeing what happened the other two that lied began to confess that they lied to me but It was too late.
Lying is a bad habit, people often say some times its good not to say the truth because it might turn back at you but no matter the pain it will cost, the truth is better because a lie will still come back in the future to hunt you.

I have always been the kind of person who paid little or no attention to the kitchen, but must also mention that I love eating, not a chronic lover, but I do alright eating good foods. I don't fancy eating outdoors if it's not urgent or perhaps, I am away from where close ones or I can make my food.

At a stage, when I was done with my secondary school education, my family members started making commentaries on how I was going to survive living in the university without knowing how to cook so well.

Get your mind off it!
Not like I didn't know how to cook.
I always knew within myself counting the many times that I had helped my mummy and siblings in the kitchen to cook, but never had I prepared food for the whole family asides from jollof rice, yam, beans, and some fries too.

On a good day, I decided to surprise them.
My mum already bought foodstuffs for soup and instructed my elder sister to cook it.
She was to start cooking by noon so I had to resume earlier.

It was a tough time I must confess, having to cut/squeeze the vegetables, pound lots of pepper and prawns, the ede too, and all other processes that I had to put in balance.

After several hours, I was done cooking. Normally, it would take my sister less than an hour to do that.

They were left speechless when I called out that they should gather in the dining so I would serve them.

My dad was first to go, he swallowed down a bolus while the rest watched.
He stood and stretched his hands which were sticky at me to shake as he congratulated my cooking skills. The rest couldn't believe the taste of the soup when they tested it.

Now I am finally in school and bet me, I make the best tasty meals.

I went for an audition yesterday and the audition was for me to join a church choir and it was very strict like the likes of Nigerian idol, the voice or even project fame. Asides Cooking the other thing I really know how to do well is singing and I wasn't born with it at all I had to always rehearse , learn how to breathe diaphragmatiacally, having a clear tone,pitch perfect and how to carry the audience along. But me with all this sophistication was still very scared and sore afraid of the unknown because we were warned strictly about somethings.i was number 20 on the list of 50 singers I was sweating profusely, because intense fear has covered me but it's something I know how to do very well.They didn't call the number from top, it was something random I was called third and my heart started to pound so so fast I couldn't even give them the name of the song I was to sing I was stuttering so bad it got to the point I started crying I wasn't given the spot not because I wasn't a good singer but I made my fear have a better part of me and I lost it my advice to friends here let that skill that thing you really have knowledge of let it be your courage and strength never be timid again it's for fools.

The frown grew tense as each bite passed. It also left yellow stains on my fingertips and I am sure it left some particles on my lips too.

I wanted to discontinue eating but I bought it with my money so it would be so unwise wasting it. I swallowed the salty-soured chips as quickly and shortly as I could just so it could be out of my sight.

Finally, I got done with it and drank a lot of water that would flush all particle remnants stuck in my taste buds.

Funny enough, the next day I started craving the same chops. Something I was sure the taste didn't please me then, but now I want it more than anything.

I got two packs of the "munch it" this time, but guess what?
The taste improved, I liked the weird taste even though I felt like not eating again.

With time, this thing with the foul taste became my favorite snack. A day without a bite became hell.

Till now "munch it" is the best.

A girl missed her periød 2 months ago, her mom took her to the clinic for prēgnancy test of which it was positive. Embārrassed, her mom said, who is the pig that got you prēgnant? The girl picked up her phone and made a call. An hour later, a young handsome man drove in Ferrari to the girls house.

Good evening, the man greeted... Your daughter told me the prøblem in the house. I can't marry for now because of my family issues, but I promise I will take care of her for the rest of her life, and if she gives birth to a girl, I promised to buy her a mansion, 2 jeeps and 1million dollars. If it's a boy, I 'll buy her houses in a country side, 5 jeeps, 2 big factories and 5 million dollars in her account. If it's twins, I 'll do anything she asked. But if there's miscarriage, what do you suggest I do?

The girl father silently pat the young man on his shoulder and said , my son, if there is mīscarriage, you'll sleep with her again.

Something so so shocking happened in my exam hall today we were writing our most tricky course and my school mainly writes CBT exams and they are three categories of students, the first are those kinds of people that will study so hard to pass and the second set will be very nonchalant if they fail of pass they don't give a damn then the last are those that uses the time they are meant to study with and invest it in trying tricky tactics in examination malpractice just to pass.
I got to the hall and I sat down with a lady I don't know her from Adam though , the exam started and everyone were sweating profusely as it was a very hot one then the lady besides me brought by out her phone and started coping so fast and she was spotted by the invigilator and the invigilator asked her to stand up and bring her ID card because she knows fully that the lecture is a devote Muslim she went half baked and the invigilator had to cover his face not to see her as it's a bad thing to do in his religion and the girl ran away. This is my humble humble piece of advice to everyone here never cheat to pass it's by hardwork.

Today started off slow as I woke up and a deep voice in me suggested that I stay back than prepare for classes. I hardly muss classes for any reason, but this day, I succumbed to that lazy voice in my head.

I stayed back and ignored all lectures that were fixed to hold in the morning. Not up to 2 hours later, I started receiving calls that gunshots are been heard all over the school area, was still on the call when the gunshots began close to my hearing, they were shooting sporadically across the streets.

I declared my safety to my parents and friends who called in to check on me, and then I crept back to my bed and dozed.

Waking up now to hear about the scores of the shooters, videos of the incident everywhere and other saddening stories linked with today.
I thanked God for protecting, perhaps I might have been a victim.

Yesterday Monday 3rd July, the school was not supposed to conduct any lectures since the Mondays have been usually recognised as stay-at-home day.

The day started off boringly, we had not perceived electricity for close to 34hrs and my phone was dead. I had to go inside the institution to find where to charge.

I found a class which had faulty wall fuses, but at last, found one good.
I had just plugged in and seated for few minutes when students started rushing inside the building like they were being chased, some pushed, and overtook me while I struggled to leave the front seat I occupied and run to the back.

When everything settled down, to my utmost surprise, it wasn't any alarm.
The students were just rushing to get a good space before the next lecture.

I had given up my seat because of what I thought was the gun men's. With anger, I just stood, picked my belongings and left.

My good names are Joseph w. Kamau ( Jose God's Son, i am 28years old from kenya, I am a person living with a disability and wheelchair user.But I was not born with a disability, my life changed in a split of a second up todate I was diagnosed with a paraplegia secondary to a fall from a height wich occurred on 21st of September 2014.

Beside the trauma of the accident, I was confronted with unknown consequences due to the accident. The reality stroke me that I will never be able to walk again. In addition, I could say my body has been affected by more conditions. I have been also diagnosed with an acute compression fracture on my spinal cord which is level T10-T11 dislocation and transection and adjacent cord contusion which causes my bladder/bowel problem..”

What is a spinal cord injury? Spinal cord injury (SCI) is damage to the spinal cord that results Is a loss of function such as mobility or feeling wich has also affected me I can't feel from the chest downward.

The spinal cord and the brain are the two components of the central nervous system (CNS). The spinal cord extends from the base of the brain, down the middle of the back, to the lower back, and it coordinates movement and sensation in the body. It contains nerve cells, supporting cells, and long nerve fibres (axons) that connect to the brain and carry signals downward from the brain along descending pathways and upward to the brain along ascending pathways.

"I have a lack of sensations where my bladder and bowel would get full without being aware of I do use catheter ,and adult diapers each and everyday. I have trouble standing up because of the damage to the nerves on my both legs and became paralyzed which has led to not experience sensations . I have been admitted to many hospitals here in Kenya for treatments the first admission was in kiambu hospital,then Kenyatta national hospital, Shalom hospital where I stayed for Nine months , and later spinal injury hospital, following a referral from shalom hospital . I have undergo seven successful surgeries and I thank God for keeping me alive he has done a lot in my life.

The spinal cord consists of several segments along its length, with higher segments controlling movement and sensation in upper parts of the body and lower segments controlling the lower parts of the body.

The types of disability associated with SCI thus depend directly on the type and severity of the injury, the level of the cord at which the injury occurs, and the nerve fibre pathways that are damaged. Severe injury to the spinal cord causes paralysis and complete loss of sensation to the parts of the body controlled by the spinal cord segments below the point of injury. Spinal cord injuries also can lead to many complications, including pressure sores which has affected me and increased susceptibility to respiratory diseases...

After spending years and months in the hospitals, a hospital doctor discharged me to the nearest facility for follow up and phiyio therapy.However due to financial difficulties I have not been on follow up as per the guideline

When i was in the hospital my mother separated with my father because of my situation I remember very well Just like Yesterday what my father told my mum because I was just next to him is ( Oya kionje Ng'iaku umenye kúria úgutwara ) meaning Take your cripple I cried alot but I had no otherwise my mum to just to take his kionje i even tried to kill my self thrice same day .This have left my mother being the only primary caregiver as she takes care of me and stays with me on a rental houses where our life is not good because of her unemployment state she lost her job back in the year 2016 because of me ,because I was not independent enough even I was not able to turn myself in bed and I was requested by doctors to be turned every after two hours to avoid bed sores, and many more..

Due to this she is not in a position to meet all my needs she has been doing vibarua here n there atleast to help where she can ,I do use alot of stuffs like adults diapers, catheters,Urine bags,and many more which it's more expensive she can't afford because the little she get we use to buy food and to pay rent which its more difficult to get sometimes we sleep without eating anything sometimes landlord locks our house
like for now we have been going been going through difficult time like putting a meal on the table and struggling to buy personal paraphernalia Like adults diaper catheters urine bags and much more.

Some months back I started a Hawking business atleast to help my mum to buy food and to pay rent but Due to healthy issues I lost my business up to date and I've not managed to start up again And the wheelchair I was using damaged the batteries and they more expensive I can't afford to buy them. if i can get a capital and wheelchair batteries I am ready to start up again ive been thinking about sausage and boiled eggs bussines because that one I will not walk alot.

I've been going through difficult challenges but what makes me live is Hope because I Know my tommorow will be greater than today and and I love my self the way am even if accepting the situation was not easy

I've been experiencing and feeling more pain on my spine and experiencing catheter infection s spasms and many challenges but no matter what am going through I can't because I know give up Giving up is not an option."even if as person it comes to the certain stage whereby you feel priceless where you can't do anything but just to give up but I am not willing to give "Ju siwezi taka kumuacha mzazi wangu akiteseka peke yake .imekua matamanio yangu kumtoa mamayangu kutoka kwa nyumba za kukomboa nimununulie ploti na nimjengee nimuondolee machozi ile amekua akilia kila mwisho wa mwezi ju ya kukosa pesa ya rent lakini sina uwezo lakini naamini siku moja mungu atanitimizia ndoto yangu

Request: On 11 may 2022 i went to Aic kijabe hospital for surgery to correct my spine and reduce the pain I have been experiencing and I thank God surgery was successful they managed to do CORPECTOMY PLUS POSTERIOR INSTRUMENTAL FUSION T9-L2 .. After discharge I have not been going to phyio therapy Even though I am required to continue with it as per the doctors guidelines which will be a huge expense,which my mum and I went are not unable due to financial difficulties..

Therefore am humbly requesting for your Assistance as per your ability to help me to continue with my follow-ups and physio It my wish to continue with follow ups so that I can begin to lead a normal life again ,Also if you are here and you are in position to assist me start up a business to relly on my self also to Archive my dream to buy a plot and build a house for my and I.Please I need your hand on this.

Good morning guys, this is my first time posting a story please help me drop some reasonable likes.
So, going straight to the point, I woke up yesterday to realise that rain was falling heavily. It totally discouraged me from going to work but I just couldn't go late or even dare to miss.
So, I prepared and took an umbrella and left but on getting to the bridge, I discovered that the rain has already swept off the plank that was there and people were stranded including me because there was no other way. So, some people or let me say group of guys summoned courage and decided to enter the river to see how deep it was but the first person that entered almost got drowned because the river was too deep and on seeing that I concluded that there wasn't any option for me than to call and explain the scenario to my boss. To cut the long story short, I took permission and went back home.
