five biblical prophecies about Gaza:

1. Destruction of the Gaza Philistines: In the book of Amos (1:6-8 it is prophesied that Gaza will be judged for their sins. The Philistines who inhabited Gaza at that time are described as being guilty of capturing and selling innocent people as slaves. As a result God declares destruction upon their land.

2. Conquest by the King of Assyria: The book of Isaiah (20:1-6) prophesies that the people of Gaza will be conquered by the king of Assyria. This prophecy was fulfilled when the Assyrian king Sargon II invaded and conquered Gaza in 711 BC.

3. Rejoicing in the In book of Zephaniah (2:4-7 it is prophesied that Gaza will be left desolate and the people of Judah will inherit their land. However in the future the prophecy states that Gaza will experience a time of restoration and rejoicing when the Lord brings His people back.

4. Judgement for Oppression: In the book of Zechariah (9:5-7 it is prophesied that Gaza will face judgment for their oppression and violence against Israel. The prophecy states that God will cut off their bloodshed and destruction and their ruler will be removed from power.

5. Future Destruction: The book of Amos (1:7-8) also prophesies about the future destruction of Gaza. It describes how God will send fire upon the walls of Gaza completely destroying it. This prophecy has not yet been fulfilled suggesting a future event.

It's important to note that the interpretation and timing of these prophecies may vary among different biblical scholars and religious beliefs.

When God smiles at you

When God smiles at you
Once upon a time in a community in Imo state, there lived a boy named Dave. He grew up in a humble family, where his parents did their best to provide for him and his siblings. However, when the time came for Dave to continue his education after secondary school, his parents couldn't afford to sponsor him for university. Understanding their financial limitations, they enrolled him in a trade school instead.

While his friends prepared to attend lectures and pursue higher education, Dave's days were filled with learning and honing his skills in his chosen trade. Despite facing taunts and ridicule from his friends, Dave remained focused and committed to his aspirations. He knew that education was important, but he believed that success could be achieved through hard work and dedication, regardless of academic qualifications.

Five years passed, and all of Dave's friends seemed to be doing well. Some of them bought cars and would occasionally tease Dave, throwing #50 notes at him as they passed by. Though it hurt him, Dave never let their actions discourage him. He was determined to prove that success was not solely dependent on educational achievements.

One fateful day, an unexpected event shook Dave's world. An asteroid fell from the sky and crashed through the roof of his home. In an instant, Dave's thoughts raced, contemplating the damage it had caused. He worried about how the rain would make his family restless and the financial burden it would impose on them to repair the roof.

To his surprise, a week after the incident, a group of foreigners arrived in the community. They had heard about the fallen stone and were willing to pay a million dollars to acquire it for scientific research. It turned out that the asteroid had valuable properties that made it highly sought after by researchers around the world.

Dave's life changed in an unimaginable way. The unexpected fortune that came from the sale of the fallen stone not only allowed him to repair his damaged roof but also transformed his family's future. With newfound financial stability, Dave decided to invest in his trade and expand his business.

MY MATRICULATION STORY

MY MATRICULATION STORY
Being in the university is so sweet.
families are proud of you.😃

On that special day that fell on a Tuesday, I woke up as early as 4:37AM as i had a sleepless night,,, cold wan finish me😤, as everywhere was so windy at the early hours of the day. It is quite unusual to have such a beautiful weather in Ekpoma (Edo State) in a season like that. This suggested to me that even the weather knew the specialty of that day’s event and then contributed to it’s pleasures😂.

So let me start by bringing my parents into this,,, before the D-Day, my mum and my grandfather has already come all the way from Benin to Ekpoma 🙄 just to celebrate with their son😊. My brother e nor easy to be first grandchild, if you don't get it, forget about it!
So to continue with our gist; as a devout christian that my momsi is, we had our morning devotion for almost for an hour😫, that woman can pray for heaven, Iye🤧.
And moreover I barely had such period of time to pray as days before have always been on tight academic schedules. After prayers, my mum and I did a little clean up in my room with my eyes terminally looking at the wall clock😂, I could not afford to arrive late at the special event. Was more like a wedding day to me. So my mum left me do the rest chores, while she quickly prepare something for me and my grandfather to eat. Mothers will always be mothers🥺
After the clean up, I quickly rushed to take my bath and brush my teeth and also I ate my food,,, then the time was already 8:57AM.

The event was scheduled to start by 10:00AM but i was already at the venue by 9:55AM,,,as the Bini spirit in me chooses not to show up its face that day, if you know, you know! Well my aim was to sit in the front row so i could obtain good visuals of the programs as they unfold, that kind tin😜

After the African time syndrome had been honoured, the program eventually started at about few minutes past 11:00AM and by then,we the matriculating students were already sited in our rightful place in the hall. Guests, lecturers, academic staff, non – academic staff, board of directors, the registrar and other dignitaries were already on sit and the master of ceremony asked a pastor who is the Dean of the Faculty of Arts to say the opening prayer and the event started properly. Oshe!!!

The euphoria in the hall was great as we sang the national anthem. All the high table members were honourably introduced by the master of ceremony after which the opening speech was given by the Father of the day, . The guest speaker of the day was invited to the stage with applaud from the audience and he gave a speech on “the roles of good moral behaviour in attaining academic excellence” and he admonished the students on the code of conduct of higher institution. After the speech, the registrar presented the Matriculating students to the dean and we were directed to swear the Matriculation oath after which the rector gave the closing remark. Again, the national anthem and pledge was taken and the program was brought to a close as we matched out to the red carpet for group pictures. The Great AMBROSE ALLI UNIVERSITY!

I was opportune to take pictures with some dignitaries. I also took pictures with my friends and course mates. I toured different music bands and danced till i was very tired and then i the venue at about 4:00PM. On getting home, i landed on my bed and slept the whole evening.

“Luna′s Journey: The Treasure Within“

Once upon a time in a small village nestled at the foot of a grand mountain, a young girl named Luna lived with her parents. Luna was known for her insatiable curiosity and unyielding determination. She dreamed of exploring the world beyond her village, embarking on thrilling adventures, and making a name for herself.

One sunny day, Luna stumbled upon an old, dusty map buried deep within the attic of her home. The map appeared to be from a bygone era, depicting a hidden treasure buried within a mysterious cave atop the mountain. Excitement washed over Luna as she realized this could be the opportunity she had been waiting for.

Unbeknownst to her, this map had been the obsession of countless treasure hunters who attempted the perilous journey to find the hidden riches. However, none had ever succeeded. Undeterred by the failures of others, Luna decided to take on the challenge.

Armed with her courage and a sense of adventure, Luna embarked on her quest the very next day. As she ascended the mountain, she encountered various obstacles that tested her resolve. Treacherous cliffs, wild animals, and turbulent weather only fueled her determination.

Finally, after days of grueling ascent, Luna stood before the entrance of the cave. It was dark, daunting, and whispered tales of the treasure's enchantment. Gathering her bravery, she stepped into the unknown depths, armed with her trusty lantern and a heart full of hope.

Inside, Luna encountered an intricate labyrinth of tunnels, each leading her further into a sense of mystery. She navigated the twists and turns, following the faded markings on the map until she reached a massive chamber bathed in shimmering golden light.

At the heart of the chamber lay the treasure—a magnificent glowing crystal, emanating a soft, ethereal glow. Luna reached out to touch it, and as her fingertips grazed the crystal's surface, an extraordinary surge of energy enveloped her.

In that moment, Luna realized the true essence of the treasure. It wasn't about the material wealth, but rather the transformative power within oneself that is discovered through relentless pursuit and unwavering belief. She had become the hero of her own story, overcoming every obstacle that stood in her way.

Word of Luna's triumph spread like wildfire, captivating the hearts and minds of people far and wide. She became an inspiration to all who heard her tale, proving that with determination, courage, and faith in oneself, any dream can be achieved.

And so, Luna's story won the hearts of the contest judges, not for the treasure she found, but for the treasure she became. Her journey became a symbol of hope, reminding everyone that sometimes, the greatest treasures are not found in riches, but in the journey itself.

What a Day!

It is a Monday, and for me, a college student, it began with a deafening alarm that seemed to ring earlier than ever. I had an 8 AM practical exam that I hadn't had much time to prepare for due to a series of late-night study sessions.

Rushing to the exam, I realized that I had forgotten my student ID, which was required to enter the testing center. Panicked, I had to sprint back to my lodge and then back to the testing center to barely make it on time.
The practical exam was a brain-wracking experience, but it was only the beginning of an hectic day. After the test, we had back-to-back classes.

As I headed to the library to catch up on assignments, I got a text from my roommate, saying he had locked himself out of our shared apartment. I had to rush back to help him, causing me to lose valuable study time.

I returned to the library, only to realize that I had left my laptop charger at the lodge. Desperate to save my dying laptop, I borrowed a charger from a fellow student, promising to return it later.

With the day drawing to a close, I couldn't help but reflect on the hectic nature of my student life. The ups and downs, the academic pressures, and the constant juggling of responsibilities were certainly challenging. Yet, these experiences are shaping me into a resilient and determined individual, ready to handle whatever life throws at me.

Until next time, adios

Buttocks in the Mud

Buttocks in the Mud
Oh boy, let me tell you about the epic adventure I had on this one rainy day. So, there I was, feeling all brave and determined, ready to conquer the world or at least the nearest market to get my hands on some goodies.

As I made my way through the aftermath of a massive rainfall, I could feel the squishy mud beneath my feet. But did that deter me? Not a chance! Armed with an umbrella and a shopping list, I trudged forward, sliding my way through puddles like a pro. Or so I thought.
With my neat white trousers (lol), I maneuvered loopholes majestically.

Just when I was starting to feel like the next mud-sliding champion, disaster struck. My feet betrayed me, slip-sliding away on a particularly treacherous patch of mud. Time stood still for a moment as I was airborne, with my heart racing and my frozen expression resembling something straight out of a cartoon.

And then, it happened. I landed, with a resounding "splat," right on my buttocks. The force of the landing left an artistic masterpiece in the form of a mud sticker on my shorts. Masterpiece or not, one thing was for sure - I was halfway to the market, and there was no way I was turning back now!

As I gingerly picked myself up, the amusement of the situation started sinking in. I mean, who wouldn't find humor in a once proud boy like me now carrying around a muddy work of art on my backside? Passersby couldn't help but burst into laughter at the sight of my stained shorts, drawing even more attention to my, ahem, fashion statement.

But you know what they say - when life gives you muddy bottoms, you've got to keep on truckin'. Determined not to let my stained attire hinder my snacking goals, I waddled on, embracing my newfound role as the walking entertainment for the day. I've got to buy akara today, a must.

And wouldn't you know it, as fate would have it, a girl passing by couldn't resist a witty remark. With a mischievous grin, she shouted, "Hey, it looks like you've got a live television on your buttocks!"

My Lodge Mate

My Lodge Mate
My lodge mate next door is a very interesting lady. I always stare for long anytime she passes through my yard. I'm a lady too but I can't help it most times to help and admire God's works on nog just her appearance but her bubbling personality.

Her name is Oyiza. She never told me about her surname but why do I need to know anyway. What captivates me about her especially her appearance is her hair, she has long dark, rich, ebony hair which shines under the sun. It hits me the day I ask her if she has relaxed it and she replied "no" it's her natural hair. She has a piecing dark brown big eyes that seems to look right into your soul and her eyelashes are too long and too full that, I can't help but to call it an extension but she also told me that it's her real eye lashes. I had to beg her to let me pull it to be sure it her natural eye lashes. In the process I almost injured her eyes.

She's a very good definition of black beauty. With a nose so pointed like she's a Fulani girl, whereas she's an Ebira girl. She has body hairs too but it so slick and sleeps on her skin making it have a glistering shine in darkness. Her teeths are perfectly white with a gap tooth which has no stain whatsoever. I had to ask her what toothpaste she's using and she told me she's using MacLean!, Ordinary MacLean? I didn't believe her. I believe she's using something else to make her teeth this white!! She also have the most beautiful charming smile with dimples that sinks so cutely into her full cheeks.

To crown her perfection, she's endowed with a body that's the envy of every woman. Full front yard and full backyard with a stomack so flat like a pan. She's a perfect model.

Oyiza my lodge mate is also an azar woman. She has money like cool money. I don't know her account balance but what will one expect of a perfect creation like her? She definitely has men of all caliber lining up to her just to earn her glance. I said men of all caliber because I saw her bringing home sculpted gold and lots of gifts of which I heard she won an award plus a scholership in her depertment after engaging in a competition which she blow everyone with her intellectual prows. So, who won't like someone like that? She also have the most beautiful musical voice that makes you want to listen to her. She's all friendly and a generous giver she gets along with everyone except Tunde our next door lodge mate.

To be continued 🖤

A Date With My Crush

Early today (Sunday afternoon), the sun gently warming the the toewn, birds cheerfully chirping melodies, and I, nervous, waiting for my crush, Doofan, to arrive for our first date. I had been crushing on her since the moment I laid eyes on her during my first year at my current work. Her infectious laugh, her brilliant mind, and her ability to make even the most difficult tasks seem like a piece of cake had me completely smitten.
When Doofan finally arrived, looking like a celebrity actress, I could feel my heart doing somersaults in my chest. We headed to a popular park. As we strolled along the winding paths, I tried my best to impress Doofan with my wit and charm, but my anxiety kept tripping me up. I stumbled over my words, made awkward jokes that fell flat, and even managed to step in a puddle, soaking my shoe and sock.
Despite my clumsiness, Jessica seemed to be enjoying herself. She laughed at my silly jokes, listened intently to my stories, and even found my nervous ramblings endearing. As we sat down, waiting to be attended to, I decided to take a chance. I looked into Doofan's sparkling eyes and blurted out, "I really like you, Doofan."
Doofan's smile widened, and she replied, "I like you too, you silly goose."
Relief washed over me, and I couldn't help but let out a goofy laugh. I had just confessed my feelings to my crush, and she liked me back! The rest of the date was a blur of laughter, shared stories, and stolen glances. By the time we said goodbye, I was walking on air, feeling like the luckiest guy in the world.
As I walked home, I couldn't stop replaying the day's events in my head. I had managed to survive a date with my crush, despite my clumsiness and nerves, and she actually liked me back! It was a Sunday I would never forget, a day filled with sunshine, laughter, and the sweet beginnings of a budding romance.
Honestly, I would love to know if you also had fun this Sunday.

My New Music Box

My New Music Box
I made my way to the market today after imagining all the possibilities that awaited me. I was so proud of my budget, convinced that with the amount, I would have a wide range of high-quality options to choose from.

However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to disappointment as I realized that the prices of the music players were far beyond my reach. The sellers, with their knowing smirks, refused to budge, claiming that durable and high-quality music players only came at a higher cost.

I pleaded and bargained, but it seemed like all my efforts were in vain. The sellers were adamant that there was no way I would find a durable music player within my budget.

Feeling defeated, I was about to give up and head home empty-handed. But just as I was about to turn away, a small stall caught my eye. It had an array of music players neatly stacked, but they were much smaller than what I had fantasized.

With a mix of curiosity and desperation, I approached the stall owner, explaining my predicament. To my surprise, he listened attentively and smiled, offering me a deal that I couldn't refuse. He had a smaller music player, but he assured me that it packed a punch in terms of sound quality.

With my hopes slightly renewed, I handed over my hard-earned #8000 and left the market clutching my new music player. Despite its size, I couldn't shake off a sense of disappointment. It wasn't what I had initially wanted, but it was all I could afford.

When I finally arrived home, I plugged in the music player to charge, wondering if I had made a mistake. But as soon as I switched it on and selected my favorite song, all doubts dissipated. The loudness and bass that emanated from the small device perfectly satisfied my taste. It was far better than I had hoped for.

Not only was the sound quality impressive, but the battery life was exceptional. It seemed like this little music player had defied all odds and exceeded my expectations. I couldn't help but feel a sense of joy and gratitude, realizing that sometimes, the best surprises come in the most unexpected packages.

Waste of efforts

had been looking forward to the practical test for days. I had prepared meticulously, going over every detail and equation until I was sure that I knew everything inside and out. My excitement had reached an all-time high, as I packed my bag and set out to arrive at the venue before time.

As I arrived at the practical hall, I couldn't help but feel the rush of anticipation and nerves coursing through my veins. After waiting around for nearly an hour and overcoming several tussles with jostling students, I finally entered the hall.

However, as I looked around, I couldn't help but feel a sense of confusion. None of the familiar faces were present in the room, and all around me were people I had never seen before. My heart sank, and an overwhelming dread began to consume me.

But I tried to shake it off and focus on the task at hand. I threw myself into the practical with enthusiasm, determined to do my best. The hours passed by in a blur, and I was surprised to find myself deep into the process before I realized that things weren't quite right.

It was then that the coordinator walked into the hall and made an announcement, one that would shatter my hopes and dreams. The practical, it turned out, was not meant for third-year students like myself. The test I had been slaving over for days was for 200 level students only.

All the excuses in the world wouldn't change the situation, and I was left with no choice but to pack up my belongings, downheartedly. As I made my way home, the disappointment I felt turned into exhaustion, and I could feel myself starting to come down with a sickness.

The Battle with rain

The Battle with rain
Today, as I was walking home from school with my friend Lydia, the sky had dark clouds signaling an impending downpour. We quickened our pace, hoping to reach the safety of our homes before the rain could catch up with us.

However, despite our efforts, the rain began to pour heavily just as we reached a small convenience store on the way. Seeking shelter, we ran toward the entrance. The rain showed no signs of stopping, and after three hours, we realized we had no other option but to make our way home through the downpour.

As we stepped out from under the store's awning, we were immediately drenched. We maneuvered through the flooded streets, dodging potholes and seeking higher ground wherever we could find it.

At one point, we approached a particularly swollen drainage canal, its water rushing with alarming force. Fear crept into our hearts as we contemplated how we would cross. It was then that tragedy struck, as Lydia's designer sandal slipped from her foot and plunged into the swirling current.

Without a second thought, Lydia jumped into the drainage, disregarding the danger that lay before her. Panic surged through me as I watched her struggle against the powerful current. Acting on instinct, I reached out and grabbed hold of her arm, desperately trying to pull her back to safety. It was a relentless struggle, with Lydia refusing to let go of her precious sandal.

After what felt like an eternity, Lydia finally managed to retrieve her sandal. With a renewed surge of strength, I pulled her out of the drainage, both of us gasping for air. At that moment, I couldn't help but feel a mix of relief, frustration, and anger. I scolded Lydia, questioning her decision to risk her life for a mere sandal.

As we continued our journey home, the intensity of the rain began to slow, and we found ourselves laughing uncontrollably at the absurdity and how fun the whole incident was.
My anger was all vanished now and I laughed as hard on how my strong friend could have been carried away by water.

Funny Haircut

I woke up this morning with the realization that my hair was becoming unruly and in desperate need of a trim. The thought of my upcoming test and the school authorities' strict policy against untidy hair compelled me to make an immediate trip to my favorite salon.

As I entered the salon, I noticed the absence of my usual hairdresser. Panic set in, as I had grown accustomed to his skills and trusted his expertise. The other stylists seemed competent, but I couldn't help but feel unsure about letting them touch my hair.

Reluctantly, I approached one of the available stylists and tried my best to articulate how I wanted my hair cut. However, the anxiety gnawed at me, and doubt lingered in the back of my mind. Nevertheless, I took a deep breath and decided to place my trust in the hands of the stylist.

To my dismay, the haircut turned out to be a disaster. My hair was uneven, with jagged edges and an overall sloppy appearance. I could barely recognize myself in the mirror. Frustration welled up within me, and in a fit of anger, I paid the stylist only half of the usual cost of the haircut. I wanted to express my dissatisfaction but couldn't find the words to do so.

The next day at school, my worst fears came true. My fellow students couldn't stop laughing at my funny haircut. Everywhere I went, their snickers and pointing fingers followed me like a shadow. Even during the exam, as the room fell silent, a student sitting next to me burst into laughter after catching a glimpse of my hair. My face flushed with embarrassment, adding another layer of distraction to an already challenging test.

The laughter hurt, and I couldn't shake off the feeling of humiliation that clung to me like an unwanted accessory. Yet, deep down, I knew that I couldn't let this setback define me. I had to find a way to rise above the ridicule and reclaim my confidence.

In the following days, I sought solace in the support of close friends and family who reminded me that hair grows back, and this too shall pass. Their words of encouragement and genuine care helped me regain my perspective. I also took the opportunity to experiment with styling my hair in different ways, embracing the unique aspect of my new look. Slowly but surely, I began to rebuild my self-assurance, realizing that my worth extended far beyond my appearance.

As time passed, the laughter subsided, and my funny haircut became yesterday's news. The incident taught me a lesson for real.

BLACKOUT: A Reconciling to Nature

Frustrated hisses escaped my lips as I woke up to the reality of power outage, it's been 5 days already and we've been living like barbarians in the modern age, the power outage had a crippling effect for a student-filled environment. "When are they going to fix this?" I sighed, scrambling my hands in the dark to find my phone, it was 31 minutes to 6am, the area maintained a low noise as people were already up for the day's activities.

There is not much I can do but at least I won't sit and wail the whole day, I said a word of prayer and sprung out of bed, stretching with every morning energy left, I let out a loud yawn, "No hope for electricity, I will go charge-" I concluded and grabbed my charger.

Outside, I was unable to think clearly, it all felt like the outage was messing with my brain as well or maybe the morning hasn't kicked in yet. I went downstairs to ease myself into the soil of nature, that is the best place to be right now. Right there, I remembered an article about the benefits of standing barefooted on the ground, I gave it a try but quickly put my feet back into my slides.

"I've been away from nature for so long, is this how everyone lives now?" Feeling indifferent, I stood there reconciling with nature, maybe the blackout was for this purpose, "I have to start doing this often. But for now, I'll find a place to recharge my dying device."

Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday
woke up earlier than usual on this Sunday morning, my senses tingling with the anticipation of the day ahead. As I rubbed my eyes and glanced out the window, I could see that the weather was chilly, the air crisp and invigorating. It seemed as if nature itself was brimming with energy, ready to embrace the day.

A lazy yawn escaped my lips, but as my mind cleared, I remembered the grand concert we were hosting in church today. Being one of the organizers, I knew that it was going to be an incredible show, filled with lively performances and soul-stirring music. I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement coursing through my veins.

Although the program was scheduled to begin at 11am, I decided to start my preparations early. I knew that ensuring the success of the concert required careful planning and attention to detail. So, at 7am, I jumped out of bed, determined to give it my all.

The thought of the vibrant performances and the joyous celebration that awaited filled me with an indescribable energy. I could already envision a sea of clapping hands and joyful smiles from the congregation. It was going to be a day to remember.

With renewed enthusiasm, I went about my morning routine, showering off the remnants of sleep and getting dressed in my best attire. I made sure everything was in order, double-checking that the sound system was working flawlessly and ensuring that all the musical instruments were ready to be played.

As I write these words, I am setting out to church, eager to meet the other organizers and to see the preparations fall into place. The ink will soon dry on this page, and I will embark on this journey filled with passion and purpose.

Today is not just about putting on a performance; it's about using our talents and voices to uplift the hearts of those in attendance.

A WIFE FROM THE BEASTS

A renowned hunter called Gbom in the era we were told that both humans and animals coexisted. His den gun never missed a target. He was so skillful at hunting and was known for it everywhere at that time. He killed many animals, small and big. Gbom was not alone in this hunting. He had two giant dogs whose names were Piante and Injiko, and used to use a flute in calling them to perform any task or especially when he wanted them to attack an animal. On and on, he kept on with the game. Unknown to him, the animals on the other hands were scheming, planning on how to eliminate their common enemy, Gbom. Hence, this day, they summoned all the animals and discussed the way forward. It was the tortoise who suggested that one of the animals to transform in a beautiful damsel and lure Gbom into marrying her and once that is done, the lady in question should try and find out the secret behind Gbom's success in hunting and killing them unabated. All the animals concurred and an antelope was chosen to carry out the task which was successful. Gbom ended up marrying a wife from the beasts as planned by the animals, courtesy of Mr. Tortoise's suggestion.
Now, Gbom is settled down with his beast wife unknown to him. One day, after the evening meal, a sensitive conversation ensued between Gbom and his new beast-wife. '' my husband, she said, 'you are so skillful at hunting no doubt, and one could wonder that, apart from your dogs and as you shoot without missing, what else is your secret? Unknown to Gbom, he began to reveal all the secret to the wife. ''Well, he said, ''apart from all those you mentioned, I do turn to sand when the animals charged at me or turn to grasses or shrubs, green or dried, any one available or I turn to insects around when ever the animals attacked me''. The next day, the wife ran away back to the animals' kingdom and reported all she was told to the animals. At this point, the animals were battled ready for Gbom and began laying ambush for him.
One day, Gbom went to farm to inspect his traps. He does this without his dogs so that the dogs are not trapped by the trap. In fact, he left the dogs on chain and did not go with the two flutes he used to calling the dogs as well. Meanwhile, the animals who were by now monitoring his movement without his knowledge closed up at him that day and charged at him to kill. Gbom quickly changed to sand, the animals crushed all the sand. Seeing that he was found in that, he changed to grass, the animals found him. He changed to an insect, the animals equally saw him. Seeing that all his tricks were swallowed by animals, he quickly climbed a huge and tall Iroko tree. The animals quickly brought in axes and were cutting down the tree. Up there, Gbom sat knowing nothing to do than saying his last prayer. Just then, a dove flew and perched above him. Gbom began to beg the Dove to help him fetch his flutes so he could use and call his giant dogs for a great task. The Dove refused. The Dove said, Gbom used to chase him whenever she came to eat little grains from his silos. Just then, Mr. Hawk came hovering above Gbom. Gbom once again begged but Mr. Hawk complained that Gbom and others do chased him away whenever she wanted to catch just one Chick for a meal. Meanwhile, the animals intensified the cutting down of the tree and it was about swaying. Just then, Mr. Eagle came, she perched above Gbom. Gbom once again begged Mr. Eagle. The eagle agreed with one condition that he would bring the flutes and stay meters above and be throwing them at Gbom. At least, to that, Gbom concurred. So, the eagle went, brought in the flutes, went ten meters above and threw one at Gbom. Gbom managed to grasp it but failed. The flute landed on the ground and the animals crushed it into pieces. The Eagle went further above Gbom again. This time, about twenty meters away and threw the last flute. Gbom managed to grasp it by hands but the object slipped and finally hung between his toes. Gbom picked up the flute and began to call his giant dogs. As the two dogs heard the blasting of the flute as it filled the air, they knew their master was in danger and even on chains, they broke them, dashed out and began to hurriedly run towards the sound and direction where their master was. Lo and behold, the animals on seeing the giant dogs started running away. There was a great stampede. Big and small animals in large numbers were killed that day by Piante and Injiko, the giant dogs. It was the last blow and a huge loss on the side of the animals just as when the pharo and his army chariots were distroyed in the sea.

In the betting shop

In the betting shop
I woke up, to the reality and there was no light in my house. I felt really disappointed. It meant no electricity for the day.

I needed my phone, so I tried to find a way to charge it. I looked for a power bank, but I couldn't find one. My phone's battery was getting lower and lower.

I went outside, hoping to find a place to charge my phone. I ended up in a busy betting shop. People there were talking about football and making bets.

I joined the conversation about football. It was fun, and I forgot about my phone for a while. But I kept an eye on it because I needed it.

After a while, my phone finally had enough charge. I was really happy. I left the betting shop with a smile. It had been a strange day, but I found what I needed and met some interesting people.

As I walked out of the shop, a young guy approached me. He looked worried and said he was having trouble breathing. He wanted to know if I had any advice or knew about medicine he could take. I felt sorry for him, but I didn't know much about medicine. Our short talk reminded me that life can bring unexpected encounters, even on a day that started with no electricity.

Issues

Ayo and her friend Tope had been arguing for weeks about a group project they were working on for their class. Tope felt that Ayo wasn't contributing enough, while Ayo felt that Tope was trying to take over the project and not giving her enough say in the decisions. The tension between them was making it difficult for them to work together and get the project done on time.
One day, they decided to sit down and have a conversation to try to work out their differences. They agreed to use dialogue to solve their problem, to really listen to each other and understand each other's idea.
By using dialogue, Tope and Ayo were able to find a solution to their problem. They worked together much better and finished their project on time and received good compliments from the professor. From then on, they used dialogue as a tool for communication, helping them to avoid misunderstandings and to solve problems effectively.

My neighbor

There's this guy in our neighborhood that always starts his generator in the night, when everyone might have slept.

He does this so that he won't be disturbed. Then the generator will run throughout the night till fuel finishes.

One afternoon, my father told me to put on the generator let him check something.

After starting the generator, this guy that don't like people disturbing him was the first person to bring his phone to charge.

I wanted to ignored him and go inside but the stupid guy came and knocked on our door.

My father came out to collect his phone and charged.

This thing pained me, I wanted to tell my father to return the phone but I just let it slide.

Two weeks later, I saw this guy buying fuel and I knew immediately that he will put on his generator today.

That day, I waited for him. He put on his generator by half past eleven.

Before I could take my phone to him, he had already gone inside.

I went to the generator and put it off.

He came out to check what was wrong but saw nothing.

He started the generator again but before he could run inside, I came out from hiding and gave him my phone to charge.

The guy was surprised, he had no choice than to collect the phone.

This people don't know me in this village oo.
